Product received promptly and as advertized. Well packed, no breakage, and all items tested and functional. Glass to metal bond seems a little weak, as typical of current imports, be careful not to twist the base off when inserting in light socket. During the six months since delivery, we have found the average "socket life" of these bulbs to be slightly less than 30 days. Down grade my review to "two stars".

Since 100 watt bulbs are no longer made, and these bulbs will be made forever, I bought some light dimmers and replace the old light socket with dimmers and now use these 150 watt bulbs. Much better than a 3-way bulb. (purchased Jan. 2013) They work great except the bulb is slightly bigger than the 100 watt bulb. Because of this, one of my lights could not be updated with the dimmer / 150 watt bulb combination. The lamp would not clear the bracket that holds the shade. The bulbs were well packed in their own brown cardboard box inside the shipping box. The dimmer I used is: "Leviton 6151 Incandescent Lamp holder Socket Dimmer". You should be able to find this local for under $10.

A couple of broken ones on arrival, and they don't last very long; not worth it. You'll do better getting them from the grocery store as you need them or stocking up at Home Depot, if you don't mind the storage space they'll need.

I need a lot of lumens in my basement and this bulb provides them. Way, way more light than an equivalent wattage wise CFL. It is an occasional use situation and as much as I would like to be a little greener, I need to see what I am doing. Sadly the CFL rated at 200 watts just didn't provide the necessary light.

In so much as I can not purchase 200 watt light bulbs in the state of California where I live, I ordered this to fill my reading needs. I have a 200 Watt bulb in a lamp with a dimmer so that I can use it in my living room at lower wattage, but when I read I need the higher wattage because of my vision and age. This GE light bulb works great for me even in the inverted position (Burn base up) in a hanging lamp. I'm very thankful to be able to acquire these bulbs through Amazon!

Nova fixtures are made well, have many styles that will suit most contemporary settings. The packaging by Nova can be better. The staple used to close the box is much too close, and can damage the shade. It was just pure luck it wasn't. One of the Nickel decorative strips, on the front of the base fell off. It was laying on the bottom of the packaging material. A simple amount of glue resolved the issue. It was easier than having to return the fixture for something that was easily repaired. The quality looks really well, matching the dark brown wood trim of my sectional. Nova has a great many styles to choose from, and the quality of the fixture is very good. Bottom-line, I would order another lamp fixture from this company.

I purchased two of these lamps for use as bedside lighting. I am completely in love with them. The quality is excellent and I am totally satisfied with my purchase.

I found that the description did not contain a lot of information I wanted so let me tell you more about it.

The lamp comes wired for plug in use but it has the option to be hard wired. The plug in cord is of a very high quality, better than any other lamps in our home. The lamp comes with two lengths of cord cover totaling around 24 inches. The arm has about a 45 degree turning radius from side to side but can be tightened down so that it doesn't swing.

I would give the installation only 3 stars, but since I'll only install them once...I don't think it should detract from the overall score. A word of advice...USE YOUR OWN DRYWALL ANCHORS! The anchors that come with the lamps are complete garbage. I've never seen anything like them. Just simple tubes that you stick in the wall. No idea how they're meant to work. Other than that, I feel like I really scored with these lamps!

These lamps were exactly what I wanted for bedside reading. Color and appearance were a perfect match for my decor, and the size and style were just right as well. After installing them, I removed the lamps that had been taking up space on my nightstands, creating a tidier appearance.

Installation was fairly easy (I mounted them on the wall, but plugged them into nearby outlets. They also can be hard-wired, but obviously that's not an easy thing to do in an existing house.) All you need to do is drill 4 holes in the wall for the set of screws that is used to attach the mounting plate to the wall. I agree with the other reviewer, who strongly advised against using the included drywall anchors because the anchors looked pretty flimsy, although that would not be a problem if you are mounting into studs because the supplied screws would be fine for that.

All was well until, after mounting them, I noticed that each lamp shade hung slightly crooked. The fault is in the arcing tube that comes up from the mounting plate and curves out to the top of the lampshade on both of mine, the part that hangs from this tube does not hang straight down, but is slightly angled to one side (both lamps were the same in this regard). I really like the lamps and didn't want to go through the delay and hassle of exchanging them, with no certainty that the replacements would be better, so I did my best to adjust the shades to minimize any appearance of tilting. If I can't get used to this over time, I might take them down and try to bend the metal tubes.

