Discount NFL New York Jets Helmet Lamp
we purchased this lamp for our son, to complete his jets themed bedroom. The lamp goes perfectly with the rest of the jets themed items. The lamp lets out alot of light so you could even get away with a smaller watt light bulb.we love it and our son loves it even more

We paid fifty bucks for this on Amazon. The next day, the price was tripled to one fifty. Now, this is a very pretty lamp. Too small for the space (family room) we intended; it'll fit well as a nightstand lamp in our guest bedroom. You should check the dimensions and be aware of the lamp's petite size. It's a very nice lamp though, well worth the money we paid. Is it worth a hundred fifty? I don't think so; the three star rating reflects the small size and the large price.
So, great price, made everyone happy, but I missed the part where it informed me the shade was plastic.

So pretty that I am going to get a second one. I was originally going to put this in my guest room, but now want them for my night stands. Florescent bulbs make the colors pop!Best Deals for Tiffany Style DragonflyTable Lamp
This lamp is NOT white, but a pretty shade of blue. Alright with me b/c I love blue. Gives a lot of light, which is the only reason I ordered white. Also, the spindle on the top which holds the shade in place has crooked threads, so the shade sits a little tilted. OK, cause hubby can fix that. So I gave it a four for those problems. Othewise it is a quality lamp, and I am pleased.Honest reviews on Tiffany Style DragonflyTable Lamp
Thank god she did, because the shade is made of a very good grade of plastic. For me, that's great; it might survive a drop, unlike a glass tiffany shade. I was very worried my wife would give me a load of grief (Christmas present) about the plastic, but it looks great dark and looks AWESOME lit up.So, great price, made everyone happy, but I missed the part where it informed me the shade was plastic.

I own a commercial interior design company and purchase a lot of $100-$150 lamps for modern/contemporary office use. This one is pretty decent. It is heavy and pretty well made -especially the shade. I did not find any of the issues described here except the cardboard and foam packaging is Chinese. It's does the job and then goes in the garbage. The overall quality is a little better than Lite Source and Kenroy and about the same as Possini. We plan to buy more of these at this price point. We ordered two for our bedside tables. Shipping time was abnormally long and very poor communication from supplier when we tried to locate shipment. Packaging was in very poor quality cardboard cartons and styrofoam both of which seem to disintegrate in your hands leaving a mess. The wood is actually resin painted very poorly. The resin casting was sloppy leaving ragged hard resins edges that the manufacturer made no attempt to sand smooth. The felt bottom was slapped on leaving one ragged resin ridge unprotected and ready to gouge wood tops. The poorly attached metal trim had broken loose in shipment and was unsightly. All in all a shoddy product from an unprofessional supplier.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The lighting from this lamp is excellent. It is perfect for knitting, drawing, reading, and provides a good deal of light to a room.
The Intertek GX9906 desk lamp is a fully functional no-frills desk lamp. The 27 watt fluorescent bulb turns on instantly and provides even, bright and color-neutral light. This is an excellent desk lamp for reading, detail craft work and general office use. The styling is clean and unobtrusive. This is a good buy at the list price of $23.95.
Highly recommended.
What I don't like is that the lamp is "in its own way". That is to say, the light is above a large base that occupies a fair amount of desk space. You have to tilt the light to put it on the work space instead of having it directly downward, which is an area occupied by the base. The base is large and curves, so you can't put anything on it. It seems to me either the neck should have been larger or the base could swivel more.
Also the size of the bulb makes for a largish lamp area, which just looks a little bulky. Nothing particular, just it isn't "elegent". I suppose that is the price to pay for more evenly distributed light.
If you are going for a good work light for a kids homework or a home office, this is good for that. It isn't "warm" nor is it elegent, but it is very practical.
The light is not only bright but it is white light to. It is small doesn't
take up to much space.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a simple and bright desk lamp, giving off a bright white light. The character of the light is what you might expect from a fluorescent fixture in an office setting; not warm, but good for reading and such. The bulb is non-standard (e.g. not in all local hardware stores) but seems readily available for a decent price. What I don't like is that the lamp is "in its own way". Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is my first desk lamp that uses a fluorescent bulb. I've worked under 40 watt fluorescent tubes and found the flicker annoying. But this lamp puts out a bright white light that can be shielded from your eyes by the very adjustable neck. It is easy to read or do detailed fine line work comfortably. The heavy base is very stable. The on/off switch is easily accessible at the top of the neck. Overall, I like this lamp better than lamps that use standard or curly bulbs. Other lamps in this price range are flimsy or have reduced light. This is a good buy.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Home Design, 14 Inch Tall, Fluorescent Desk Lamp (Black)

