This is the most gorgeous tiffany lamp I have ever seen. It has been advertised to have 2 bulb slots, but it actually has 3. It is beautiful even when unlit, but when lighted it is spectacular, and very large. The cabochons on this lamp look like jewels. It is the most beautiful lamp I've ever seen. It is very solid, and very well made. It's just gorgeous!!!

Absolutely love this lamp. I took it to work and it brightens my world.

The base is surprisingly large and really does hold scissors, pens, post-its, paperclips.

The two prong electric outlet is SO handy. Of course, where do they put all the electric outlets in a cubicle? Under the desk, where you have to crawl around in the dust to get to an outlet. This is perfect~ I can plug my small desk fan in or use it to charge my iPhone.

Brightens my world. Wish there were more colors. This really a great price for an excellent product, well thought out and designed for multiple uses, whether at home with makeup, nailpolish, etc, sewing excessories, you name it, it will work.

I was looking for a simple lamp for my night stand that would make it obvious that side of the room is MINE. So when I saw they had one in pink, AND that it had an outlet, I ordered it.

PROS:

Organizing compartments for pens, nail files, scissors, etc (it rotates so you can have your favorite compartment on whichever side you prefer)

You don't lose an outlet because it has one right on it

Cord has nice length

Girly color

CONS: none

I can imagine people thinking, "why does the outlet only have 2 slots?" and I can't say for sure, but I have the feeling it is a safety feature. You wouldn't want to plug in a big appliance through the lamp (cause then you would be bypassing the built-in safety provided by the in-wall outlet). In my case, I bought it thinking I could charge my phone, and that's exactly what I'm doing so, awesome!

Would buy another one if I they had it in a not-so-girly color as well.

Overall a nice lamp for the money, but the picture is a little deceiving. The colors are not accurate. I was expecting a maroon/gold lamp and it's actually brown/olive green. Dark brown. When the lamp is off, it's quite dark (almost black). Lit, it's just fine.

Well, I wish the photo for this item did not look so good, as the lamp in real life

it was a little bigger than thought to be, it takes up a big part of the table at shade height. base and glass are beautiful but hardware to put together is of poor quality and if not tightened properly will lean bad to the side and be wobbly. i had to take it apart after a few attempts and solder the nut to the bottom side so i could crank down on top acorn nut to secure to my liking. for $140 i would like to have seen something more than two 1/8" threaded rods with a nut on the bottom side and acorn nuts on top to hold it together

I ordered the lam pin based on the picture. The lamp I received is yellow and brown, there is no red anywhere in it. Out of the box, it smells bad, sort of like used motor oil. The "leading" is uneven and looks broken in places. The little light bulb for the base was broken during delivery. If I was this lamp in a store, I might have paid $20 for it. This is not the quality or color that I expected. I am not happy with this purchase.

If you are looking for a small light, this one is great. I use it at night to read by instead of the little book lights that tend to not give out much light and batteries run down quickly. This is also good to use when sitting outside.

I ordered this lamp hoping the color in the picture was true to form. It was. My piano is made of dark rosewood and this lamp blends in with it like it was made for it. The lamp is tall enough to be able to fit above the sheet music or books and still be able to adjust so that the light doesn't hit my eyes when I'm playing. It is a gorgoeus lamp and practical. The lamp's width allows it to have two lightbulbs that give out enough light to read my music without being harsh. Also the added width allows for the light to shine on both pages of a book, a real plus. I put in two 25 watt ornamental bulbs and they are the perfect amount of light. Love the lamp. It is a lovely lamp, but it's appearance is only surpassed by its functionality. A good buy.

The lamp I received is probably a product previously returned by another customer. It's defective. One of the lamp sockets does not work. The inside of the defective socket appears to have burnt-out mark, such as wire burnt-out. I tried anyway, using light bulbs that were proven working on the defective socket, and of course, did not light up. The merchant should have taken the time to examine their product before shipping to an unsuspecting cumstmer! I am returning this good-for-nothing thing.

These 2 lamps came as a pair for a very low price. I was quite skeptical but they looked like the exact color of blue I needed for our living room. I was not expecting the shades to be nice, they did look cheap in the picture. When the lamps came I was very surprised! They are a nice, heavy lamp and a really good qaulity. I think the shade is perfect for them and I did not change the shade. Our interior designer came by and he loved them too! I am a big fan of 3 way lamps which are getting hard to find. These are 3 way and the cord is super long so they can really be placed anywhere in the room. These are the best lamps I have ever bought for the money and totally recommend them.

