Its a tiny little cute solar light. Its only less than a foot in length and about 4 inchs in height. Also,each turtle is only about 3x3inch in size. Anyway, the light is yellowish-brownish (due to the carapace color) bright and turns on automatically at night (charging at day). Easy to use, just turn on and put it somewhere outside and enjoy it each night. We put it in the corner of our patio and it enlights the whole corner in a faint but cozy way.

The product is cute, but ten inches shorter in height than the description indicates, and six inches less as long as the description indicates, both indications in the product description distinctly say, "assembled" height/length. I'd suggest that Amazon revise the product information to indicate that this is a very small item. As it is, this is highly deceptive advertising.

Moonrays often come up with uniquely lit solar-powered statues and this is no different. First thing to note is the current dimensions shown on the Amazon product page of 14 x 4.2 x 17 inches are way off. I'd say the length is about 12 inches, the height maybe 5" and the width 3". It's still quite large but no way near the size stated in the description at the time of writing.

Each turtle lights up separately at night with a suitable glow on its back. Without cracking it open I couldn't say for certain but I'd hazard a guess that each one contains just a single LED. They're still quite bright but in a serene down-played way and not super bright glowing. You won't be lighting up parts of your deck with this one and that's really not what it's for the little fellows just look cool tucked into a dark corner of your garden ready to add a splash of shine at night.

Construction is as expected; pretty much a single resin mold with solar panel on one side. Despite us placing the solar panel against the deck railing there's still enough UV that gets poured into them to light them up for several hours.

As always with solar-powered object d'art I recommend replacing the cheap NiCad batteries that are supplied with 2700mA or greater NiMHs which you can buy here on Amazon for a couple of bucks each. The difference in longevity of duration and brightness of the light is significantly improved by doing so.

So you have here a very nice and unusual item that graces any garden or deck.

These little turtles are so cute. I purchased them for my brother who lives in Florida, and I happened to be at his house when they arrived. I have to say I was a little embarassed because they were so SMALL. They took a day to charge, and then 2 of the 3 turtles lite up. He was going to move them to a more sunny location (they were in complete sun where they were, but he felt the front of his house had more direct sun for a longer portion of the day). Considering they were not shaded by any trees during the day, I feel they should work where you want to place them for the effects of decorating! I know they weren't a lot of money, but I don't feel they were worth even the $16.00 that I paid. Very disappointed.

The dark bronze is darker than the photo looks and is a decent match for restoration hardware's version of bronze. Lamp looks more expensive than it was. Fairly heavy. Shade is a little big for the size of the lamp by just a bit, but still ok. Lamp has high and low settings but works with a fluorescent bulb anyway. Pleased

I needed a good adjustable bright floor lamp for sewing, quilting, etc. Ordered this one since it was inexpensive compared to most others that can be adjusted. Initially, I realized that is was taller than I needed and the goose-neck wouldn't bend down far enough when I was in my recliner. While I was debating what to do, my hubby saw it and said it was exactly what he needed to replace a large bulky floor lamp we bought for under $20 from the local WM. He promptly moved it to his chair and now I'm still in the dark! I'm going to order another one and remove one of the segments from the stand to make it shorter. Granted I will have to cut off the plug (after marking it so I can use another polarized replacement plug) and pull one of the segments off and then rewire a new plug to the cord. Being raised by an electrician/plumber has come in handy on more than one occasion!

I bought two of these as a gift for my Mother. She picked them out herself as she loved the style of the lamp and the gold accents on the shade. When they came, she first noticed that they came with plain shades, no gold trim. Replacements were sent but before they arrived, we noticed one of the original lamp's switch was broken. The first replacement had a functioning switch but the shade was beat up, the second lamp was a completely different lamp. Out of the 4 lamps we managed to get 2 complete lamps with plain shades, this was enough to pacify my Mom. There is also a lot of yellow veining in the ivory finish that does not show in the picture illustrating this product. My Mom decided to keep the lamps, this is the only reason this product is getting 3 stars. Once again, this lamp does not look exactly like the picture shown.

