Ordered 2 for end tables by couch. They are well constructed and quite attractive. The wood base is substantial but the open design keeps them from overwhelming the room. Stained glass shade is gorgeous -colors are warm, design is clean. I love the pull chains -easy to turn on and off, and you can turn on just one bulb or both. 2 -60W bulbs per lamp is plenty of light for the living room.

The only problem we've experienced is that the bulbs are level with the bottom edge of the shade so if the lamp is higher than your seating area next to it, the bulbs shine directly into your eyes. The bottom edge of the shade is 17 1/2 inches above the table top if you want to measure before you buy.

These lamps are absolutely gorgeous! The pictures don't do them justice!

I've been looking for some Mission-style lamps to complete my new Mission-style bedroom suite. I looked around at the furniture stores, the major department stores, and the major home improvement stores and didn't find what I wanted.

These lamps are very well made. The shades are made of individual resin pieces that fit together very well. When lit from behind, the shades just glow beautifully in warm earth-tones.

The bases are very nice, too. They're well made and solid. I was very impressed. I especially like the open design.

I bought a pair of these. They are very nice for the price. They are designed to work with the new energy saving light bulbs. Minimal assembly required, but no tools are needed(just screw in a threaded post that supports the shade). A good value.

This is extremely well made: weighty, with the acrylic top diffuser and very good even lighting. Although it looks top heavy with its small base and narrow stem, it's very stable.

A possible concern that will only become apparent after some usage is the white plastic inner liner. I owned an infrequently used lamp (by a different company) that had the same hard plastic liner. It became brittle and crumbled after a year, even using lower wattage than recommended. Plastic quality varies so much that I'm perhaps needlessly worried, but it did lower my rating.

When the lamp is on, it "shows" as black circles on white which doesn't fit my dream of the perfect lamp for my decor. Would have preferred a silver or fine aluminum mesh liner that kept a more uniform metal appearance.

From a purely design perspective, I feel the large shade overpowers the stem and base not in sync as a whole. Picky, picky.

In all, it's almost 5 star for quality and 3 star for my personal taste.

I bought this mod lamp as a companion to it's matching floor lamp. Yes, yes, that's a little "matchy-matchy", but like it's floor lamp partner this is such a heavy, sleek lamp that it was irresistible. I looked at lamps of similar size, heft and style at a swanky brick & mortar store for literally 4 times the price. This one arrived in two days and I assembled it myself in 10 minutes. It throws a lot of light downward, perfect for reading, and can be adjusted to shine one or both of the included CFL bulbs. I was concerned that light would be annoying through the decorative holes in the shade, but this is not case. The holes "glow", but light is not cast through them. Do be aware that this is a large lamp, so make sure your space can handle it. This is a fantastic lamp.

My wife purchased this lamp from a store near our apartment and it looks great. Quite heavy and feels well constructed. The pull chains work smoothly and the frosted glass at the top of the lamp diffuses the light while keeping the bulbs from being in plain view. The metal pattern over the shade is well done with no imperfections that I could see. We have two CFL bulbs in the lamp now, but I believe it would work with standard bulbs also. All in all, a very nice table lamp for this price. Amazon also offers this same style in a floor lamp and a ceiling chandelier, so we may purchase more lamps with this design.

I purchased two of these for my daughter's 7th birthday party. She loves them however one of them wasn't working properly right out of the box it was making a grinding noise. The fix was very simple, so anyone that has had the same problem, here is what you have to do: Unplug the lamp, make a mark on both halves before separating them, this will make putting the two halves back together easy, take the globe and the bulb off turn the base upside down and remove the 3 screws, pull the two halves apart. You will see that the rotating is controlled by the small motor with a gear on it, the motor and gear are adjustable, just loosen the screw and you can move the entire motor and gear closer to the center gear, tighten the screw back up and the problem is fixed. I also cleaned up and put a little grease on the gears. Reassemble the unit in reverse; make sure to align the marks you made earlier.

One other thing I did while I had it apart was make it so the lamp can be hung upside down. If you look at the base, there are 3 little "feet" there that are open to the inside of the lamp. I just took 3 equal length pieces of heavy string and tied knots on the end and ran them from the inside out. You have to make sure the knot is big enough so that it doesn't pull through the hole. On the outside I tied the 3 pieces together, making sure they stayed the same length. Now you can just hang the lamp upside down from a hook or something on the ceiling or it can still be used on a table top.

