The lamp is gorgeous to look at, and is made very very well; however, I wasn't a fan of the light it casted. The lamp may do well in a diffrent environment, like a library or at a desk but I was looking for it to cast a warm light in my living room, but instead it was a "where were you on the night of...light". I think if the lamp shade was longer or rounded it would have cast a better light. I returned mine $50 to return via the US Postal Service because of the weight!

It's a gorgeous lamp and really adds a lot of charm to my little reading corner. The tree design is quirky and charming but not so over-the-top that it looks out of place, and actually matches pretty well with the rest of my more modern/normal furniture.

The finial (the leaf-shaped top part that screws the shade to the lamp base) did initially come with some sort of defect. The metal was really thin/weak and actually started to break apart after I tried screwing it into the lamp. I contacted Light Bulbs Etc., however, and a guy named Ryan responded immediately, getting the factory to ship a replacement finial to me in less than a week with no further questions asked. Was very pleased with the response and with this purchase overall.

I purchased one of these lamps based on the design in my bedroom wiht a large tree painting above my king size bed. As soon as I saw this lamp, I thought it would look perfect on my night stand tables. I got the lamp in and it is very well made and the lamp shade is as pictured and looks great. I liked it so much I purchased another one today before they ran out of them. Very nice lamp and the price isnt out of this world for a piece like this. The agate stones really add an unusual look to this piece and it stands out. This is something I can pass down to my kids as it is pretty durable.

The lamp was disappointing for the cost. The lines down the 4 sides of the lamp were discolored, not sure if it was suppose to be or just not painted well. I would not recommend purchasing this lamp......you could find something better for the money.

I really like these lamps and found them much cheaper here than anywhere else. They are a beautiful addition to my living room. The only problem I had with them is one of the shades had a few little brown spots where the wire meets the shade but it isn't too bad. And the harps are a bit small for the lamps to me so I just put larger harps on them and that fixed the problem. Overall they are wonderful and a great buy.

I usually don't bother with writing reviews because I usually stick to products that have already been reviewed extensively and my observations don't add much to the conversation. That being said, this product has me frustrated and there aren't many reviews yet. It arrived in the evening and I needed to use it the next morning, which is when I opened it up. It arrived in good condition in a large plastic bag inside a cardboard box. Here are my complaints:

1) The inside of the bag was completely oily and so was the entire oiler bucket, hose, and oiler nozzel. I didn't see any reason for all the oil so I was a little frustrated as I wiped it down.

2) I filled it with about 5 quarts of dark threading oil and it immediately began leaking from where the oiler hose leaves the bucket. I drained the oil and dis-assembled the hose assembly to fix the leak. I found a fairly significant barb in the hole in the sidewall of the bucket keeping the seals from doing their job. I hammered it out, put a more substantial neoprene gasket in place of the small o-ring and reassembled. Leak fixed.

3) There must still be a leak somewhere in the oiler hose or hand pump as it seems to loose its prime quickly and easily. I had to pump like crazy to get enough oil to keep my threaders cool. Also, because of the air mixed in with the oil is splatters rather than a smooth stream of oil. Hopefully it won't take too much to find the air leak and fix this problem.

I'd have saved money just buying the Ridgid oiler at double the cost and not wasted my time working on getting it functional.

Hopefully I just got a lemon and the rest are great.

I bought this as a desk lamp replacement. I wanted something cheap (I got this for around $18) and something sturdy. This was relatively cheap and looked decently rugged.

It's an okay lamp. The light is nice a bright, fluorescent with a tinge of blue it's nice light to read under. The design is attractive and its form factor is perfect for a desk, but the hinges and joints are wretched. It's incredibly hard to position into a perfect placement. The magnifying glass is reasonably powerful 2X isn't all that great. The lens also has some distortion around the perimeter resulting in a small window of clarity, and coupled with the low magnification make the lens somewhat useless. I didn't buy this lamp for the magnification but appreciated the addition; in the end, I never use it anyways.

