It's really difficult to find Tiffany lamps in these colors (much less in the hanging dragonfly pattern!) at an affordable price, making this is an incredible find! Most lamps in these colors are Mission-styled, which can be beautiful, but are generally very large and/or extremely expensive. I've always wanted a dragonfly Tiffany lamp for my bedroom, but could never find one that would match, which, IMHO, detracts from the beauty of the lamp. This is now on my bedroom dresser, which needs a medium-sized, not TOO large, lamp. The 18hx12w size is perfect, and when the lamp is on, the dragonflies seem to glow. I believe this shade/lamp style also comes in very small accent and large living room sizes, and there's a hanging shade too.

The colors are exactly as shown, and the workmanship is excellent. While I didn't get this lamp here on Amazon (finding it at a significantly lower price elsewhere at "Perfume 'n Things", but with an option for an Amazon checkout (which I used)), it came quickly and was perfectly packaged and in perfect shape. I emailed customer service once with a question, and was answered very quickly.

For me, this is the perfect lamp the right size, color, design, shape and price. I've been looking for this lamp for 20 years, lol, and I'm ecstatic to have finally found it (in case you couldn't tell), and have no qualms recommending both the lamp and the store.

I have tried ordering this lamp twice because I just love the picture. The first lamp arrived (from a different seller), but it was the wrong lamp and was completely broken. While this lamp arrived unbroken, it took about a month to get it, and the shade was dented all the way around. I have "undented" it, but it still looks creased.

My main concern with this lamp is that it really doesn't look as pictured. It's not a grayish blue as pictured, but a brighter robin's egg blue. And the shade is blue too, NOT white. The seller should update their photo of this lamp.

In all, it's okay. Just not really worth the price I paid for it. And I'm not using it in my living room, as the blue color makes it look a little too childish. It's going in the nursery.

That's what I thought when I opened the box that this came in. It is supposed to be a Christmas present,but I'm ashamed to give it. The glass in the photo must be a shot glass because the guitar is sooo small. I wasn't expecting a LARGE, expensive lamp for this price, but---come on. This doesn't even qualify as an accent lamp.

These lamps are perfect for my living room. I'm glad I read some of the reviews and found out the shades were brown not Red. The brown worked much better for me, but someone should change the description on the Shade because it is Really Brown. The price was great also.

The lamps arrived securely boxed. One lamp was scratched from where the harp was laying across it during shipping, but since I loved the lamps, I would have kept it anyway. The other lamp was defected. The harp, socket and the base were all so loose that it wouldn't stand upright. If you tried tightening it up by turning the socket, you would just be twisting the cord inside which would be a fire hazard. The base has a cloth cover on it, but I didn't want to remove it to try and fix the lamp because if I couldn't fix it, I wouldn't be able to return it with the cover off. Disappointed after finally finding something different that I really liked.

Well it is three weeks later and the seller has made good on my complaints. I contacted Amazon and they contacted the seller with my problem. The company notified me that they were willing to send me a part to fix the lamp. A part would not have helped what was wrong. After emailing them back stating that a part was not the solution, they did not hesitate to act. A replacement was sent without charge and is damage free. I now would not hesitate to use this seller again. Mistakes are always possible, but it is how a company handles those mistakes that count. Thank you caring what your customers say!!!

I was quite disappointed when my lamps arrived and the shades were not red at all. The shades are brown and if you are going to ship brown shades and not red shades then the description should reflect that information. I ordered these lamps primarily because the shades were supposed to be red. The lamps themselves are really cool and look great in my living room, but would have looked much better if the shades were the color advertised. I feel like I got ripped off and I hate that!

This Brewers lamp is hard to rate. I LOVE how it LOOKS, but the quality is just ok. It's a bit smaller than I pictured it would be. The lamp shade is connected to the base VERY poorly and after a few months the lamp shade already fell off, there is not a way to fix it, I'll have to take it in some where. So, because of the shade and having to deal with finding a place to fix it, I would have to say that I wouldn't have bought it (even though I still think it's the nicest looking one out there).