Best Vintage Motion Hula Lamp / Girl In Dancing Pose Deals
My husband has wanted one of these ever since he saw one on The Pickers tv show. He loves it and it's a lot prettier than the picture. It looks great in his cave. It puts out just the right amount of light for the cave.
Its merely a replic. i do like it however there are other problems. The lampshade connection is a different style than the lamp connection . One require a traditional harp and the other is the newer style that's the slide on ring built into the lampshade. So it's useless. In addition the hula girl's hip stopped hulking a week or so after we got her.
Overall... A waste of money.

List Price: $175.00

This is a beautiful lamp, especially by mainland standards. It does have a few problems, which I will deal with below.
1) This lamp is a bit larger than I expected. It makes a real statement, with its dark wood and chrome accents, so don't expect it to blend into the background unless the rest of your decor is modern/chrome and the like. Don't expect it to go well with Ethan Allen.
2) The parts aren't really fixed to each other all that well. The black part swivels slightly on the chrome rod. I've noticed this lack of fixed attachment on other mainland lamps. It's really not an issue unless you bang into it a lot.
3) The shade is just a tad small for the size of the lamp, and the off white color isn't, in my opinion at least, appropriate for the base. I was planning all along to order (from Fenchel Shades) a black linen replacement to match my other lamps, so this was never an issue for me. The base does seem to require a rectangular shade, the base being wider in one dimension than the other. Round just won't cut it, though I considered oval, which is available from replacement shade manufacturers as well.
The switch is on the lamp, where it belongs, and not on the wire.
The lamp comes with a 13-watt flourescent (equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent) to keep it in compliance with California law, though it will take a brighter flourescent and even a regular bulb. I generally use 23-watt fluorescents. And, despite the blurb, unless I'm missing something, this lamp is not dimmable.

This lamp is more expensive than what I wanted to spend so my expectations were extremely high and it did not dissapoint! I bought this to go next to a reading chair with ottoman and it is soooo perfect! Solid, high quality piece. Easy to put together and lamp shade is stunning. I hate flimzy floor lamps...this is not soo..it is solid, heavy and sturdy. The light that illuminates from it gives my family room the warmth I was hoping for! Don't hesitate on this one!
I purchased this table lamp in 2009, and absolutely love it-the shade is made with a quality, dark reddish, almost maroon fabric, and the lamp base is metal-solid. That table lamp looked exactly like what was pictured.
The lamp I received today is horrible-the shade is shiny, thin, bright orangey-red; can barely see the gold threads; the finial is permanently attached to the harp, and made of shiny brown plastic--its not swirls like whats in the picture, but just a hook shape. I didnt even get to the rest of the lamp, packed everything in the box to go back asap.
This item was definitely NOT what was pictured. Amazon has never failed me before, but I am having second thoughts about how I shop this Christmas.

I was a bit disappointed in how short this lamp was. I used the bulb recommended yet it doesn't illuminate very well, so keep that in mind if you want it for reading. That said, it is very cute!Best Deals for Kenroy Home Richardson Floor Lamp
The bottom half of the lamp pole didn't screw into the top half. There were no grooves to making screwing possible. The varnish was poorly done. The lampshade is one you can get at any home improvement store for $19.99. Just an over-priced piece of crap. That these retailers get away with selling this junk just infuriates me. And then I get stuck with return shipping.Honest reviews on Kenroy Home Richardson Floor Lamp

This is a well-made floor lamp. It was a bit more pricey than I was looking to spend however the colors and style are perfect for my decor. Delivery was very fast and assembly only took about 10 minutes. ****Be aware though that this lamp is only about 4'5" tall so it is shorter than most other floor lamps.**** It works great as a reading lamp beside a chair. (which is what I wanted) In my opinion it does not put off enough light to cover an entire room. The lampshade color is a cross between wine red and brick red with gold accents. When the lamp is lit the shade looks more brick colored. The accent thread is a non-metallic light gold.Wednesday, September 3, 2014