This Dale Tiffany lamp looked great in the pictures but I wondered if I received a flawed lamp. The cord, although long enough, had an huge (4"x3") AC adapter power supply block about 8 inches from the base of the lamp. The on/off switch was then down 3 feet on the cord. Therefore, if you put the lamp on any table or dresser the big power adapter is very noticeable (the lamp itself is small and you can't hide the adapter behind it) and the on/off switch is on the floor! I wondered if this lamp was meant to be put on top of a high bookcase or dresser, where eventually I had to put it the lamp itself is quite nice. Another problem was attaching the glass "sunflowers" on the base. It took a careful hand to fit these on as the opening in the glass was such a tight fit to the lamp "stem" resulting in some small shards of glass breaking loose and some tense moments when I thought the glass would break in my hand. One sunflower didn't fit at all until some help with pliers and a small screwdriver to fix a flaw on the "stem". In the end I got it assembled without any major breaks which I was grateful for because this lamp (which I got at a great reduced price) was a non-returnable item (not purchased from Amazon). I have quite a few Dale Tiffany lamps in my house and this is the first one I am a bit disappointed with.

I bought these to try in a bathroom where the color is important for those who apply makeup.

These worked out fine in terms of light output with just one minor operational annoyance....they take about 1 second to come on, this does not sound like much, but if they were the only light in the area it might be disconcerting (you throw the switch and the light does not come on instantly). I have three compact Florescent fittings in the bathroom which themselves do take time to strike, but it's only a hundred milliseconds or so. The effect is that you throw the switch and the general light comes on, and then there is a perceptible delay till the down lights come on.

I assume the delay on start is tied to the fact they cannot be dimmed, so consider them great value where instant start or dimming are not required.

The lamp was just like the picture, it was very easy to put together. Its tall & well made, you do not need a 3 way bulb though, It works with a regular bulb because of the 4 way switch. Its beautiful and a great purchase.

I just received my lamp. It came really quickly, which is a good thing. I love the lamp, it is very beautiful, BUT it is not as pictured. the colors are WAY off. there is no purple as pictured at all, and only 2 small panels contain any blue. Most of the color is a shade of burgandy/red, yellows and orange, and browns. I put it together easily, but I am way disappointed that my lamp is not blue and purple as shown.

I otdered this lamp based on the pic. & the first reviews description. The lamp DID arrive exactly on the day scheduled, but was completely wrong, cobalt blue and white. I called Amazon and they apologized, and sent another lamp while I was on the phone. When I went to pack the thing for return,a lbroken panel sliced open my hand,,, hot mess,, I called Amazon again to tell them it would not be comeibg back and why,,, they were GREAT about it. I purchased this item because my bedroom has a blue theme, with art featuring the color blue, and shades of blue in my linens. I thought it might be nice to add a blue lamp, and even though Tiffany style isn't exactly "me" it's close enough. (I'm more Art Deco than Art Nouveau.) As others have noted the shade is not glass. I guess it's a type of resin? Or plastic, with swirly, irregular paint. I am not the best at describing the effect, each slice of "glass" has an irregular coloration, it is not a slab of one color plastic. There are shades of indigo, violet, and a bit of green and yellow. The base is brown with distressing touches in a more sienna tone.

Overall, I am pleased with this lamp. I wasn't sure what to expect, especially since it's not my style, but I would definitely purchase another lamp, either a torchiere or a butterfly lamp. It might not be authentic glass or super high-end, but it's nice.

The lamp I received looked exactly like the one pictured. It has a beautiful blue shade as shown in the picture. The description, however, is inaccurate in two respects. The shade is not stained glass. It appears to be an acrylic material. I don't see this as a negative, just mentioning it in the interest of accuracy. The material it's made of is as attractive as glass and far more rugged. I have a similar lamp that the shade IS made of stained glass and I've had to replace one of the panes that got broken. Not an easy task to match the glass locally. That won't happen with this shade. Also, the lamp stands a full 23" high, not 19" as is described. It was easy to assemble and looks really good using a couple of 15 watt lightbulbs.

This lighted magnifier is smaller that it appears in the picture. It will do just fine for my uses, and the price was certainly reasonable. Comes with batteries, so you can use it immediately. There are small LED lights that help quite a bit, and the only reason I'm giving it three stars is 1) the instructions fail to explain how to use the clamp attachment; and 2) The magnifier is plastic. Wish it were a true magnifying glass.

