Being there were no reviews for this lamp, I was a bit cautious about purchasing it. But after much deliberation, I went ahead and pulled the trigger.

What attracted me to this lamp was there are two outlets located conveniently at the base. This is very convenient for me to put in my phone or ipod charger without getting out of bed.

The light itself isn't too bright when you first turn it on, but eventually gets brighter. The body is made of steel and the shade is plastic. So far, it's been good, although I've only owned it for a few weeks now.

I wanted a smallish lamp for the bedside table for reading and the like. This one fit the bill perfectly it has a pretty small footprint on the table and with the adjustable neck you can direct the light wherever you need it most. It has two outlets on the base excellent idea! I can charge the Blackberry and the Kindle at the same time without trying to reach an outlet at the bottom of the wall every time.

The reason for four stars instead of five is the shade on the lamp. It widens at the end where the light shines out and for some reason there is a periphereal glare from almost every direction you turn it. There's a shiny silver lining on the inside of the shade and it's almost as if the light is reflected off the inside of the shade at a bizarre angle. It doesn't rend the light useless, just note that if your partner is sleeping, the light may bleed over past your side of the bed.

This was a great purchase, I love it. It's a lamp, not much to say except it appears to be sturdy construction if not bordering into overkill. The base is heavy, a breeze from an open window won't knock it over. Mine came with a CFL bulb too.

Pros:

Long heavy duty 3-prong (grounded) cable. The two grounded outlets are spaced far enough apart you can easily put two transformer plugs onto it (phone chargers). Totally boss bendy arm that looks like a metal snake.

I needed a bedside lamp, and wanted to not have to bend behind the bed each night to plug in my phone. This lamp doesn't take up too much space on my bedside table, provides a good amount of light, and lets me charge two things easily. The outlet provides enough power to charge my phone or laptop if I need it. I have not yet tried to find a replacement bulb (the bulb that the lamp takes is nonstandard), but between the internet and Home Depot, I am not too worried about finding one.

This is a nice desk lamp. Great price, nice lighting. When you have it off, the lamp shade is a blueish-grey. Easy to turn on/off but you do have to turn the opposite way which takes some getting used to. I like that there are plugs close so you can easily plug your phone charger and what not into it without having to find the wall plug.

This lantern exceeded our expectations. Looks great hanging in the stairwell and big enough for people to really notice but not too huge. Great quality and we bought the Cadalera lights from Lowes that last 25 years so hopefully will never have to mess it with it again. Was half the price of what it is sold for at Home Depot. It looks good on my nightstand, but for over $100 for a nightstand lamp, the quality is not high enough. While the lamp is completely sturdy and well constructed, the materials do not seem top quality and are just... a bit off. For example, the shade just does not look like the elegant color in the picture but looks a bit cheap. Another complaint is the top piece (black upside down u) that gives the lamp its great look prevents bigger light bulbs from being installed. I tried to install a GE 150-Watt equivalent halogen light, but the top cannot screw on when a bulb that big is installed. This is frustrating because I really wanted more light but would have to sacrifice the look of the lamp.

All in all, not a bad product but I'm sure you could do better for the money.

Buy Philips 37344/48/48 Ledino Energy Efficient LED Dimmable Table

Philips Ledino products don't seem to get many reviews on Amazon, but that hasn't stopped me from buying a cross-section of their products (from table and floor lamps to hard-wired fixtures). Although Amazon sometimes has trouble shipping lamps without them arriving broken (at least they're good at arranging returns), I've been very happy with every Ledino product I've purchased.

How happy? Well, I've now purchased four of the 37344 table lamps alone. (Three for home, one for the office.) Occasionally the price drops by a healthy amount on Amazon, and that's a good time to pull the trigger.

This table lamp exudes quality -the aluminum base has a solid feel to it and the cylinder of glass floating towards the top is beautiful and elegant. The LED lights have a nice, slightly warm color temperature. The materials and fit and finish make the whole lamp seem like a piece of art. It's a modern piece of art, so if you're not into contemporary design, this might not be for you. One of the things I like most about this lamp is that it throws out light without glare. The diffused light is aimed downwards (and it throws a lot of light), with some light shining out the glass sides. You don't see bright light shining out of it.