This light gave me exactly what I wanted over my small bar in a home billiards room. The color was what we expected. We had some good custom thinking on how to hang from a suspended ceiling with the grid and all. Be sure to know what the real size is because it is smaller than you might think, but it was perfect for our spot. Delivery was in fact 2 days early. The price was great with all the protections. Get the right switch for haolgens that can dim. One area could be improved on the product itself: the adjustment nuts to set the lenght of the cable could be a little more sturdy. We made it work with what we got but it could have been a little easier set screw as we had some trouble pulling the cable through and then setting it and afraid we might strip it out. Otherwise I would recommend this light again. All worked when we first turned on the switch. Good product at a good price.Would not work. Had a electrician look at it, had to rewire it. It works know. Looks good over pool table.

Reviews of Murray Feiss Set of 2 Bronze Coral Table Lamps
Ordered the Coral Table Lamps but received something different all together. FORTUNATELY, the lamps that did arrive I found to be a better match for my bedroom. When I contacted Amazon to see if they could help me determine the value of the lamps that I did received, I was met greeted by a customer service rep that offered "we are only human and we make mistakes" assistance.
I am only hoping that the lamps that were sent were of at least the same if not greater value. None the less, I am happy with the NON-CORAL looking lamps that did arrive.

I bought this to hang over a kitchen table, and update an older fixture. I also purchased two pendant conversion lights for the kitchen. Love them all. I did hire an electrician to install, glad I did. Don't think with my limited skill, I could have done this solo. This looks great! Nice warm light, but bright enough for dining, reading the paper, and the countless other tasks we do at the kitchen table. The bowl is very tea stained in color, and doesn't quite match the "antique linen" shades of the pendants, but it wasn't necessary to do all matchy-match. So, it all works, and I'm very satisfied. Great price, too!Wednesday, May 14, 2014
Reviews of Table Lamp
This lamp is so beautiful and arrived only two days after I ordered it. It is exactly what I was looking for... it has a handsome study base with beautiful warm cheery colored wood, and the light coming through the shade is warm and lovely. It is a nice traditional style and would fit with a variety of decor. It is perfectly proportioned and easy to use. I am using it as a bedside lamp. I am so pleased with the beauty of the product and the quick delivery that I just ordered a second one.

