For quite some time I've been searching for a touch light with fairies on the glass. Believe me, it hasn't been an easy find! Only fairies would do since this is what my granddaughter collects and it's planned for a special Christmas present. The blue and silver colors in the lamp complement each other. It arrived in great condition and I am almost as pleased as I'm sure my granddaughter will be! Though I bought it from another company through Amazon, the experience went smoothly as always.

This touch lamp is absolutely stunning. I have a fun fairy motif in my room as I am surrounded by males throughout the house and I wanted something feminine but male friendly. I put the lamp together myself with no problem but had it turning on all by itself until I did some research and found it needed its own power source. I ran a power surge protector under the bed and its been perfect ever since. The glass with the fairy image is actual glassand the metal is finished very nicely giving it a very refined and classy look. This lamp is truly a masterpiece.

This lamp is a touch lamp, but it is much larger than many of the others I have seen. The glass for the shades has a fairy beautifully displayed on each piece and the moon rises above her lovely face. It is blue and purple, and I adore the detail and brightness this piece uses for the glass itself. Ahh, but what's even better is that it is a touch lamp.... it required 3 25 what Type B lamp bulbs and has a three tap setting. It is glorious because it looks very feminine, antique-like, but with brushed chrome finish. What can I say? It's PERFECT! You will not regret purchasing this item. It arrived packed in packing peanuts, bubble wrap, and wrapped in plastic and cardboard where needed. Nothing was broken and it arrived swiftly. It's a piece I'll cherish forever. Well done ABC Market (applauding).

This is a beautiful lamp. It is easy to put together and even came with its own lightbulbs. It is sturdy and the dimming features are awesom. I love the way the lights through the glass makes the prettiest shadows on the wall. BUT it is limited by its wattage. It is not very bright at all and will not light an entire room.

I purchased this lamp and another black one for our bedroom. This was a great buy! It is larger than I expected, but it works well for me since I have two different night stands and mine is larger than average; so make sure to review the measurements. The bottom (where the lamp is mounted) is black, but the base is a dark brown with contrast stitching. The shade is very nice and soft as well.

The lamp is not too heavy, but not flimsy either.

Overall, I really like the lamp and definitely recommend it!

We bought two for our bedroom and are very pleased.

Here are some specifics that might help:

The entire lamp (with shade) is 28" tall. The base of the lamp is 10" wide and 4.5" deep. The shade is 15" wide, 10.5" tall and 8.5" deep. (I know that most of these measurements are already listed, but I just wanted to confirm them here.)

Another reviewer wrote that the lamp was larger than expected, but we didn't feel that way. It's exactly the size of the published measurements, and it doesn't look bulky yet it doesn't look flimsy either. It's proportional with our headboard.

A great thing about the lamp is that it doesn't take up much depth on our bedside tables thanks to the shape of the shade. The base of the lamp extends less than six inches from the back of our nightstand. Our old traditional lamps had to be centered on the table and therefore took up more surface space.

The shade is a microfiber suede-like material. The lamp itself has dark brown leather panels with white stitching. (The white stitching doesn't really show up in the photo, but it does in person.) At first we were disappointed that the stitching is white, but now we've grown to like it. We can always stain it darker brown if we want, but we'll likely leave it as is.

The leather looks and feels kind of like nubbly hard-sided vinyl panels; luxurious hand-sewn leather can't be expected at this price. The contrast stitching gives it a more leather-like appearance.

The shade has a nice glow when illuminated, and the tallness of the lamp provides light at a nice angle for reading.

Shipping was great from Amazon as always (we are Prime members, so they arrived within 48 hours) and they were packed very well by the manufacturer.

We are extremely happy with the lamps and they add a lot of style to our bedroom. Highly recommended.

I bought two of these for my bedroom since I was upgrading the furniture set in my new house. These arrived quickly and were a breeze to set up. My fiance and I each took less than 1 minute to unpack and install them today!

Not only was it easy to set up, it looks extremely compatible with our current bedroom set as well. Our bed is made of dark wood with a leather backrest, and I'm glad the materials at the body and base repeats these themes. They rest beautifully on top of our nightstands, and I like how the light does not really come through the shade, but through the bottom and top. They illuminate the ceiling and floors, without being hard on the eyes.

Just be careful about the bulb selection, the product description and technical details can be confusing on the bulb wattage requirements. 100 watts? 150 watts? Incandescent? Aren't these types of high energy bulbs out of style these days??? Anyways, I used an energy saving 11-watt bulb and it provides enough lighting for my bedroom at this moment at night. It doesn't need to be extremely bright, especially for its purpose as a nightstand lamp. I have ceiling lights if I need to light up the whole room.