Really very, very fun and it works great. Actually I bought this on behalf of my stepdaughter to give to her dad, my husband. We got an Xbox Kinect system and a dance game and thought it would be fun to add in some disco lighting for when we play it.

It exceeds all our expectations and we highly recommend it. It's not just for teenagers, it's fine for anyone who just wants a disco effect.

Motor is completely silent too, a concern I read in other reviews of other disco lights.

I purchased three of these and was delighted to see how nice they look (much better than the picture on amazon). I ordered in November 2011, and the lamp came with a MLB logo on two opposing sides and "Detroit Tigers" with the Detroit D underneath on the other two sides.

I changed the three lamps into pendant lights over the bar in the basement that I just put in using "mini pendant light kits" from lowes.

Pretty shade but its' size was wrong for us. It is quite wide, but short, in relation to its diameter. It requires, in my opinion, a large lamp with a wide, shorter base. I think its an acceptable replica of the original from 1962. Too bad that the instructions are less then complete, so be prepared to spend a little time before the lamp is finally assembled.

The quality appears to be alright.The marble block is really heavy, the way it should be. I am a 6'4" man at 210#, and I am able to carry that block on my own. A little tiny woman will have no chance to move that thing a single inch. So make sure help is available.

Just received the Arco floor lamp by Baxton Studio. Promptly and well-packaged in 3 separate boxes.

Everything intact, looks great but could not find the assembly instructions even after destroying all the packaging to find them. So I called Amazon.com help line and was rapidly given the contact number for the manufacturer/distributor. I dialed and after a step or two spoke with Gina who suggested she email me the instructions which I of course agreed to receive. Within a minute, got the intstructions, printed them and assembled the lamp in literally 9 minutes. Works great, looks great, very stable (the white marble block is clearly over 100 lbs) and exactly what I was looking forward to installing in the room chosen. Terrific value very happy customer. Having grown up with an original in my house, I could tell as soon as I looked at the arced pole that this was a less-than-faithful reproduction. The most noticeable difference is that the arc is rounded on this one, with screw-in attachments, whereas on the original is is in more pieces, squared and generally more graceful-looking. This one's a little wonky. But it's nice-looking enough and I can't complain about having the extra $2,300.00 in my pocket.

The marble block, however, is very true to the original. And it is much heavier than Amazon says! It's well over 100 lbs -I can lift 75, this is not 75. I had taken umbrage at the "tiny little woman" comment above --I lift weights!-but I concede the point! : ) Fortunately, that hole in the middle is functional --it was made to put a pole through it so that two people can carry the marble. So, disassemble the box right inside your door and grab a strong pole and a partner to move the block.

One annoying thing is that the bolt that attaches the pole to the marble is so long that you can see it sticking out --quite a bit-through the hole in the marble once the lamp is assembled. Fortunately, this is obscured by the fact that it's low. Not something people are going to notice immediately when walking into the room. But I'm hoping I can find a shorter screw to replace the one that comes with the lamp to get rid of this issue.

Bottom line, if you're looking to save money, it's a nice enough lamp. But if you're looking to fool people, don't get this reproduction. It's well made enough, but it's different.

Even though not a real thing, the lamp looks great! Photos don't really show how good looking it is.

The base is very heavy and comes in a wooden enclosure. I felt sorry for FedEx guy who had to drag it alone from the truck. I used my colleague's help to get it in the apartment very heavy! After that, though, I was assembling it myself. Assembly is a bit tricky, but manageable; lamp comes with a short instruction. If you have carpet floors, so you can push/drag the base around, you can assemble it alone. Read the manual first though: the shade is the first thing to put on save yourself a trouble!

The lamp is high, but I was able to squeeze it under 8' ceilings and still have a couple of inches left, so 8' is enough. The higher the better, of course.

Overall: 5 stars.

This is a really nice looking unit but screws were missing from the fixture, I found them in the bag it was packaged in. There is no instalation instructions as to how to use hardware sent with the unit. The socket where the power cable comes out is loose with no way to tighten it that i can see. Guess i will have to do my best to fix it. Overall a nice looking unit though.

The color of the "stones" is different than the picture; mine has a green hue to it. I'm sure the color varies on each one. However, it is adorable and still works with the decor.
