I bought this for my 5 year old son last year, and he loved it, but it just stopped working about 8 months after we got it. My husband took it apart and found burned parts and wires. He is an electronic engineer, and it is his opinion that it could have caught fire based on the parts they used and how much burned. I would not buy this apparent fire hazard again.

I ORDERED THIS IN THE WRONG COLOR I HAD TO CANCEL THE ORDER BE REFUNDED AND REORDER THE SELLER WAS VERY NICE AND CERTAINLY HELPFUL VIA EMAIL. I GOT MY LAMP SOON THEREAFTER AND ITS GORGEOUS VERY MODERN/RETRO JUST LIKE I WAS HOPING..I EVEN GOT A FREE COOL WINE STOPPER--EXCELLENT

I just received my lamp in the mail. It looks nice, and so far it is working okay. The advertisement for this lamp on Amazon states that a bulb (50 watt halogen) is included, well, 2-40 watt decorative blunt tip bulbs are in fact included and required for this lamp, not a 50 watt halogen bulb. So, if you are shopping for a lamp that uses a certain type bulb, beware.

It is handsome, looks more expensive than it was. It works very easily. This is a great gift for an elderly person who has arthritis or who has trouble seeing light switches.
