I was excited to get this lamp because if how cool it looks.

I finally got the lamp in the mail today and I'm disappointed. The lamp in the picture is shown without a light bulb. Normal light bulbs don't even fit in this lamp, half of the bulb will stick out which looks awful and bright because the bulb is not covered by the shade. The plastic used for the base is very coarse and looks cheap.

I was expecting so much more from this lamp, I am most likely going to try to return it.

I would also like to point out that the two other reviews on this lamp are fake. One even goes as far as to say "I am definitely going to consider some other items made by LumiSource" which clearly showed this is a comment by the company or someone paid to comment.

We were very disappointed when we received this lamp. The base was made poorly so it wobbles. The light bulb sticks out below the shade ruining the illusion and the lamp is very small so the bulb is way to close to all the plastic. We have it back in the box and not sure we will ever use it. It's not worth the postage to send back. Made in China.

I purchased this lamp in yellow. I have had no trouble with the base at all and have not experienced the bulb sticking out beyond the shade must be the choice of bulb. However, as the other reviewer noted, the bulb is close to the shade and stand, so I don't leave this lamp on when no one is in the room and this is the reason I wouldn't give it more stars.

Conceptually bang on. In execution, more or less okay. Base too light for the overall, unbalanced design. Pour could have gone to the top of shade so the typical 40W bulb wouldn't show. A 40w baby spot helps to hide actual light source. The Black cord rather than white shows that somebody has no esthetic sense whatsoever. The soft shaped star pour that defines the base is one solution but an asymmetrical design could have had more fun and function. NIce bit of whimsy with a cheap price and it unfortunately showsbut I still like it.

I got this lamp as a night light for my daughter's room and scored giant Dad Points for finally having a good idea. If you are a parent then buy this for your kid-they will love it and you get all the glory!

The lamp is even prettier than the picture. We love the color and texture of the body of the lamp. The scallop shade seems well constructed. We purchased them for our bedroom and we really are pleased with our purchase.

Size, shape and appearance are great when the light is on.

However, when the light is off, if you look from close distance, it feels like some dull colored plastic pieces put together with some tar like black glue. I was expecting some metallic looking or foil like stuff in between the pieces.

I am still happy about how it looks when the light is on.

I'm a college student and my dorm's lighting fixtures are far from pleasant. Fluorescent lighting is harsh and makes me feel like I'm in a hospital at all hours of the day. This lamp provides a nice warm glow do to the cream color of the shade. It's a nice heavy construction with the frame being made out of metal and the shade being made out what seems to be plastic that is wrapped in a cream fabric. I love the lamp and I've had no problems with it! I highly recommend it.

I ordered this Elvis for my brother since he is a huge fan of his for Christmas. Upon opening the item up and setting it up, we discovered the lamp shade was delivered damage. Luckily for the seller and Amazon a refund was issued for the item as there were none available for exchange. The item is pretty cool and looks great as a desk or table top lamp. The light fixture is of good quality and looks terrific. I'm pleased with the value of the fixture. This set has two table and one standing lamp; they sockets are three-way lamps, however, that doesn't help much anymore with the new light bulbs. The set has a simple brushed steel finish suitable for a basic decorating. They arrived in one pack and were simple to put together. I like the clear electrical cords on each lamp because they don't stand out. The reason for three stars is the way they are screwed together; they tilt a little and are not perfectly straight. However, you get what you pay for and they were about $160 for three lamps. Overall, I will use them.

If you can somehow affix it to a surface, it would be okay. But if you touch it, brush by it, move it, or adjust the flaps, it will tip over. The fixture is not counterbalanced by a solid and sufficiently heavy stand.

Long story had one for another daughter and had found it in a garage sale. Other daughter TOTALLY JEALOUS of this lamp and I was disgusted over the arguing. Since it was an odd unique item I figured I'd never EVER find another one! I was WRONG! My "other" daughter is SO DELIGHTED! I was also very pleased with the service I got from this seller that he was not only able but WILLING to ship it via a method that was easier for my daughter living in NYC with no door-man for private shippers to receive via USPS. This is a very nice looking lamp, with sturdy construction, but it is not very functional as far as lighting goes. The lamp comes with a clear 25 watt E12 "Golf" style lightbulb that is very dim. The bulb's light output is minimal, as it barely lights the surge plug that I set it next to. I would only recommend this as a prop for a movie studio themed room, or some other decorative function, but not as an actual desk lamp.

Originally purchased it because it was cheap, but I should have looked into it a bit more.

It didn't come with the lamp and the bulb recommended to me didn't fit inside it. It was four weeks before I was even able to turn it on. Assembly was simple, but it has these plastic rings that hold the cable to the pole, one of which broke before I even had the cable in it.

Otherwise, it's an okay lamp. It does the job.

I bought two of these for work and after five weeks of intermittent searching after work, finally found the bulb type for these guys.

Bulb is intermediate base. NOT candelebra, NOT standard (for those as frustrated as I am about finding the right bulb).

The only reason this product gets a two star is because it is made of real metal (except the part that counts -the enclosure).

This lamp is nice for task lighting. It is perfect for a bit of extra light on my crafts, and my friend likes it for carving.

They are sold by IKEA for $3.99, and comes without the bulb. I'd suggest getting a 25 watt bulb (the maximum size to avoid fire hazard), as the ones sold by IKEA (7 watt fluorescent) were not all as bright as I'd like AND the other halogen ones IKEA offered (25 watt) burned out fairly quickly. Check the size of the base carefully, as it is a smaller one than the standard light bulb.

I love the lamp part of this floor lamp,but the shade is just ridiculous. It's huge, bright white plastic. It cheapens what is a very elegant fixture. I ended up buying a new shade -and finding a shade large enough for this size floor lamp is not easy or cheap (in other words, no luck at target, walmart or ikea). In my opinion, the shade shown on the picture is not the shade that is shipped with the lamp. the picture shows it to be slightly off white or ivory. It is not. It is stark white. It also seems much larger diameter-wise than the one shown.

First note is that this lamp is sold by Amazon but not eligible for Prime shipping. So expect to pay around $15-$20 for S&H. That said, when we received it, I was immediately impressed by the size. It stands about six feet high and helps balance and heighten our room. The build quality is pretty good and on par with expectations. The wood looks nice. It is a 3-way lamp, which I prefer. My only complaint is that the lampshade is shipped in two pieces that clumsily connect together, leaving overlapping "flaps" to create one shade. Very cheap looking in my opinion and should have been clearly called out in picture and description. I have not yet decided if I'll keep it as is, keep lamp and replace shade, or return it. I'm conflicted because I really like the lamp itself but know buying a shade of this size and style will be both expensive and difficult to find.

Great looking lamp for the money. Easy to assembly no tools necessary good instructions but you won't need them. The lamp shap is two arced pieces so you do have 2 obvious seams but very sturdy. Could use a light diffuser to shield those sitting next to it on a lower couch from direct view of the bulb. The lamp is tall and very substantial. Solid heavyBase.

the lamp came in a relatively short time. that was good. it was easy to put together. The shade was ugly and looked cheap. I tried to find another shade but that kind was hard to find. it was what was described but I must have been reading something into it because it just wasn't what I was expecting. after taking it out of the box, there was no way I could re-pack it to return it. I gave it away and found what I wanted locally.

My daughter-in-law had this sweet little mushroom lamp on her Amazon Wish List for our first grand-baby...and we purchased it for them for Christmas. When I saw it, it was just as adorable as pictured.