I read a previous good review and although I wasn't sure if the color would be as blue as I wished, I took the chance and bought these because after an exhaustive search for "just the right" lamps....I just wanted to give up!!!.... I was going for a rustic informal feeling in my lake house.....I mostly couldn't make myself pay the high price of most lamps I found searching all over the internet...Resigned, I bought these because the price was right... They arrived packaged perfectly. No broken or missing parts. I truly didn't expect to be soooo happy!!!! The lamps are very substantial in weight. I have never had a lamp with an oval shade. It does have a seam but it isn't really noticeable and I like it....Since I was pairing with a denim comforter, the color, as I suspected, was more of a blue/ green than I had hoped, but they worked beautifully because the same thing was true with the curtains/drapes I found (also on amazon)... If you like, go see my choice for the windows by plugging in " RLF HOME Duncaster " in blue plaid. They too were blue greenish....A designer couldn't have done better! My luck this time! I'm way too cheap to use a professional. And even though sometimes it is hard to make a choice, I really do enjoy doing it myself. I can't wait to show this room off to my next overnight guest. Price was half or even better than that from all others that might be considered equal. Hope this helps in your search.

The lamps came in and look very good. We love the style, color, feel etc. They are bigger than what we imagined but that just is what it is so to speak. One big issue is that one of our lamps has a faulty "Harp" so we cannot put the lamp shade on and therefore we cant use it. So we will see how Amazon / the manufacturer handle this. I certainly dont want to repack two lamps and return them both and wait on new ones for a $5 part (if that is what it takes). Hopefully they will send a new part or else I'll have to go buy one at the local lamp store an spend more $$...

I ordered these lamps which seemed like a great price. When they arrived, the packaging was damaged and so were the lamps. The shades were in good condition but both lamps were damaged. The packaging was poor quality which contributed to the damage. The cardboard was torn and the Styrofoam was broken in pieces. There was torn cardboard around the lamps and newspaper around the finials. There was very little protection around the lamps. FedEx delivered the lamps and noted that the packaging was damaged.

I would love these lamps in my house but I do not trust the packaging. Broken lamps are not a great deal.

We purchased these lamps to go in our new home's living room which has a kind of distressed, ocean theme. It was kind of difficult to tell what they would really look like in person, however when they arrived I was quite impressed. They are of good quality and I like the distressed look. And you can't beat the price! I'm not particularly fond of the oval shape of the lamp shades so I will probably replace them at some point when I come across some inexpensive replacements. However, they are not bad. I would definitely purchase these again.

This decoration is well made and will last for many years. The pattern is very pleasing and it nicely twinkles, no strobing effect thank goodness, because it gives off enough light to guide a landing plane. The LED's in this give off a BRIGHT blue-white light. It's a matter of taste, I would have preferred the light to be more glowing (yellowish), but hey, it is a snowflake, so there is good case to be made for the color. Our friends like it a lot, so maybe I'm just too picky. Item arrived promptly and was well packed. We used it on the inside of our front bay window and hung it with suction cups that handled the weight easily.

This lamp is very pretty, and the light is beautiful. I can finally see colors the way they are supposed to look. Everything always has a yellow cast indoors. The one thing that needs to be improved upon, though, is the on/off button. It is very hard to press, especially for someone with limited hand strength. A simple rocker switch, or a wheel on the cord, would make all the difference. If it weren't for that one issue, this lamp would be worth 5 stars.

Bought two initially and liked them so much that I ended up ordering four more. Good quality, but a bit pricey (hence 4 stars instead of 5). They rotate through the colors nicely. Not particularly bright, best used as mood lighting. We use them as mood lighting on an apartment balcony railing.

