We have looked at lots of lights for over our pool table. They are all so expensive $500 and up. We just finished building a new home and did not have a big budget left for a light fixture here at this time. So, this light fit what we needed. It looks good and serves the purpose. However, it was broken when we received it where the chain hooks to the bar. My husband fixed it where the chains hook on another way, which is actually stronger & it looks the same. We're happy we have a light to use until we feel like spending more money on a more expensive one, which we plan to do in the future.

This is your typical swing arm lamp with a slightly larger knob. The stem attaching the shade to the swing-arm is too loose for it to hold position. Fortunately, I was able swap it for another of my other lamps that didn't have the problem and place ths lamp where the loose shade wasn't a problem.

This Tiffany-like lamp gets only four stars because at no place in the descripton did it say that the shade was not really glass--it LOOKS like glass. The size is good, it has two sockets that will take fluorescent bulbs, and the light is pretty through the shade. However, keep in mind that the shade is resin and plastic, not metal and glass like implied by the term Tiffany-style. Since I bought it through Amazon Warehouse, it was a terrific value.

This lamp arrived well packed. However, the lamp appeared to have been in the packing under conditions for so long that the foam and plastic had firmly adhered to the side of the lamp base. It was impossible to remove without also removing the finish. In my case I removed the loose finish completely and repainted the lamp. It is a beautiful stately lamp, but unfortunately required repair before it could be used.

This is a hard to find item for the right price! It was delivered several days BEFORE the promised date, so I was thrilled by that. My only issue is that this is difficult to thread onto the socket just right--without cross threading--so that the seam ends up where you want it. The shade fit well and was the right size but it had some dark spots that looked dirty. It may actually be woven in the fabric but I was unhappy that I paid a lot for a shade that already looked soiled in a few spots.

I've received a lot of compliments on this lamp it's great looking and does not look cheap. Although it takes a 3 way 150 watt bulb, the shade cuts a lot of the brightness, but otherwise, I don't regret my decision to buy this lamp.

The only drawback about this lamp is the short neck. It is only about 6 inches. Otherwise, the light covers a large area and it is quite sufficient for a small room. Unfortunately the edge of my window ledge is not deep enought for the clamp to stay on with the neck bent. So, I simply sit the lamp on the ledge itself, which is plenty for the lamp to stay steady even with the neck bent. It also comes with an energy efficient bulb.

This is a sturdily designed and built clip-on light. It's perfect for a wooden headboard that is slatted, but it won't work for a rounded metal (like a brass bed) frame. Plus, if you are on the top bunk in a dorm, the clip won't have anywhere to grab on to, so the neck of the light will be twisted in an awkward angle. As an alternative, the light can be clipped on to a lapdesk; it casts a lot of light, so working on a laptop is great in bed.

Really cool lamp. Came in styrofoam that went everywhere though. Bad packaging but was safe. After getting it out of the monstrous package it was bulbless. Plus the special bulbs it needs are only made in China (very bad idea there). So they don't sell these Chinese bulbs anywhere other than Home Despot. So I had to give the bastards $3.00 for two bulbs plus it went out of country. Well the lamp looks very cool but I'll have to spend $100 on American products now to offest my guilty conscience.

The lamp does look extremely kick-ass among my frog king collection. If you like groovy lamps or collect frog kings like me then this is a very cool addition. It doesn't put out much light but has a more decorative feel with an ambient vibe to the light.

I'd probably give this lamp 5 stars but as for the obtuse bulb situation and the outrageous package it came in I had to knock off a star for integrity.

Purchased this 7 years back and it is still just as nice as when originally purchased. I bought this for my 5 year old son last year, and he loved it, but it just stopped working about 8 months after we got it. My husband took it apart and found burned parts and wires. He is an electronic engineer, and it is his opinion that it could have caught fire based on the parts they used and how much burned. I would not buy this apparent fire hazard again.

I just received my lamp in the mail. It looks nice, and so far it is working okay. The advertisement for this lamp on Amazon states that a bulb (50 watt halogen) is included, well, 2-40 watt decorative blunt tip bulbs are in fact included and required for this lamp, not a 50 watt halogen bulb. So, if you are shopping for a lamp that uses a certain type bulb, beware.

The lamp works fine although a little fragile. The first time i moved the lights around the third pod came apart. It clicked back together but if I move that pod it will separate very easy. The lite is good and the third option is very bright.
