My wife who loves to read in bed after I have gone to bed, has tried many, many book lights over the years. The complaints have been many about each one, and pretty much the same. Small circle of light, have to move it from side to side to see good. So last Christmas I went on an internet hunt for the ideal book light. After a few days of research, I decided on this one for her. Now 7 months later she wants me to buy one for our daughter, and a spare for her (in case I lose or break it) cause she says could not live a night without it now. True story. It is bright and evenly covers an area of two pages of a large book without trouble, no hot spots. Seems to be the perfect book light. Battery life is excellent with the LED bulbs.

The company that manufactures this light is called Mighty Bright, and for good reason! The lamp gives off more than enough light to read by in a pitch black room. It has two brightness settings, one with both LEDs and another with just one. The LEDs in this lamp are so bright, that only one is really needed, having two is an added bonus. I'm not using a power adatpter, I'm running off of 3 AAA batteries. LEDs use such a small amount of power, those batteries should last me a year or more. Overall I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this light. With such a fair price I didn't think it would really hold up, but I'm definitely going to recommend it.

I have to say that the Might Bright XtraFlex 2 is a wondefully bright light. If I position it correctly, it easily lights both pages for comfortable reading. It's so easy to adjust that there is never a problem getting the light where you want it. The price is great!

The problem arises when you turn the page or shift your own position. This light has a clip that does not secure well to the book. No matter how many pages you clip it to, it will swivel around and tip to the side. I get weary of righting it time and again. The clip is too bulky and I found myself missing the Itty Bitty Booklight that slips so nicely onto a back hard cover or a few pages of a soft cover, and then stays put. That is the only problem, but it's a substantial one when you're trying to read, thus the 3 stars. Right now, I'm hoping for a merger of the Itty Bitty and Might Bright. Perfect light and perfect clip!

Honest reviews on Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Light (Silver)

I bought three of these in blue (a spare for me and one for my brother) after thoroughly reading all of the comments on competitive brands. I found the comments praising this model to be right on the mark. When I read it lit up both pages at the same time using dual lights where all other brands required constant repositioning for each page, that was all I needed to know this was the best reading light for me.

I can't say enough nice things about this product. It has dual lights on a flex shaft which you can position to fully illuminate both pages of a large hardback book. You wont need to keep moving the light around to light your pages with this one and the pages ar well lit for easy reading in the dark. But the light is centralized on the book and not the surrounding area so others can sleep while you read.

You can also switch from dual lights to a single light. The flexible shaft on the light is sturdy and stable enough to firmly hold its position over the book even while you move around and turn pages. You can either clip it on the cover or use the clip to hold open the pages. It operates on AAA batteries. The higher quality battery, the longer it lasts. I use the Duracell ultra digital batteries with the blue band.

I cannot think of any negatives about this product. I'm not associated with any seller. I am just a customer who was happy to find a great product. Definitely a good buy.

I have purchased MANY book lights in the past, but never have I owned one that was actually bright enough to read by. I usually keep moving the light around and around and around so I can see the page . I ordered the power adapter but it hasn't arrived yet, I am using 3 AAA batteries and this is a awesome light. It has 2 lights in the head you can use both or just one, the light spreads across both pages of a paperback in either mode one light or two, I haven't tried a hard cover book yet, but I really don't think this light will have any problem at all. Very Very Bright. I definitely recommend this light .

It looks and works fine. But the wattage restriction plus the staining of the bowl prevent amount of light I was hoping for.

I purchased two of these lamps to use on bedside tables, but when they arrived they were not touch activated. Instead there was an on/off switch on the cord. Only one setting, maximum 60w bulb. I contacted Adesso and was told that they had to change the design due to cfl bulbs. The lamps are nice and modern looking, however they also looked more like hotel lamps than anything homey. I ended up returning them as my main reason for purchasing was the touch feature.

the lamp is advertised as a touch lamp but it is not a touch lamp has a side on/pff switch instead. not usre how and why this misrepresentation is there.