We got these to use as night lights in my son's room. I took a chance on these and I'm really glad I did. These little lights would be best used for ambient light or a night light/emergency light. They don't give off a lot of light, but I feel it's at least equivalent to a standard nightlight you'd plug into a wall socket. The instructions that come with it are rather poor, pictures with no words, so it took a little time to figure out what you do to turn it off (turn it sideways so it's just past parallel with the floor until it turns off, a few seconds, and then bring it upright) and what you do to change colors (turn it sideways and bring it back to upright). There's something in it that you can hear sliding when you do this. I've had absolutely no problems with these little guys holding a charge. They last at least 10 hours, getting dimmer only in the last few hours of battery life. According to the instructions, either the white light or colored light holds a charge longer, but I don't remember which as we use the green light at night while my son sleeps and the white light in the morning when we change his diaper before his morning feeding. To charge simply place them on the charging plate and push the little LED button. It will turn on while charing and off when charging is complete. I charge them during the day while we're at work since it takes hours to recharge. I alternate which one I use every night so they get used evenly. My favorite feature is that these are waterproof (the lanterns not the charging base), so they'll be good for little kids if they have to use the bathroom at night or if the power goes out just when you need to get a shower. I had the power go out on me just when I was finishing up getting ready for work, so I grabbed one of these. I accidentally knocked it into the sink while I was brushing my teeth. No harm done!

I rarely write reviews but I am so pleased with my purchase that I had to write. The lamp is sleek, modern, with clean lines and a cork-textured shade. It's elegant but also robust and modern enough for livelier settings. Unlike the previous lamp I order (and sent back) this lamp works well with the energy saver bulbs. I especially like that the lamp uses two bulbs and that there is one hanging light switch for each bulb; this way you have the choice of having one or both bulbs illuminated. If I had paid more for this lamp I still would feel I made an amazing purchase.

If you do not wish to cut your lamp cord, you may wish to consider this:

Lutron TT-300H-WH Electronics Plug-In Lamp Dimmer, White

It is basically exactly the same thing, but you plug your lamp into it and plug it into the wall, as opposed to splicing the cord-modifying version (above) onto the existing lamp cord.

If you ever may want to use the device with a different lamp, the plug in version would be easier as you would not have to unsplice the device from the existing lamp cord, and then repair or replace the existing lamp cord.

What they consider the nightlight, if you go to their website, is the single red led on the front by the slider. It is a light so you can find the dimmer at night. Hence, nightlight.

Yes, you have to cut the lamp cord, but you don't have to strip the wires or do anything other than use a pair of scissors (after unplugging!) to snip the cord, push the ends of the cord into either side of the dimmer, and press down the plungers that grab the cord and automatically make the electrical connection for you. It took less than a minute to install, it feels safe, solid, and secure, and it works great.

This is very easy to install.... Only thing you'll have trouble with is the thick plastic packaging it comes in. I hope to find this dimmer in brown so I can apply it to more lamps.

Simply choose the spot on your cord you want the dimmer, make a straight cut across the lamp cord (no diagonal cuts), push your cut-cord into the dimmer device until it won't go in any further, push the dimmer-tab all the way in until it's flat (level) with the dimmer-back..... Do the same with the other end of the cord.... You'll see 2 tabs on the back of the dimmer that flop around....these tabs obviously have prongs on the other end of them (inside the dimmer casing ) ...these prongs/teeth are what you'll push into the plastic protective casing on your cord-ends. You'll feel it piercing through your cord.... Just keep pushing until the tabs are flat against the back of the dimmer.... This let's you know the prongs/teeth have pierced through far enough to make contact....

Plug the lamp in and give it a try!

You did know to UNPLUG THE LAMP FIRST BEFORE YOU CUT THE CORD .... Didn't you? !!

I bought this light to replace a fixture near my back door. The kids play basketball there and I have had issues with the fixture being damaged in the past, not to mention a constant hassle of changing bulbs.

The first fixture showed up at my door with no aparent signs of damage on the packaging but once I opened it I found the metal cover over the glass was broken and the quality of the fixture seemed mediocre at best. (get what ya pay for right?) I had no trouble returning the damaged one and it was replaced promptly with one that had no damage upon arrival. This fixture seemed smaller than I expected it would be and although not a high end light it does what I need it to do. So far ( crossing my fingers ) the kids have yet to damage it or even cause the bulb to go out. Not a bad looking light fixture but as I mentioned , rather small. I think it would be more suitable to a small area or paired with other fixtures than as the only source of light in a larger one.

All in all , for the price I paid and the purpose I purchased this fixture for it is sufficient. I'll call that a success.

This isn't the highest quality fixture out there. It does however get the job done. The cover is made of surprisingly thick glass which seems pretty sturdy. The metal cover is also sturdy and has a nice paint job. I recently installed two of these and just ordered one more. They have been working just fine. The frosted glass gives a nice even light and the hood prevents wasting a bunch of light up into the sky.

My only complaint is the flimsy, cheap feeling hardware. If the screws and mounting hardware were better, I'd give it 5 stars.