This is a beautiful lamp, especially by mainland standards. It does have a few problems, which I will deal with below.

1) This lamp is a bit larger than I expected. It makes a real statement, with its dark wood and chrome accents, so don't expect it to blend into the background unless the rest of your decor is modern/chrome and the like. Don't expect it to go well with Ethan Allen.

2) The parts aren't really fixed to each other all that well. The black part swivels slightly on the chrome rod. I've noticed this lack of fixed attachment on other mainland lamps. It's really not an issue unless you bang into it a lot.

3) The shade is just a tad small for the size of the lamp, and the off white color isn't, in my opinion at least, appropriate for the base. I was planning all along to order (from Fenchel Shades) a black linen replacement to match my other lamps, so this was never an issue for me. The base does seem to require a rectangular shade, the base being wider in one dimension than the other. Round just won't cut it, though I considered oval, which is available from replacement shade manufacturers as well.

The switch is on the lamp, where it belongs, and not on the wire.

The lamp comes with a 13-watt flourescent (equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent) to keep it in compliance with California law, though it will take a brighter flourescent and even a regular bulb. I generally use 23-watt fluorescents. And, despite the blurb, unless I'm missing something, this lamp is not dimmable.

It is a really great lamp with a lot of detail on it and any dragon lover would enjoy this in their collection. The only issue I have is getting off the orb to change the light bulb which can be a pain in the neck as their are clamps on the inside. You have to carefully slide the orb off or else you could possibly break it. The bulb used is 7w so its more of a nightlight then a really bright lamp.

They come set up as a night light, but I fit in a 60w equivelent flourecent bulb (harder to get with a candelabra style base) and use it as a reading lamp. Looks great and attracts attention. Curious why a dragon would need a sword.

Simple and practical, this lamp works perfectly in our newborn's nursery. I really like this lighting set. Pay attention to the measurements though on the 2 lamps, I didn't realize they were this size until I checked back on the product page to verify measurements. Though not as big as I hoped, they are still very pretty and elegant. They fit my end tables in my living room very well and supply plenty of lighting. I really bought this for the two smaller lamps for my bedroom, but I figured for the price an extra lamp wouldn't be hurt. These are very nice quality and came well packed, so there was no fear of any of them breaking. I was actually surprised at how heavy the tall lamp was. A little assembly is required; just screw them together and you are good to go. I would definitely recommend them!

SO, i'm kind of stuck with this lamp. Don't get me wrong, it's cute, but it is not as cute as the picture. It's seriously HUGE and looks pretty cheap, actually.

I tried to return it, but you need to pay postage yourself. I have never had to do that before with online shopping. I didn't think TOO much about it until I took it to the post office.... $68!!!!

I guess I will learn to love this lamp because I'm not paying that much to return it.

Also, make sure to open it outside because the styrophome packing is a disaster.

Amazingly beautiful when lit with three bulbs on pull chains, this Tiffany Style lamp of gorgeous hard plastic is a very reasonably priced reproduction. You couldn't buy the glass and makings to do this lamp, let alone put together the hundreds of pieces and have it turn out this flawless. And the price to buy the stained glass version would be six times this reasonable sale price. Immediately nostalgic, I think this lamp is the epitome of cottage splendor. It certainly adds a little class to my life.

We found a good deal on this chandelier and love the simple, classic details. We use 3 60 watt bulbs in ours and it provides great lighting over our kitchen table. I believe you can use bulbs with even higher wattage per the instructions, but don't have them readily accessible to confirm that.

I was remodeling my bathrooms and chose this mirror because of the style. It looks good but the optics are not so good. Not exactly a fairground funhouse mirror, but your face (or whatever) will grow wider and narrower depending on your stance and height. At the price I would probably buy again, but that may be because this is in a guest bathroom and I never have to look at it. Silly me I thought mirrors were such old tech that you couldn't possibly screw one up, but these folks managed to.
