wouldn't think that this would magnify objects close enough to get the job done but it exceeded my expectations. The flexible gooseneck can be clamped down to a surface or mounted
on a weighted base that can be moved around either way you will love this!! A smaller magnifier window is also available for even closer magnification when more detail is needed.
A very good price and well worth the wait (which wasn't long at all) in my experience.

I've only had this magnifier a short time but it is perfect for my needs. The base is heavy so it doesn't fall over. Great light and easy to turn off and on. Comes with a felt bag to protect the lens.

This lighted magnifier is smaller that it appears in the picture. It will do just fine for my uses, and the price was certainly reasonable. Comes with batteries, so you can use it immediately. There are small LED lights that help quite a bit, and the only reason I'm giving it three stars is 1) the instructions fail to explain how to use the clamp attachment; and 2) The magnifier is plastic. Wish it were a true magnifying glass.

Having very little free space on my desk I was worried that I would have no where to put a much needed magnifying lens. The bending arm on this model snaps into the base for a sturdy table top version, but I wanted to use the clamp. The trick here is to first remove the snapping piece (unscrew it by hand) from the arm. Then open the clamp piece wide. Using a screw driver, turn the head of the screw and it will extended outward from clamp. (This was not explained in the picture instructions) Use these extended threads to screw on the bendable arm. I was able to clamp this magnifier to my paper stand and it works very well. Unfortunately it wouldn't fit on my computer monitor. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.