We spent what I consider to be a lot of money for a pair of these last January. The lamp on the far side of the room, after being used maybe once for two hrs a week, no longer turns on. For 75 a lamp I expected them to last longer than this. Heck, my ten buck clip lamp has been going for twenty years....

Very disapointed.

Honest reviews on Sophia Table Lamp

These lamps are gorgeous! Very modern, sleek, and a compliment to any contemporary decor. The absolute best feature however is the "touch" on/off feature... soooo convenient. From now on we will be looking for "touch" lamps!

My only caution is that if you are looking for a lamp to illuminate a large room, these are probably not your best bet. They are more of a luminescent accent piece that helps to set a calm mood in the room.

I purchased 2 of these Adesso Sophia Tall Table Lamps in Satin Steel and find them to be absolutely stunning! Great for a modern home. No obvious finger prints left behind because the steel has a satin finish. I only wish my refrigerator was made of satin steel! The lamp shade is of good quality, not like the paper shades from IKEA, which tear easily. I've vacuumed the shaded multiple times and no tearing because they are not made of paper. I've had them over a year now and they are still working & look just like the day I purchased them. Very easy to clean. The cord has a built in on/off switch. It is not dimmable. If you like the style, go for it. You won't be disappointed. Plus the price is fantastic for such great quality...

The two colors on this piece work beautifully together to create an atmosphere of warmth and beauty. The graceful curve also gives this glass portion of the lamp an antique look that I like.

I bought two of these and the color is a deep amber graduating to a dusty amethyst. The light glowing through them is just so warm and beautiful! Make sure you check the sizes though, because they do not fit the bedside lamp I bought them for, they are a little big (my own fault for not doing my research). However, I quickly found another lamp to fit these lovelies!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a great idea. I am a fairly early riser in general, and often do wake naturally as the sun comes up and the birds sing. However, in these dark New England fall and winter mornings, I noticed it was much much harder to wake up at the same time, because it was pitch dark.

When I was offered the opportunity to review this, I was excited, because I thought it's a perfect solution for me. I have used this for several weeks so that I could write an accurate review.

However there are some definite issues. I've included my workaround here for each issue as well. One of them I got from another reviewer here, so you might check the other reviews too.

1) If you want to squeeze every minute of sleep, this is not for you. The wake cycle begins 15 minutes before the time you set the alarm. One might think that you could just set it 15 minutes later, but it's only the wake cycle beginning. Sometimes I awaken right away (so it's about 10 minutes earlier than I "need" to be up), and other times later.

2) Not only does the wake cycle start but the combo music/nature sounds (depending on what you set it for). I can understand the light going up slowly, but the sounds wake me right away (15 minutes before I wanted to wake up). I read a review here, saying that there was no "light only" option, but you could set the sounds to zero. So I did that, but then I used a backup clock to be sure I woke up. Definitely NOT a good option to have to use.

3) I somehow stumbled across the fact that if I set the sound level at 1, it doesn't go on until the very end, when the time is actually set. This is a perfect fix for me, hopefully waking to the light, but then hearing music at the alarm time if I haven't awakened on my own. But this was something I had to stumble upon by trial and error. A more detailed instruction book would probably help, though might scare others away.

4) The Snooze feature is great. It turns off the light and the sounds, and then the light cycle goes on much quicker. I've begun doing that, and it's almost perfect.

5) The reviews are mixed about whether or not the light can be used for reading. If it's on the brightest setting, I find that it's enough light for my 40-year-old eyes. Also, I've used it with the "natural sleep cycle" where the light dims gradually to help remind myself that I need to go to sleep. You can set it for up to 60 minutes I believe.

I do like this product, but in its current design I would be disappointed if I paid full price for it. If the price doesn't bother you and the workarounds above are acceptable, then go for it. It definitely has made it much much easier to wake up when it's still very very dark outside.