I love this lamp.
As soon as I opened the box I noticed the vast differences between this lamp and all the so-called drafting lamps I've owned over my long art career. Engineered thoughtfully yet practically, this lamp is made out of quality parts. The two tightening nuts each found on the swiveling joints have an incredible bite. That is, if you even need to use them: I have the lamp fully extended as I type this and I have no concerns about this lamp holding a fixed position for long periods of time, something I cannot say about any other swing-arm task lights I've owned (and I've owned many.) Because of the four firmly bolted, top-quality springs and the thick metal trusses, it has stayed in that position since yesterday without deviation.
I knew even before I ordered that this was no "ALVIN" lamp. One reason why I curse the name ALVIN is because of the consistently crappy desk lamps they make. The base clamp of a task lamp has been a constant ulcer-inducing concern for me because of ALVIN lamps in particular. (*Imagine hearing a crash in the middle of the night and knowing that it was your task lamp torquing itself free from its clamp, destroying the lamp in the process.) The clamp on this lamp has a wide footprint and is bonded with rubber on its underside. It is made out of thick metal and has two tightening screws and a vice clamp. One of the tighteners is slotted through a chamber with rigid metal notches to further change the angle of the lamp, fixing its position with almost no further tightening. Impressive. There is also a three-pronged power outlet included in the base to plug in other things. Another problem I've had with other task lamps is the shade: the plastic handle would easily slip out while adjusting the angle and therefore was prone to becoming lost, leaving your hands to be burned by the hot metal or plastic. The handle on this lamp is literally bolted to the shade and is made out of the same quality metal as the rest of it. I can confidently adjust the shade without worrying about the lamp twisting free of its moorings. It also disperses heat very well, unlike others which seem to trap heat in the area of your workspace with suffocating despair.
I don't buy anything without doing a great deal of research on its quality. When looking for quality products, I look at its overall function and steer clear of planned obsolescence. Finalizing a purchasing decision for me can take weeks. When it came time to look for another drafting lamp, because of some of the disappointments I've listed with other task lamps, I felt I needed to attack the problem of getting a quality drafting lamp with the same amount of conviction. I spent weeks online pouring over page after page related to desk lamps, drafting lamps, and architect lamps. I read hundreds of reviews for lamps touted as "architect drafting lamps." I can say with almost absolute certainty that almost all lamps marketed towards drafting people are egregiously overpriced. Most of them are just expensive designer lamps with no more function than a cheap $20 task lamp. As a consumer unaware of factory processes, this was difficult to discern online as I had to wade through tons of marketing bs geared to offload poorly made foreign overstock. (*I even got the widely lauded craft lamp Ott-Lite L139AB 13-Watt VisionSaver+ High Definition Task Lamp with Swivel Base, Black, which was constructed almost entirely of plastic and would not turn back on after using it only once. Even the tab which held the bulb in place snapped instantly when I tried to remove the bulb to check for any loose connections. I was so disappointed I re-doubled my efforts to find a good drawing lamp. I still await my refund from J&R Music two weeks after returning it.)
Everything inside the packaging box was carefully protected from potential shipping damage with blocks of styrofoam, bubble wrap and cardboard lightly taped around sensitive parts. To my surprise, a 100W bulb was included, despite the print on the manufacturer's box stating that a 75W bulb was included. It was delivered in a box with the words "Made in Thailand" printed on the outside. It is made by APCO, model LC541. The internal warranty paperwork shows "Affordable Products" as the header to their address. (*I don't understand the logic in advertising this lamp as being manufactured by ALVIN when many artists have experienced nothing but similar disappointment in their lamps.) Other info as printed on the packaging: Spring-balanced 46' extension arm with 3-conductor cord, 120V 60Hz.
The local drafting supply store is selling a similar combination lamp for $150, which is the common retail price for a lamp of this kind. There is currently a similar lamp being sold on Amazon (black), but I decided to go with this one because it was being sold by QUINT GRAPHICS (which has a cool selection of stuff) with a difference of a few pennies. I bought it for $63.00. 6,300 pennies. Worth. Every. Penny.
It creates an even and bright light that's great for reading (just like in the library -I'm in grad school and need to do a ton of reading), and you don't get that spotlight glare off the pages like you do with regular single-bulb lamps or halogen lamps. The two switches on top are sturdy and clean looking. You don't have to hold down the button like some reviews mentioned for similar lamps. The shipping was fast, it came well-packaged in an ALVIN box within a larger amazon.com box, and the ALVIN box was in perfect condition. I got mine from tiger supplies using the amazon prime shipping.
My only minor gripe is that I thought the lamp would come with both a circular and 60 watt incandescent bulb, but mine only came with the circular bulb. Then again, I just looked at the box and it doesn't say both are included, so I suppose maybe I misread the description on the website.
All in all, very happy with this purchase. It was well worth the cost.
The product came quickly, securely packaged, and with adequate instructions for hooking it up.
This light is a beast! It is bulky because of the two lights and the very ample construction.
I LOVE IT.
However, it does have a problem in the mounting clamp. I simply tightened it up on 1 " pine at first. I do move the light a lot for multiple purposes, and within two weeks it came loose at the clamp. What I've done now is use two metal plates, 1/16" x 4" X 8", between the clamp and the pine, and tightened it snugly.
I now expect to have a bright, strong, and secure light for the next decade.
===================================================
How time flies--a year and a 1/2 after buying this light, my decade passed!
The seemingly solid C-clamp base bent and cracked under the weight of this lamp.
When i went to look for another clamp, i found it was nearly $30!!
I'm going to try and fabricate my own clamp for now, and rather than spend more money on Alvin's poor products if that doesn't work, I'll go looking for another lamp altogether.

Worth. Every. Penny.