Having very little free space on my desk I was worried that I would have no where to put a much needed magnifying lens. The bending arm on this model snaps into the base for a sturdy table top version, but I wanted to use the clamp. The trick here is to first remove the snapping piece (unscrew it by hand) from the arm. Then open the clamp piece wide. Using a screw driver, turn the head of the screw and it will extended outward from clamp. (This was not explained in the picture instructions) Use these extended threads to screw on the bendable arm. I was able to clamp this magnifier to my paper stand and it works very well. Unfortunately it wouldn't fit on my computer monitor. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

I've had this a few months now and it's working perfectly. I have it hung on the underside of my porch roof so it's not directly exposed to the weather and I honestly don't think I would recommend it for places where it will get rained / snowed on. I'm sure it will be able to handle the ambient moisture / cold / heat from being outside but I don't think it would last long if you plan on mounting it directly in the elements at least not unless you do some slight modifications to it like using caulk or silicone over the seams. The motion sensor function works great it only comes on when it's dark and the sensitivity is perfect. Once it detects no motion for approx 10 to 15 seconds it goes right back out again. The light is very adequate for shining on a door so you can see the keyhole or find your way in a dark area.

UPDATE 9/17/2010: I wanted to add a couple of notes now that I have been using this light for six months. I had initially given this 5 stars but had to knock off a couple of stars due to some serious issues with the light. The light began staying on all night long when there was no motion occasionally going off for a second and then coming back on again. Since it had been six months since I installed the light and the light was getting a bit dim I assumed that maybe it was because the batteries were dying. When I opened the door to replace the batteries white water poured out the water was white due to the moisture inside the light corroding the batteries and they were leaking a lot of acid. It actually burned a little and the batteries were in such bad shape I'm surprised they were even able to turn the light on. As I mentioned above, my light is not exposed to any direct moisture at all it's hung on my porch roof which has an eave that extends down one foot from the roof line and the light is mounted in the corner. No matter how hard it rains the light would never be able to get hit by water so apparently the ambient humidity is getting into the light and condensing inside. I was able to get the light working again by leaving the battery door off and letting the insides dry (inside the house) for a week I think the water was causing the circuit board inside to short out. Before I put the batteries back in I sealed all around the lens and all the seams with silicone sealant. After I put the batteries in I sealed the battery door shut with Dap 18324 Seal 'N Peel Removable Caulk, 10.1-Ounce so hopefully that will keep moisture from entering. It really is a nice light and it's a shame the manufacturer didn't put a little more effort into making this more weather resistant. If you plan on using this outside at all I would recommend that you seal it up good first unless you live in a desert. As I mentioned the battery life is roughly six months, which is decent, but I think I expected more since it runs on 4 C cell batteries. Then again, maybe they would have lasted longer if they weren't soaked in water.

UPDATE 9/15/2012: I haven't had any further issues with the light since sealing all the seams with silicone sealant and "Seal N' Peel" (so I can get the battery door off in the future without too much of a fight). I haven't had to replace the batteries since sealing it in 9/2010 so the batteries will last a very long time as long as moisture doesn't find its way inside. Hopefully on future revisions the manufacturer will make the few small adjustments needed to make the light moisture proof.

Just added this to the bottom of our apartment's formerly unsafe and dark stairway. Powered by the 4 size C batteries, my only worry was whether this would sufficiently illuminate the section (the reason I ruled out a solar powered unit; these tend to put out as much light as a birthday candle). Initially tested the unit indoors and I was pleasantly surprised to see the LEDs put out a great deal of light...enough to read by. Installation is a breeze, the motion sensor is sensitive enough to turn on from about 6-8' away, and hopefully the light lives up to the 6-12 month battery replacement claims. Only negative is not specific to this unit, but of LED lighting technology: the lights are so cold blue, it sometimes looks like a new car headlight is shining downward. Wonder why manufacturers do not include a slightly warm-tinted clear film to alter the light's colour a bit. But overall, think this is a perfect renter's choice in adding some safety lighting outdoors.

We park on the side of the house where there is no light so I started looking for an outside light that would be easy to install and wireless. The first night it was up I thought this has to be a bad unit since it didn't turn on when I drove up. Once I turned my headlights off and got out of the car it lit up and provides adequate lighting. The function of it only turning on in the dark was battery saving plus for me. I was afraid with the dog running by it all day we'd be buying a lot of batteries but it only turns on with a combination of darkness and motion. It's been outside on a pole without shelter since February and works great.

This detector does an amazing job for lighting small areas (25 sq ft). Its bigger than the photo would indicate (almost 6"x6"x6"). The 4 batteries fit in the sphere itself not the base. I mounted 1 outside above the doors of our shed and 1 inside the shed at a height of about 6'. The one side picks up a person about 5' away. Provides excellent light for about 25 sq ft with dimmer lighting for about 100 sq ft. Quality is fine for a sub $30 detector. Just installed so I have no idea how long the batteries will last.

Con: no sensetivity setting on motion detector. Not an issue in my case but some may want more/less then the pre-set.
