This was a super cute lamp... until one day I set a metal necklace on the lamp base (it was plugged in but not turned on) connecting the two telescoping ends, connecting some sort of circuit and the lamp started to catch on fire! the base was smoking noxious burning plastic smoke.

I had bought two of these lamps (different batch numbers) and they both spark and start to catch on fire when you connect the two telescoping ends with anything metal. Yeah, the scientist in me wanted to see if it was reproducible.

DO NOT GET THIS LAMP!! I have reported it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the report is posted and searchable on their website.

I bought this lamp to read late at night without disturbing my sleeping spouse. This little lamp casts just enough concentrated light to read, and without the flickering that some earlier "booklights" produced. It works great and takes up very little space on my nightstand.

I bought this for its sleek look. Bad decision. I should have researched a bit more.

Opening the package, I noticed it's a lot smaller than I had thought. Assembly took almost no time, after switching it on --alas --what a big let down. Despite the number of LEDs, the light is still dim, and the area it lightens on the desk is barely able to cover a piece of letter sized paper, even when it's fully extended.

I would give it a one star for I really can't think of any use how to salvage this $30 purchase.

I bought this so I could see my keyboard without putting the main lights on and getting reflections and glare off my screen. Ideal, although another couple of inches of height would be nice. Enough light too to give a pool of light just big enough to read by, without dazzle.

If you want to light up the whole work surface though, this isn't it.

First I have to say this is a BEAUTIFUL and unique lamp. I bought 2 for my bedroom. It takes regular light bulbs (which I wasn't sure of based on the description, and the fact that they are not made in the USA). The 2 issues I have are with the quality. You have to assemble this lamp. There is a frame that sits inside the shade that the crystals hang from. 2 of the predrilled holes weren't drilled through so I had to get someone to drill them through for me. After breaking 2 bits, he finally got through. There are 5 different styles of strands of crystals that alternate around. One of the strand types (with a rectangle crystal on the end)had a hole drilled through at the bottom. It looks like there is supposed to be another crystal attached, but there isn't. It was like this on both lamps, so I don't know if that's the way it's supposed to be or not. Anyway, I am keeping the lamps, because the price I paid on here was really inexpensive and unless you are inspecting the lamps close up you don't notice the tiny drill holes.

It looks great in the picture! It is 100% plastic! I have never felt so ripped off. The lamp also came coated with a thick layer of oil that took an hour to clean, and it still smelled.

This is my 4th Quoizel lamp. Obviously I'm attracted to what they produce. I wish I could enthusiastically endorse them. My first purchase was the Glenhaven Table Lamp. It is beautiful, and I love it. I have had it a few years, and perhaps the company standards have slipped since then.

Next I purchased two "matching" lamps, but the finish differs on the two lamps.

Now regarding this Indus Tiffany lamp, the heavy glass shade arrived coated with heavy, dirty, stinky oil. I emailed Quoizel and they casually replied that someone must have forgotten to clean it, adding that I should wash it. Silly me, I thought I'd bought a finished product. Incidentally, it is very large, heavy, and breakable. You can't fit it into the kitchen sink, then scrub and rinse.

Additionally there was no information included with the lamp about how to clean it (is soap and water safe; is glass cleaner safe?), or information regarding the wattage limit. It wouldn't take much for Quoizel to increase their standards but they obviously don't care.

I agree with another reviewer about the Indus Tiffany, the lamp looks better in the photo. What Quoizel describes as "an embroidery pattern around the border" is obviously plastic when seen in person. Seen from a distance it is an attractive lamp, but not as good as the photo.

Just got my lamp and it came packaged well without any damage. I was a little scared after I read some of the reviews with oily glass and plastic parts. I was happy to find although there was some oily residue on the glass it wiped off easy with windex glass cleaner. The base is made of metal and very sturdy and easy to assemble. It gives off good lighting but not enough to do much reading. The light is a nice warm glow perfect for my bedroom. The shade itself is as shown in the picture and although it is not rugged it is not cheap either. It is not as sturdy as my other tiffany lamp or as heavy. All things put together it is a little pricy for what you get but a nice item.

The item description states it is a stained glass lamp shade. Completely false! The lamp shade was made of cheap plastic and the design was slightly different than shown in the picture. Buyer beware! On a side note, Amazon has been very cooperative and helpful with initiating the return process.

Overall, the quality is excellent. The only criticism is that more care should be given to both Nova and Amazon in the package it was shipped. Nova uses staple to close the box, almost tearing through and damaging the shade. It was just luck that it was not damaged. I was glad to see the box was not previously opened. However, there was a deep gouge on the base that appears to been there before it was packaged. The Amazon packaging was too big for all the contents I ordered. Despite all the extra movement, no additional damage to this light fixture. Amazon is great. It was replaced quickly and without any hassles...One of the reasons I order throught Amazon...Quality of the lamp was better than I expected, fitting a contemporary living style extremely well...I would order a Nova fixture again, without hesitation.

We bought this lamp online with a little trepidation, but we'd not found anything in stores that suited our living room. It arrived well packed. It had a small ding in the base, but was easily covered up with a little black magic marker. We love the lamp and it suits our decor perfectly. The light switch allow dimming, and this was a nice surprise.

This lamp is very well made and great for our log home. It is taller than I realized (buffet lamp) but looks good on our glass and iron side table for reading. My only disappointment is that I can't tilt the shade and I don't want to force it.

This lamp is too simple for the price. The seams on the lamp are so huge and obvious. During the assembly, I notice the bottom portion that hides the cord was loosely glued on. But that will not show once the lamp is upright. I could have gone to Walmart and get much better quality lamps for much less.

Assembly was semi-easy. The only difficult parts were threading the cord through the bottom so that the top portions could be screwed in properly and getting the shades leveled. None of this was not addressed in the pitiful instructions, so that took a lot of time of adjusting the harp to get the leveling precise.

In less than 10 months the floor lamp quit working. Very discouraging. Up until that time I was very satisfied with the lamps.

Amazon has limited variety of lamp sets.... they look nice but the quality of the top part doesn't worth $125 at all.... I didn't notice that the height of the long piece were very short... very very short! so I am giving this lamps two stars because they should worth no more than $70

I got what I expected and I think it was worth the money. The only thing I didn't like was the cheap bulb sent with it. The paint on the light bulb fell off and the helmet looked too light. And I think it would look better with a special very dark blue bulb instead of an old christmas light.

I didn't need 10 of them, but I got 10 because we have old lamps around the house. The threads on one of the kbos had stripped. One of these twisted on. It works. What more can you really say about an object like this? It's a lamp knob. It works. Buy lamps from Salvation Army instead of Target. Get these for a buck if you need them. Happy days. The photo does not do this lampshade justice. It is very pretty and a much nicer, soft golden cream color. The over-draping is very soft-looking and is beautiful accent. It fits my 40 year old bronzed ceramic ginger jar lamp perfectly and adds an elegant touch. Very happy with the quality and the appearance.

The lamp shade arrived well packaged and in good shape. However, I was disappointed that the pleat creases were not sharp and bagged quite a lot. This was a pricey lamp shade and I expected more attention to detail.