The lamp I got was not an ALVIN as advertised. It is an APCO, made in Thailand. It is not the lamp pictured although very, very similiar. I have tried the lamp and must say that I am happy with the light quality. I will keep this item, but will send in the warranty because if it fails I will ask for a refund. Again, although false advertising I believe it may be what I need. Hopefully it will swing and yet hold the it's position. And extra bonus that is not pictured, there's an extra plug-in located at the base, next to the clamp.Best Deals for Clamp Mounting Combination Lamp with Adjustable Metal Arm
The ALVIN combination lamp is exactly what I was hoping for. It sticks in place amazingly well even when stretched all the way out. (I don't even have to tighten the clamps for it to stay in place.) The springs are hidden which makes it look a lot better, and it's completely silent as you move it around. No paint chips, no spring noise. The clamp holding it to the table is very sturdy metal, not plastic, and there's a bit of padding under the top side to prevent scratching the desk (hopefully it works).
Honest reviews on Clamp Mounting Combination Lamp with Adjustable Metal Arm
I like this light, but it came to me without the the swivel stand which clamps it onto the table. I called the vendor, Tiger Supplies, and they promised to send the stand, but it never came. So I had to try to find one on my own, a lot of aggravation. So if you buy this lamp, get it from a vendor other than TigerSuppliesFind helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Clamp Mounting Combination Lamp with Adjustable Metal Arm
I was looking for a swing arm light that didn't break within a year of purchasing it. The main weakness in the past has been the plastic connection between the arm and the shade. This light seemed so strong, in the writeups, that the connection would be metal, and it is(although not confirmed in any comments or literature I saw).

How time flies--a year and a 1/2 after buying this light, my decade passed!

Discount Good Directions 207CH Large Oil Table Lamp with Snuffer Cap
I bought three of these a couple of months ago. Not that that matters except that after buying and burning them, I am a willing to be a repeat customer.
These are really very nice. A few minor issues to be aware of, though. They do not come with poles even though the description indicates that they do. I've ordered these a few times and they are just the lamp/wick/ferrule itself.
They are a bit expensive compared to other/cheaper oil lamps but they also look nice. The medium is also really more of a small. It's pretty tiny and just a few inches in diameter. The snuffer cap is the same size as the big ones so it kind of gets lost under the cap.
Also, there is no locating ridge or fit that centers the snuffer and keeps it centered. The weight of the chain tends to tilt it off to the side if anything bumps it but they tend to stay in place just fine. The filler hole is the same as the wick hole and a bit on the small side. There is a wick ferrule that holds and centers the wick so you don't have to re-thread the wick each time you fill the lamp. The hole is still fairly small (maybe a half inch) so you may want to use a small funnel to fill these or you might pour oil all over, especially if it's windy.
Now the good.
These just look nice. It's a very attractive design. Also copper is a stylish metal to use. Copper itself is a little soft though the hammering and shaping should have hardened it. The chain is still soft copper which makes it easy to attach the loop at the end to whatever mount you use for the lamps but there is no place on the lamp itself to secure the snuffer cap chain. My lamps all were packed well and arrived in perfect condition.
I poured sand into ceramic saucers for clay pots to bed these lamps in. It really stabilizes the lamps since the flat portion of the base isn't that large. The sand will also soak up any oil that might spill during filling. The large lamps will hold a lot of oil though I didn't fill mine to the seam just in case it isn't oil tight. I would bet it is, and maybe even soldered, but I wasn't sure so didn't overfill. It might be more obvious on the straight copper ones.
The wick height seems to be fairly sensitive. A little adjustment can make a pretty big change in flame height. The flame is also fairly thin in width but nicely tall the way I have my wicks adjusted. With the lamp oil I am using, I get a beautiful orange flame with very little soot. Supposedly the fiberglass wicks will last virtually forever from other comments I have seen about them. And the snuffers with the chains make it really easy and clean to cover over the wicks and put out the lamps.
They do cost a bit more than the oil lamps you can buy at outdoor supply stores. There are a few features that might make them not suitable for some locations/installations. I think bedding them in sand is pretty much essential if you might have any risk of someone or some thing tipping them. The poles they show in many of the pictures might be nice but they are also $30 making the total cost more like $70 per lamp if you go that route. But they are elegant and make a garden look very nice. The night view with dancing orange flames is gorgeous.

Needed some torches for some existing Tiki-brand torch stands that I had. Measurements were pretty much spot-on with the 207CH and they fit great. The flat bottom makes it easy to fill. I recommend a funnel however because the opening is small. Finish holding up well after many weeks of use. Snuffer works great and is a nice addition. Used these in very windy conditions recently and they stayed lit unlike other torches I have owned. I recommend these for either table or stand use. There seems to be confusion as to whether stands are included with these torches. Mine did NOT come with the stands (they were listed as table torches), so this review is for the torch bowl only.Best Deals for Good Directions 207CH Large Oil Table Lamp with Snuffer Cap

I like the shape, color of copper & size. But 2 of my oil lamps came w/out wicks. Not sure what size to order.