Summary: Really nice design, appearance is great, but suffers from quality control in the manufacturing process. Needless to say, these lamps, like 90% of all products being sold these days, are made in China. :-(

the arm into place as well. My only sadness is in discovering it was not a 3-way lamp for some reason I thought it was.

Love theses lamps. The only downside is that they are a bit larger than I wanted for the wall on each side of the bed but they are working for us ok. You want to mount them closer to the top of the headboard than I did so they are easily accessible to turn on and off from in bed.

These "lamps" are very, very nice! They are for my solar/battery powered campsite/disco that entertains hundreds of crazed, burning man type of folks. I have no power at the campsite so I have all sorts of special effects lighting for that. Maybe I didnt even use it right but I followed all instructions for assembly and to use it but after awhile the jellies kind of stop moving. I am assuming this is because air bubbles get under their tops after awhile. ? In the instructions you are meant to put the jellies in upside down and then flip them with a tool to minimize bubbles. I did all that and it worked for a bit, so maybe you just have to keep flipping them upside down to remove bubbles.

Overall it stil is a cool idea for a not too expensive price. The idea is great but I"ll keep playing with mine to see if I can make it work more consistently.

This lamp is too simple for the price. The seams on the lamp are so huge and obvious. During the assembly, I notice the bottom portion that hides the cord was loosely glued on. But that will not show once the lamp is upright. I could have gone to Walmart and get much better quality lamps for much less.

Assembly was semi-easy. The only difficult parts were threading the cord through the bottom so that the top portions could be screwed in properly and getting the shades leveled. None of this was not addressed in the pitiful instructions, so that took a lot of time of adjusting the harp to get the leveling precise.

I bought 3 of these, 2 for gifts and one for myself. They hook up in seconds, don't take up much desktop space and provide 3 brightness settings. The light from these is perfect. They really provide exactly as much as you need and with the flexible neck should be able to fulfill your needs. I've got mine plugged into a little clock on my desk with a USB port but they come with a usb cable and plug adapter if you want to use an outlet. One of mine came without the adapter. I emailed the Sun Alarm company (makers of the iTask) and had a response within minutes letting me know they'd be mailing me an adapter at no charge. Superb service and a great product. What more can you ask for?

I received the adapter within 2 days of contacting Sun Alarm. Not only a great product but superb customer service. If you're looking for a desk lamp, look no farther.

I loved the lamp. Love the versatility of it with adapters. Love the three touch brightness. However, I would of loved it more if the base was somewhat weighted. As long as you do not bump it it will be fine and not tip over. Also noticed if I have something on my fingers and run my finger over the on switch sometimes it does not take to turn on. I have to repeat it a couple of times. Still overall I do enjoy the lamp and will adapt to the quirks. Ordering another one for my desk at work and will leave this one at bedside table. Like the idea of color choices too!

I love the lamp part of this floor lamp,but the shade is just ridiculous. It's huge, bright white plastic. It cheapens what is a very elegant fixture. I ended up buying a new shade -and finding a shade large enough for this size floor lamp is not easy or cheap (in other words, no luck at target, walmart or ikea). In my opinion, the shade shown on the picture is not the shade that is shipped with the lamp. the picture shows it to be slightly off white or ivory. It is not. It is stark white. It also seems much larger diameter-wise than the one shown.

First note is that this lamp is sold by Amazon but not eligible for Prime shipping. So expect to pay around $15-$20 for S&H. That said, when we received it, I was immediately impressed by the size. It stands about six feet high and helps balance and heighten our room. The build quality is pretty good and on par with expectations. The wood looks nice. It is a 3-way lamp, which I prefer. My only complaint is that the lampshade is shipped in two pieces that clumsily connect together, leaving overlapping "flaps" to create one shade. Very cheap looking in my opinion and should have been clearly called out in picture and description. I have not yet decided if I'll keep it as is, keep lamp and replace shade, or return it. I'm conflicted because I really like the lamp itself but know buying a shade of this size and style will be both expensive and difficult to find.

Great looking lamp for the money. Easy to assembly no tools necessary good instructions but you won't need them. The lamp shap is two arced pieces so you do have 2 obvious seams but very sturdy. Could use a light diffuser to shield those sitting next to it on a lower couch from direct view of the bulb. The lamp is tall and very substantial. Solid heavyBase.

the lamp came in a relatively short time. that was good. it was easy to put together. The shade was ugly and looked cheap. I tried to find another shade but that kind was hard to find. it was what was described but I must have been reading something into it because it just wasn't what I was expecting. after taking it out of the box, there was no way I could re-pack it to return it. I gave it away and found what I wanted locally.
