Highly recommend this light, especially for the price.

Note: There is no filter. There is no screen. However, with that said, based on the height of your pole, then bulb is not easily seen unless you angle yourself underneath the light. When the lights are on, it illuminates the entire can giving you the impression that there is a filter/screen.

We installed three of these lights and really like them. Will post some photos.

AWESOME pendant for the price. I looked for MONTHS for a pendant of this style that was better priced than the nearly identical Benson pendant from Restoration Hardware. We are extremely happy with them. Was a little concerned about the finish since I ordered them online but they are a beautiful chrome. Would highly recommend.

The shade looks great and fits the antique lamp fixture. However, there was no "threading" in the lampshade to hold it in place. It's actually the lightbulb that holds it on, but it can still spin on the metal bulb housing.

I really like this lamp, it has an unusual shape and presence that lends itself well to either classic arts and crafts/mission or transitional décor.

The only thing I do not care for is the cheesy inline control switch, which is clumsy and inconveniently placed. Some day when I have nothing else to do, may rewire this lamp with new pull-chain sockets.... more convenient and more 'period correct' for this type of illumination. -1 star for the switch.

The combination of mica inner shade and stained-glass outer cage is stunning and has garnered many compliments.

I purchased 2 of these lamps for my dog related bedroom. The detail on them is really nice. Far better looking in person then I ever thought possible. They are a nice size. I like the fact that the base isn't too big to take up too much room on my night stand. It's tall enough to read by and cast a good light in the room. My shades look a tad bit different in person as far as color. Mine are more of a wine color, but they match my bedroom perfectly. My monitor shows the shades being more of a brown, so if the shade color is important to you, I'd find out what color you'd be getting before ordering them. The seller shipped them right away. I got them very quickly. Overall, the lamps are fantastic and the seller is wonderful to deal with!

I probably need to get out more, but this is one beautifully styled yet very functional piece. I've tried several desk lamps from various manufacturers (some ok and some were the greatest pieces of doo doo ever to escape from the hind end of retail!)and I believe I have found my Holy Grail! The manufacturer of this lamp was sold to another company and the new company makes no effort to maintain the product line, so when your light bulb burns out no one will be able to tell you where to get a replacement. I called OfficeMax (the seller), the manufacturer (Catalina lighting), and 4 different bulb web sites, all with no luck. When the bulb burns out you might as well throw the lamp away.

but the lampshade I received was flawed with some random spots when you turn the lamp on and then they become very visible and detract from appearance also there are some other minor quality issues, I.e. the switch is too short and of cheap plastic furthermore the use of aluminum for the screw in fitting of the bulb will reduce its reliability in time.

I should realized how apparent dust would be on the mirrored panels and chrome finish. This is not a flow in the construction or quality, just a poor design choice.

I really love how this lamp looks. I did not find it hard to assemble or feel that it was cheap looking. However, I was disappointed with the amount of light that the generates. I needed it for a decent sized room with no overhead light. The amount of light, combined with the shadows produced by each light made this not the best fit for the room. So, I purchased another lamp and will use this one in a smaller room.

Well, I agree that there were scant instructions for putting together the lamp; however, it was not hard to figure out, and I must say I think the lamp is quite dazzling. I also found the quality to be just fine the base is heavy and supports the lamp well; the range of dimming is fabulous. I am wondering if the fact that one has to put it together is making people think the quality isn't good, vs pulling the lamp out of a box fully constructed, all nice and complete.

First off, this product comes in 16 pieces. That is not an exaggeration, it is exactly 16 pieces.

Each pole is comprised of 3 parts.

Then the 3 tops.

You have 3 bulbs.

And 1 base.

Assembly is a nightmare. You have to run the wires connected to the base through each portion which has a POINTLESS lip on the opposite ends that the wires get stuck behind. You better have some very, very thin needle nose pliers or you will never get the wires through. Next, MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE BULB COVERS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING!!! They send you an extra one I'm guessing in case you break one. Well I got 2 good ones, and 2 shattered ones. I didn't figure this out until the very end since these are the last pieces you put on the lamp. Now I need to contact Wayfair directly and hopefully they'll just send me replacements since they do sell them individually for $6.

To really set me off though, I got it all set up, and the poles align nothing like the picture shows. Now I have to take the bulb covers (at least the 2 that aren't busted), and the bulbs out (which mind you, you can't touch with your hands because the oil will burn when the lights are on. Welcome to halogens. To fix the alignment you need to open up the bottom panel and have a decent sized wrench to get the suckers loose. Tightening them back up while keeping them aligned is another pain. You would think they would assemble the things with little tabs to make sure they line up right. You would also think the poles would be one piece since that would be the easiest thing to do.

Oh one more thing. The instructions is one, single picture. All the 9 pole pieces are labeled differently but there is no designation on the actual pieces. After trying to figure out what the heck was going on for 15 minutes I realized that 6 of the poles are exactly the same. Only the 3 tops are different, which you can figure out where to place them judging by the cord lengths.

It looks amazing and I loved the finished product. But I wasted 2 hours putting it together and re-aligning the poles. Who knows how long it's going to take me to get replacement bulb covers as well.

Instructions were somewhat lacking but was very easy to put together (took me about 30 minutes). We like it so much we are buying 2 more!

We bought these lamps a few months ago for the bedroom. They look very classy and go really well with our espresso colored furniture. It came nicely packaged and in perfect condition.

However, they are very very light weight. You could knock over a table lamp but moving your hand with very little force. Therefore, I would not recommend these lamps to be used around small children.

Other than that, great product for the price!