EDIT: One other thing I forgot to mention, Although my bedroom furniture is a traditional dark wood/leathery theme, I would definitely buy this for my parents too, and they have this white-ivory-ish theme. The lamp's colors seems to make it a great fit for various furniture styles.

This lamp seems to burn through the low setting on 3-way bulbs way too quickly. I tried two different brands of light bulbs with the same result. Next, I decided to replace the lamp socket and discovered that this lamp does not use a standard size thread for the pipe. In the long run, it will be less expensive to replace the lamp, so here I am back at Amazon again because I am disgusted with the quality of this lamp. I will expect to pay more for better quality this time.

Yellowbird has soared to potent heights with his debut CD. Not only did his single "Pickup Truck" crest at the pinnacle of the Canadian country chart, Yellowbird was recently honored with five nominations at 2007's CCMA Awards. Spotting a Kenny Chesney look-a-like on the CD cover, "Life is Calling My Name" could easily be a not so distant cousin of Chesney's albums. Like Chesney, Yellowbird is purveyor of modern country conjuring up rockish country tunes with a few compelling ballads thrown in to balance things out. However, one of the reasons why Yellowbird is such a radio magnet is that he has a very engaging vocal personality: with shades of the blue-eyed soul of Keith Urban and the driving enthusiasm of Rodney Atiken. Further, Yellowbird has a way of captivating us to every phrase he sings. Contributive to the CD's success is also that each of the songs has minted melody and irresistible hook; many of which come from the galore of Nashville's scribal elite including Cadillac Sky's Bryan Simpson, Musik Mafia's Rodney Clawson, Jeremy Stover, Bryon Hill amongst many others.

Romantic aficionados are sure to be swept away by "Get Away with You." With its portrait-painting lyrics and Yellowbird's restraint but heartfelt vocals, "Get Away with You" is an elegantly crafted ballad. Here Yellowbird sings about a romantic getaway with his paramour in a snow-covered cabin with Yellowbird himself doing everything including the cooking. This Hobboma native sure knows how to get on the amicable side of his female fans. On the other hand, "Pickup Truck," Yellowbird's number 1 single, is a bouncy irresistible rouser with a wry Brad-Paisley-humor telling the story a dud constantly rejected by the ladies for his abysmal pickup lines. Some delightful banjo licks greet the nostalgic thumper "I Hear the Music," which is supposed to be Yellowbird's follow-up single.

With the avalanche of songs from female artists bickering about the type of men they want, "What a Beautiful Concept" is a slightly tongue-in-cheek male counterpart of Yellowbird dreaming of the perfect girl who does not mind his snoring, loves his pickup truck, and one who loves him for who he is. While the opener "They're All About You," despite its heartbreaking message, finds Yellowbird in a mean streak of countrified mood complete with some greasy slides of steel guitars and enough percussive kick to make this the next great country line dance. Letting loose for some Caribbean breeze is the ballad-like "A Summer Day," a picturesque Chesney-like samba-tingled sort in tribute of the sunny side of the seasons.

If there are any quibbles with this otherwise excellent debut, there is a loud is better attitude adopted by producer Bart McKay. The album hardly slows down for some more reflective ballads, save for "Get Away with You." Even on the supposedly relaxing "A Summer Day," the backing electric guitars are too indulgent. Nevertheless, "Life is Calling Your Name" is an enjoyable effort--one that has a bountiful spread of romance, humor, heartbreak and inspirational odes. Can't wait to see Yellowbird soar to even greater heights in the near future to come.

Stressed out from a busy week? Need to unwind or just visit with friends? Grab this CD and set the mood. Soulful deep Country songs. I fell in love with this CD from the first time I streamed it on Shane's website.

They're all about you is the perfect song for a romantic evening just watch out that Shane's smooth voice does not distract your lady from the matters on hand.

Pick-up truck is a great light hearted song.

You do not have to think much with this CD. It is easy listening at it's best that will calm you down.

Wow, what can I say. This guy can sing. His first single, "Beautiful Concept" was good, but the new one is even better "They're all about you". This is what country is all about. Not all poppy, but some good new country with just enough twang. "Pickup Truck" is hilarious and the title track is really catchy and inspiring. There are some great slow songs too that you will love. This is one CD I am spinning alot and can't decide which is my favorite cut. I would highly recommend it, even if you think you don't like country, I think you would be pleasantly surprised. Too bad you can't hear the tracks here, but think you can listen to some on his website.

I received this as a gift; several pieces around the edges of the lamp were about ready to fall off even though it was packed securely in a custom-shaped styrofoam packaging. They wiggled like loose teeth. A big disappointment.