This gift for my grandson is a simple old fashioned wooden single bulb lamp. The colors are bold and the quality is good. Mine came with the shade damaged, but the seller could not provide a replacement only a refund. Too bad!

Amazon did send an email stating they would provide a refund on the item.

I purchased this little lamp for my grandson who plays for a team called the Yankees and it was a delightful addition to his room. It matches his wallpaper, bedspread, etc all Yankees stuff. It's sturdy enough for it's purpose which is a decorative piece that happens to give light.

First the good:

Small footprint

On to the bad:

The lamp has a noticeable buzzing sound when powered on

I wish the lighting given off was a bit warmer

You have to apply a generous amount of force to the power button to turn the lamp on

This final point brings me to the warranty policy and overall quality of the product. The power button broke within the first 8 months and I probably only used it 15 times. Upon closer inspection, it appears a small plastic washer had broken. Since it was still under warranty, I emailed the company and they responded relatively quickly. They told me I would have to pay a $9.90 "warranty fee" and would receive a whole new lamp (and not even the same color I had purchased). Since that is almost a 1/3 of the cost I paid for the lamp, I asked if there were any other options, specifically, if they could just send me a new plastic washer. That apparently is not an option. Needless to say, I declined their offer.

Overall, I cannot recommend this lamp due to the flimsy power button nor can I recommend purchasing from this company due to their flimsier warranty. I will be sending a copy of this review to the company and if my outcome changes, I will be sure to update this review accordingly.

I got this lamp as a gift from a friend, and it is absolutely wonderful! This light truly is "daylight" and is different from the same daylight bulbs used in other lamps. It iluminates my desk wonderfully and the flexibility is a big plus. The shade is slightly opaque, so it doesn't focus too much light on a single surface, but is just dark enough so as to prevent glarin in my eyes.

I have been using this lamp for only a few hours, so I have nothing (so far) to say about its durability, but I don't expect that to be an issue.

The only "con" I can think of is the on/off button. Because the lamp is quite cylindrical, it may be difficult to switch the lamp on and off with one hand.

This lamp is good looking and appears to be just what I had in mind. Unfortunately, the switch is not functional so I can't tell you anything else about the lamp. Another note of caution. This lamp cannot be returned to Amazon because it comes from another supplier. Amazon will issue a refund. If you opt for a UPS pickup, be aware that you can print a return authorization but you will look all day for a way to print a return label. Turns out the UPS driver brings it with him or her.

I bought this mainly because of price. I received a lamp that is almost a work of art and is also versatile and functional. It appears to be well constructed and is well weighted. The best part is being able to use it as an articulating lamp by pulling up on the shade and adjusting the light where you need it. It has a small footprint and is sitting on a small hutch on my computer desk. The included 15W fluorescent bulb provides a lot of light but lets the lamp and shade remain cool.

My only complaint is the switch which is a rectangular push button surrounded by a heavy chrome bezel. This makes it a little difficult to push and the switch requires a positive input. Not a real impediment as a pen, pencil, etc. can be used if you can't get your finger into the bezel.

It arrived quickly packed in a separate box. The product packaging was the best I have seen in some time and it would have to be thrown agains a wall to get damaged.

The antique brass is pretty, but the light itself is a very strange washed out color (not at all like the nice clear light color you get in other 'reveal' or full spectrum type bulbs. We kept it, though, because it looked nice in our room. It was functioning just fine for a couple of months, and my husband said the light was good to read by. The problem: after having this product just a couple of months, the stand seems to have broken. It no longer stays screwed securely to the base. Instead it leans over and no amount of taping or puttying by my husband can get it to stand straight again. I would not recommend this product at all.

