This lamp has a very nice mechanical hipster chic look, almost imagine it could be found in a Manhattan warehouse flat with a higher pricetag. The springs that attach, 4 of them, don't secure very well if you have any pets I would be especially careful. Note that this lamp is pretty large, the lampshade is about the size of a medium-sized fixture, and it stands more than 6' tall, very nice piece to have craned over a desk or reading chair.

this is now on my nightstand for a reading lamp. it looks great has a lovely amount of lightas the dome cover over the bulb makes it perfect for reading without waking up my husband who is a light sleeper. it is definately an insomniac nerds newest friend

This lamp is the perfect size. I ordered it for my granddaughter's bedroom that we decorated with zebra print. It is a great lamp for the price.

I think its an acceptable replica of the original from 1962. Too bad that the instructions are less then complete, so be prepared to spend a little time before the lamp is finally assembled.

I read all of the reviews, and I mean ALL, and was super confused about the product. The product description seemed to be everything I was looking for, but the reviews were so mixed, I didn't know what to do. In the end, I thought to myself that i would order them and if they weren't for me, I would just return them. Thankfully, I didn't have to! They are exactly what I was looking for. My purpose for them: under the cabinet lighting without cumbersome and ugly wiring. They are bright enough to prepare food under. They have thre settings, bright, dim, off. They do not blind the kids looking up at them from another angle. They actually look sleek and modern. The lights don't have that dreaded blue tinge as Christmas LED lights have. Some people have complained that the batteries don't last long, but I'm not sure what they are using them for and for how long. I use them about 3 or 4 times a day for 10 minute stretches, and after a week, they are still going strong. They have 2 ways to mount them. With screws or with Velcro. I opted for the Velcro. Whatever method you use, the lights are easy to dismount in order to get to the battery compartment and change them. If I were to use these more often and had to change tons of batteries (6 AAA batteries) I would probably just get a battery charger and 12 rechargeable batteries in order not to be wasteful. All in all, I would absolutely, undoubtedly, without hesitation recommend these for daily under-cabinet lighting. Just as with everything, don't forget to turn them off when you are done!

This lamp came in, I set it up and am very pleased. In fact this lamp is beyond my expectations! Philips products, as usual, are unparalleled in quality. This lamp is well made and the finished alluminum base is well finished and sturdy. The glass is excellent and heavy and the fabric on the shade is fantastic. Great accent light and with Philips lamps emits a soothing plesant light. Premium lamp, thanks Philips and Amazon!