I wanted a photoelectric eye timer that would work with my interior lights for an upcoming trip. Purchasing another brand (GE), the first unit was defective right out of the box. I happened across this unit at a local merchandise retailer in southeast Michigan. The description appeared to be just what I wanted. Programming appeared to be simple.

This timer is rated for 1000 watts -more than enough for multiple household lights. Unlike the GE unit, there was NO warning about using this product for more than 90 days in a row, which I found quite strange for an outdoor photoelectric timer controlling outdoor devices. There is only one output plug on the bottom. The power cord is a short 6" in length if it must be longer, then this unit must be connected to an extension cord.

There are multiple programmable settings that must be reprogrammed each time the unit is unplugged from the wall. Programming is cycling through the menu with the push of the green function button on the face, with an LED number readout displaying the following settings:

* F No Power (default start position upon being plugged into the wall)

* O Continuous On

* 1-9 Power on (in hours) at Dusk and then turn off

* d Turn on at Dusk and off at Dawn

* 1-9 Power on immediately and timer set (in hours) to turn off power

Do it a couple times and it will become second nature.

Also, whatever you program you select, this same program repeats daily. There is no provision for multiple programs at different times. This is a one program only timer.

How well does this timer work? In a dark room, I plugged it in with a test lamp connected and programmed the unit to turn on at dusk and turn off in 1 hour. It worked. I reprogrammed it to turn off in 2 hours. It also worked. The true test came at night -on at dusk (inside the house) and off in 5 hours. The light changes inside a house is less dramatic than outside, since other lamps and televisions can effect how well the photo eye actually performs. Mounted near a window, on a cloudy day, this unit sensed the decreased light inside the house and turned on an hour and a half before sundown. A table top lamp and television on inside didn't turn the unit off. Five hours later, the light turned off.

Overall, I'm pleased with this timer, even though the package states "For outdoor use only" it does work indoors as well, so long as enough light hits the photoelectric sensor and keeps the unit off. With a little repositioning, it works for me.

Have had several outdoor 'weatherproof' timers and some either didn't work at all or conked out in a rain or in most cases were too complicated to set for simple on and off operation. This one just plain works. Has a photocell to automatically turn lights on at dusk and you just program the number of hours you want it to stay on. Have had it running for two months and it is great. Set it and forget it. Inexpensive too.

I bought one of these units about 12 years ago at a local hardware store (now out of business, fie on Lowe's). I use it outdoors, for Christmas lighting.

Each year I plug it in on Thanksgiving, and turn it off in mid-January. Here in Upstate New York there is so much snow, wind and cold temps by January, so I leave the switch outdoors until late March.

The switch is exposed to rain, snow, nighttime temps below -20 F, direct sun in the daytime, etc., etc. In short, it has tough duty outdoors in the worst 4 months every year.

It has never failed me. Comes on every evening at sunset, and stays on for exactly how long I set it. Nothing random or unreliable. Having a three-wire system is an extra plus for safety. I use a ground-fault receptacle to help protect against shorts, but in 12 years there has never been a ground fault short.

I particularly appreciate that the directions are embossed on the cover of the unit. Since I hook it up once a year, I never need to scratch around to find the programming directions. They are right there in my hand. It takes about 30 seconds to read the directions and program it. Very easy by any standard.

Today I'm buying two more of these little gems from Amazon, so if the first one ever goes out I'll have a lifetime more of them.

Very highly recommended.

I bought several of these for my outdoor Christmas lighting. I specically picked them because the product description stated "...125-Volt, 15 Amps, 1875-Watt resistive 125-Volt,...".

The timers arrived and are clearly marked "8.3 amps, 1000W". They are the same manufacturer's model as listed by Amazon.

I understand that most of these type of timers are max'd at 8.3 amps but, still, an item should match it's description.

I'll update this review later after I see how they work.

I bought 6 of these to attach to my deck. They have now gone through a winter, spring showers, hot summer, and monsoon season. The strings have loosened up VERY slightly but they are still holding the cans filled with oil perfectly.

I have had them for almost a year now and I would expect them to last for at least another 2 years before it comes to possibly have to replace them but I might be able to save the money and fix them up myself.

They are not all perfectly perpendicular to the base but to me that just adds character. They arn't so far off that it's ugly or can't stand correctly.

In the end I gave them a 4 star rating only because they are cheaply made in, of course, China but are still worth it since they are "cheap".

I would recommend these to anyone who wants a cheap easy way to spice up their patio or deck.

I purchased two of these from Amazon. Both of these torches barely stood on their own...the base was warped and turned. I returned them both and got replacements. The replacements are fine. I thought the vessel would hold more fuel then it does. It holds about 6-8 oz. I'm constantly refilling them. The wick that came with these is great! It's a nice slow, even burn.

