The wiring is nice and long, the socket assembly is sturdy and easy to put together, the shade bracket is nice and tall. BUT the threaded mounting tube is extremely short, really too short. If I had to guess I'd say it was only a half inch long, which made it extremely difficult to get the lamp assembly threaded securely.

The lamp of my living room lamp-table combination quit and I looked everywhere for something I liked as well to no avail. Thank goodness for replacement parts! The Leviton 3-way Lamp Replacement Kit has such easy-to-follow directions printed right on the package that it was a breeze to install. I actually like the size of this cord better than the one that was originally installed in the lamp. The original cord was so thick that I could barely get it out of the metal tubing that leads to the light, which I believe is the reason the lamp shorted out. The cord in the Leviton 3-way Lamp Replacement Kit is well insulated but smaller and much easier to work with. I highly recommend this product! It's easy and saves a lot of money as opposed to replacing a lamp!

It is a very nice little lamp. Lots of light for only 13 watts, it doesn't take up a lot of space. What I'd recommend, once you decide to keep it, order a replacement lamp (bulb). They do last a long time but not forever. You will not find a replacement lamp at your local home center nor even at the specialty (we only sell light bulbs) light bulb store. The Tensor lamp a freak. The only difference is the shape of the plug-in base. The ones in most stores have a square protrusion that prohibits their use in the Tensor fixture. It is only when confronted by this type of pointless specialization that one fully appreciates the medium screw light bulb base found in every incandescent lamp in every home in America

I ordered this and the item description drastically varies from the title. While it does say colors vary, the item description says black.

Item came in quickly and in great condition (thanks Amazon Prime!), however upon opening the box and examining the product I notice that I received a pastel-colored PURPLE lamp (and i'm a guy who definitely doesn't like that kind of color).

I know this is a minor cosmetic issue. And sure, it works as described and functionality-wise is a great desk light but the appearance definitely bothered me for a bit, and since the price was so low it's really not something worth hassling over with sending back for another lamp. This is the first time i've been given a somewhat disappointing purchase from Amazon, so for this and the reasons above, I think it's merely "OK".

Replacement lamps are difficult, but not impossible, to find. Search for CF13SE/865-2G7. This yields a 6500K (color temperature) lamp. If you can live with a warmer color (i.e. 3500K), lamps are cheaper and easier to find. Search for CF13/2G7.

I purchased this lamp to replace one I purchased from QVC. This one is actually better and unlike the aforemention lamp, I will be able to purchase a replacement bulb should one eventually be needed. Great for working on small projects. I use my for reading while sitting on my sofa to prevent the need for other lighting in the room.

This lamp won't stay open, so obviously it's not of much use. I got around that by taking a piece of clear shipping tape, folding over one end to make a little tab, and taping the silly thing open. Then I just lift the tape by the tab and let it the lamp close. I have to replace the tape after about a dozen uses, but at least I can use it.

I gave it 2 stars because I like the color. I received a lavender one, and I'm a purple girl all the way. Other reviewers have complained that they dislike the colors they were stuck with. How hard is it to let the customer choose the color? After all, lamps are generally considered part of a room's decor, no?

This lamp is a really beautiful touch lamp. The pictures on the glass panes are not stickers, but part of the glass itself. I was impressed with the quality. The only thing I would improve is the amount of light it puts out. It does not light up the room, but makes a perfect night light on it's lowest setting and works perfect for my grandson. A higher wattage of light bulb may make it brighter, but I am not sure if that can or should be done.

We got these lamps to clip to bookcases on either side of our bed so we could read before going to bed at night. The color blends perfectly with our Espresso colored bookcases and headboard. Ordered this from the Amazon Warehouse where I saved some money because it didn't have the original box. Had it sent directly to my son in college, didn't know if we needed a desk lamp until he moved into his dorm. Great clip and great lamp, just enough to study by. Loved saving some money and having it shipped directly to the college, it saved me a lot of time.

I will always look at the Warehouse department first before ordering things.

Really lovely night stand lamps. They are a pretty ivory with a sharp looking gold base. Much richer looking then the picture. 26" is just the right height and the shade is a pleated ivory. Looks great on our mahogany night stands. I had trouble getting these lamps. Most dealers were out of them so I was thrilled to find them on Amazon with this dealer.

Please be cautious when ordering this lightnowhere in the description does it state that the crystals are purple!!! I called the manufacturer hoping that we could switch out the crystals, but the gentlemen I spoke with was rude and no help whatsoever. All he could say was "return it". The enlarged picture clearly shows a crystal ball at the top of the crystals, but it was missing. Againcustomer service's "helpful?" response was "we don't ship those with it anymorereturn it if you don't like it".

I would have rated this item higher if the manufacturer had been more helpful and willing to assist this customer. The literature in the package said to call them if there was a problem, but obviously they don't mean it!

Etched Flower Petal Shade 19.5" H 3-Light Touch Table Lamp Review

I purchased two of these lamps for the nightstands in my bedroom after one of our existing touch lamps broke. After a lengthy search, I decided to take a chance on these. Normally, I hesitate buying unreviewed products, but I really liked the pattern and the size was just right for the space.

I appreciated the free shipping offered by the seller, and the lamps arrived on time and seemed to be packed well---no complaints there. They were unassembled, but the instructions were simple enough. Unfortunately, as I unpacked the pieces, problems began to surface.

First, a light bulb was missing. Next, the spiral frame of one shade was so uneven that, when the entire lamp shade was assembled, one section was noticeably elevated. Then, I unpacked the etched petal inserts only to find a filthy-looking film on the inside of one. Granted, it didn't show through to the outside, but it was gross nonetheless, and it would not wash off. Last, but not least, one lamp base was marred by a handful of nicks.

By that point, I was pretty ticked off. After all, I had ordered two beautiful lamps and ended up with only one I could actually use, and that was after mixing and matching the pieces. So, back to the seller, the other one went. The third lamp I received has a few issues as well, but nothing so severe as to warrant another return.

On the upside, the seller---Lamps Plus---was very professional and accommodating with regard to my complaints. I would buy from them again. However, under no circumstances will I ever purchase another one of these particular lamps---they're beautiful, but the quality just isn't there.

Does the job. On off switch is a push through. My only real problem with it was that the harp doesn't fit all that well into the holder (it's a bit wobbly) and in general is pretty flimsy. If you're replacing lamp components like I was and your harp setup is sturdy and doesn't wobble and you can fit it, use that rather than the one that comes with the setup. Otherwise, it works and it's relatively inexpensive (at least compared to replacing the lamp, which was my other option)

Edit: I thought I'd updated this review but apparently that update didn't take. Less than a year after buying this (can't remember the exact time frame, but it couldn't have been more than that because I moved), the kit, which I had installed as per directions, started smoking and my wife saw a flame before I unplugged it and took it out of the apartment. I'm just glad we never used this at night or when we weren't home. Stay away. Far, far away.

Replace all of the electrical work, wiring, and parts in an old lamp that I made in shop class back in the 90's. The kit was easy to use and worked like a charm. For anyone trying to replace the electrical components in an existing lamp I definitely recommend this product.