Is it expensive? Yes, but the materials and workmanship make it feel like it should cost more. It sips power and doesn't get very hot at all. Freed from the incandescent bulb, LED lights are allowing designers to get very creative with the form factor of lamps and lights. This lamp demonstrates that with an exclamation mark.

Review of Park Madison Lighting PMW-1520-16 16-Inch Tall, Extends to 22-Inch

This light is perfect except the 'swing arm' doesn't swing! There are two joints that should swing the outer one which extends the light to it's fullest reach and the joint right where the arm attaches to the wall plate. The outer joint works great. The inner joint doesn't swing without a LOT of pressure. So much so that we weren't sure the joint was even supposed to swing. Plus the wall plate is not substantial enough to take the needed pressure without bending.

This company appears to be out of business (check the website for Park Madison Lighting old website from 2009 and a no longer working phone number) as I wanted to check with them to verify that BOTH joints should indeed swing (like they do in the light we are replacing).

We will make this work by mounting the light on a block of oak and reinforcing the plate to which the swing arm is attached. After doing this, I think we'll be able to loosen the inside joint up.

Other than that, we love the lamp in fact bought two of them. Both, by the way, are the same only one joint that swings.

I'm sure Amazon would take the lights back but for the price we'll make them work the way we want! The brushed brass finish is very nice.

I expected more for $55 plus $8 shipping. Yes, it is cute, my wife loves it, and it is small which I like. But the lamp is crooked. The pedestal is not plumb, and the upper part is crooked relative to the pedestal. It even rocks a little on the base. It seems very cheaply made (in India by the way). I had to take out the standard 60 watt bulb and use a CFL instead, because it got way too hot. I started to smell it, and I think the paint would have scorched had I not changed the bulb. If I could have had my way I'd have gone with the Normande Lighting AM3-624A Compact Fluorescent Banker's Lamp, only $44 AND FREE SHIPPING! But my wife did not want green. The wife likes it so I give it two stars.

I would like to give this fixture 5 stars, but I have to dock 2 stars because it's not what the product description says it is.

I found a similar Dale Tiffany at a big-box retailer for significantly less but had to return it because the 2 60-watt bulbs it took did not cast enough light. I was willing to pay the upcharge for this fixture because the description says it takes 3 75-watt bulbs. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box (which is labeled "3LTF") and it has sockets for only 2 75-watt bulbs!

Amazon customer service was wonderful. They credited my account for the difference and said they would speak with the manufacturer about straightening out the product description. I kept the fixture because, at the end of the day, it's beautiful! It casts a little less light than I was hoping for, but it looks so nice in my dining room that I'm willing to live with the shaded 150 watts.

Comparing this to other Dale Tiffany mosaic fixtures, I was worried that the colors would be dull, but that is certainly not the case. There is a lot more yellow in this than the picture shows, which picks up nicely on the yellow in my walls, and the clear round bubbles (for lack of a better word) sparkle!

Horchow describes the color as pewter and here it's silver leaf. It's heavily on the gold tone side and doesn't fit the pewter and lilac decor in my bedroom. However I do have to say it's even more gorgeous than on the picture.

I received this lantern as a gift and I rarely review anything but this thing is so cool! I let it sit in the sun while camping on the California coast and when night came I turned it on, plugged in my phone to the USB port and listen to podcast's all night while the Mooni Takeme let us see our cards and cribbage board. The solar charge lasted longer than we did and that's with my battery on my phone receiving a complete charge. I see only 1 is available on Amazon. Is there a place I can buy more for holiday gifts?

It is a truly wonderful lamp.

I needed one that gave off enough bright light to read at night but wouldn't blind me.

This one fit the bill.

Easy to put together 3 minutes tops.

Looks like a piece of sculpture. Stick one of those 75 energy bulbs in it and it lights up the room.