Bought this a few week ago and hardly ever turn it off. It's a beautiful lamp and I enjoy watching the current run through it. The blue and green are stron but the red is a little lacking. I do thouroughly love this lamp and am considering purchasing another, if I can find one.

Here is a brief video clip of this lamp. I apologize for the sideways view: fit the camera better. As you can see, the lamp is very similar to the plasma-type globes that you see at the malls. This lamp will attract the light similarly when you touch it. Overall, it is pleasing to look at and does NOT get hot. One reviewer said the base is ugly. I would state it is functional as an electrical base. The color distribution stays fixed.

Hmmm... I was under the impression that the picture of the item displayed on this page represented the item I would receive, but that isn't the case. The item itself is pretty cool though, and if blue light and blue light only is what you're looking for, you'll love this little novelty. If it's multi-colored electricity (like the photo on this page) that you want, get the Infin-8 Electra Lamp in Blue / Multi LumiSource. See my posted photos for a better look at what you get with this model.

Since the item description describes a blue hand-blown glass "globe", I guessed that the description was one for some other similar item, as this has nothing on it that remotely resembles a "globe". Having concluded that that part of the description was incorrect, I discarded the entire description from consideration. I was wrong, dagnabbit. It's the photo that is generic, and is being used to depict all of the different models available for this item, this one being the blue glass/blue electricity model. Instead of multi-colored light, you see only blue-colored electricity inside this lamp, as per the description.

Regarding it being great for a desk lamp, I wouldn't go that route if I were you nowhere near enough light from this unit for that purpose strictly a novelty & decorative lighting item.

Three stars only because of the inaccurate photo that led me to order the wrong item. If it hadn't been for that, I'd have 5'd it for sure it is pretty darn groovy to look at!

We bought two of these, in bronze, to install as reading lamps over / next to our bed. They were packed well and everything arrived intact. Installation is a bit tricky but not too bad, though I would strongly recommend throwing away the wall anchors that came with the unit and getting some better ones. I used the ones in the box, and with the drill bit they suggested, the anchors almost disappeared completely into the wall, and a result, it's not affixed to the wall securely enough, IMO.. I need to go back and reinstall with better anchors, but thought I would share this suggestion so that maybe someone doesn't make the same mistake. Also, I made the mistake of putting the first one directly in line with the wall outlet, and it ended up being too close to use both the cord covers so I had to shorten it with a chop saw. On the 2nd installation, I put it to the side of the outlet, so if the cord cover was too long, it's not a big deal. Happy to clarify if that's confusing.

Also, I couldn't find this info anywhere in the product description, but it takes a 50/100/150 watt bulb, so it can get as bright as you need to.

In summary, these are good-looking lamps at a nice price, and that don't require the installation of any electrical fixtures. Make sure you pay careful attention to some details when you do the install, and get some better anchors, and it'll save you some grief.

After my twin babies had knocked over and broken the second reading lamp in their room, I decided to get a wall lamp so that they wouldn't be able to reach it. I love this lamp! I installed it on the wall above where the kids can reach from the floor, and while sitting in the rocking chair with one in each arm, I can easily swing it towards us for reading books and then swing it back towards the wall out of reach when we transition to rocking/singing (which was always the part of our bedtime routine when they would reach over and grab the lampshade or knock the lamp to the floor). It has a three way switch and gives great, warm light for reading. It looks nice on the wall, too. I only docked one star because the shade it comes with is a bit flimsy and cracked while I was installing it. You can't really see the crack, though, so it's not that big a deal (and was hardly worth the time/effort to ship back for a replacement). Very easy to install (you do need a drill, though) and it comes with a long, narrow metal cord cover that you can install on the wall to hide the cord on its way to the outlet (another useful feature for deterring two curious kids!).

Lamp looks nice, works correctly, and fits what can loosely be called my "decor." Only problem is that the cord should have been at least a foot longer. Manufacturers need to keep in mind that not everyone lives in a house where there are plug-ins every six inches along the wall.

The lamp is clearly advertised as using a 150 W bulb and a 3 way switch...exactly what I was shopping for.

It's attractive and will do what I expected it to do EXCEPT: the Harp, which is almost impossible to compress and fit into the lamp stem is so small that a regular GE 150 W 3way bulb will not fit inside the harp. The harp must lean against the bulb which hints at early bulb burnout due to overheating. It could even be a safety issue.

I wonder if the people who design these things ever really put one to use.

I'm very pleased with these lamps. They arrived in perfect condition (creatively packed in a very small box). They were easy to assemble, the switch feels solid, and the wiring appears to be good quality. I'll shop at Wildon Home again.