I was pleased with the heavy weight of the lamp. Its base is very heavy. The overall finish was very good. The on/off switch is a rotary knob by the light socket. It is a couple inches long and was bent slightly on arrival, although not enough to be concerned about. I wanted to order a couple of replacement bulbs with the lamp. I called the Amazon help phone number 1-866-876-8073 which was listed on the product page. (It's no longer listed there.) The Amazon representative went to extraordinary lengths to find out what type of bulb the lamp used. The next day he called back with the information. Unfortunately the information was incorrect. When I received the lamp I found it takes a 27w screw in daylight bulb. It's listed as a TEL-27 27w 6400k 120v 60hz 310ma nondimmable bulb. The base is a standard screw in base like the old fashioned incandescent bulbs. The glass part of the bulb has several u-shaped loops of white florescent glass. The total length of the bulb is about 6.5-6.75 inches. It has a nice bright daylight light. It was brighter than I expected it to be. It is similar to the bulb listed here: (...) Amazon lists it as a 3U 27w QVC Tensor Lamp Replacement Bulb by Full Spectrum Solutions.

The bulb listed above is expensive, but it appears a normal compact florescent screw in base bulb would work.

The lamp itself is adjustable in height. The shade slides over another circular sleeve that covers the bulb base. The shade can rotate to any angle needed.

Very good lamp for your money. Comes wih a fluorescent bulb that saves electricity. You can tilt the shade how you want it using the band right next to the shade (the band doesn't heat up at all, so tilting it isn't painful, unlike some cheapo lamps) and adjust the height of the stand. When all the way up it's 51". I use it as a floor lamp next to the computer, often the only light in a dark room at night. It would also be an excellent reading lamp. Also, I like the weight (medium) and look (dull gold color with a nice antique finish, and has the style of an old-fashioned office lamp). It's a quality piece for a budget cost. We've been using it for 2 weeks without a problem and assembly was easy as pie. The only catch is that it's more of an office or study look than a living room look, but it would even work in a modern living room.

Great reading lamp, this. It assembles in a flash. Its heavy base ensures it's unlikely ever to get knocked over. Comes with a 27-watt full-spectrum bulb with an estimated 10,000-hour life. A quick turn of the screw brings the lamp down to the much lower than normal height that a reader in a low-slung lounge chair like my Le Corbusier knockoff needs; it swivels on its base and its metal shade easily angles to focus the light just where you want it. Would be a good choice for anyone who reads, studies or works in a bed or chaise. If only it had been available in black or gray metal, either of which would suit my décor far better than brass, this would have been a five-star review.

Update 12/5/2011: Re the replacement bulb problem:

The bulb that came with this lamp died in the middle of reading a whodunit a couple of nights ago. After the many comments in these reviews about the replacement bulb being offered on this page not fitting the lamp and the near impossibility of finding a replacement bulb that does fit, I was more than somewhat amazed to discover that the 13 watt GE Energy Smart spiral CFL bulbs I'd picked up at the supermarket recently to use in incandescent sockets elsewhere in the house fit this lamp perfectly and suit me just fine for reading. Then today I found a 26 watt CFL soft light mini spiral bulb from SATCO at my hardware store with a projected life of 12000 hours for under $9 that also fits this lamp and works well for reading. Several similar looking bulbs to these two are offered on Amazon, but most don't tell you if they have the "medium base" which this lamp requires, although some look as if they do.

Solid finish lamp for an incredible deal. I was looking for a floor lamp that I could use for night reading. Great light and it will be very difficult to find a lamp, of this quality, for this price. Very stable lamp. Only negative is that you may want to double check your height requirements, since it's not a super tall lamp. Again this worked very well for me.

After looking for a lamp to complete our newly furnished living room and put off by the ridiculous prices in the stores, we were a bit apprehensive about ordering a lamp off of the internet since we like to look and touch what we are buying but we had no other choice, no one in our area had this lamp. Our only disappointment was we expected a traditional three way lamp after reading the specs. The three way actually is the top light by itself, the base light by itself, and then the top and base light together. The lamp is awesome and was a perfect fit with the leather sofa, we ended up loving the unique three way, you couldn't beat the internet price and it was delivered in time to finish the room for our arriving house guests.

The lamp was just like the picture, it was very easy to put together. Its tall & well made, you do not need a 3 way bulb though, It works with a regular bulb because of the 4 way switch. Its beautiful and a great purchase.