Hi! So before I bought this alarm clock, I did TONS of research on alarm clocks that used light that gradually turned on to wake you up.

I scoured the internet, comparing the few products that do exist, many having awful reviews.

I really wanted to make sure that if I was going to spend this much on an alarm clock, it was really going to work and be decent quality.

This Verilux was honestly one of the best ones that I found. There were mainly good reviews about this lamp, however some key features that were complained about, that I found NOT TRUE!!!

So I would like to point out what I noticed about the lamp (I have had it for nearly 3 months now), to help you in your search!!!

1. The light has DEFINITELY helped me wake up better in the morning. In the past I have had SEVERE issues waking up to my alarm, including hearing it and turning it off, or ignoring it all together. I do not do that with this alarm, which is great!

2. A few people complained that the buttons were too hard to read, even with the light itself on. This is not true. Perhaps a modified model has come out since those complaints, but even my mother with not so good vision had no problem reading the buttons.

3. People complained that the music that the lamp plays starts as soon as the lamp turns on, and gradually gets louder, and the only way to do it without sound is to set the sound level to level one. But you cannot just turn on the sound at the END of the light cycle. I found that if I set the alarm 1 with very low (or no) sound, then set a second alarm with louder sound, that goes off 10-15 minutes later, it does exactly that. Also, for each alarm 1 and alarm 2, you can store different sounds (either one of the 4 presets or each their own radio station) and their own light levels. They are independent and it remembers each. Also separately the light level that is on when you just turn the light on, or the radio station/volume that is used, separate from the alarm, is stored.

4. People complained that when you unplug the alarm or the power goes out, you lose all your settings. This is not true. I have unplugged it TWICE, and both times it completely remembered both of my alarm 1 and alarm 2 settings. The only thing I had to reset was the clock time.

5. Someone complained that you cannot independently turn on the lamp just to use, without the alarm or sleep setting. This is not true. ALL you do is push down on the top of the lamp and it turns on, until you manually press down again OR press the OFF button to turn it off.

6. I also read a review that the speakers were completely unclear and muffled. I think maybe they received a damaged alarm because my noise is pretty clear and gets quite loud for as small as it is.

7. There were many complaints about the 4 preset music/nature sounds. I personally don't mind them, and the bird song is my favorite, but I think at that level it is a personal choice. HOWEVER, if you go to the Verilux website and search for this item, you can listen to the 4 preset sounds BEFORE you buy it, to determine if you do or do not like them yourself.

8. Also, someone complained that the light doesn't actually gradually come on, it comes on in 20 different levels. They said that it makes noise when it does so. I have yet to notice this. To me, it seems pretty smooth and gradual, but at the least it is quiet (unless you choose a sound, but the light bulb does not buzz or make noise)...

I think that these were the main drawbacks that I read in the reviews, which I obviously disregarded when I bought my alarm. I was hoping that peoples complaints weren't so bad compared to how much the light would help me wake up. Personally I feel like I was right. The main negative reviews that I read seemed to either be a result of USER error, or simple ignorance.

I would suggest if you buy this lamp, read the Verilux site about it and also read the instructions thoroughly to help you out, it is a GREAT product and totally worth it if you have issues waking up to your alarm clock with noise. It is a soothing, gentle way to naturally wake up and I LOVE it.

Oh, the only review that was negative that I AGREED with was that when setting any times on the lamp (alarm 1 or 2 or basic time), you have to cycle through ALL the times, minute by minute to get to the time you want. HOWEVER, if you simply hold down the left or right arrows (to go down or up in time), it will eventually move the minutes faster, like 20 minutes at a time, so it is a lot quicker to get to the time you want...

Best Deals for Verilux Rise and Shine Natural Wake-up Light, White

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I usually review books and have been happy from time to time to review some useful and interesting technological products. The Verilux Alarm Clock reminds me of some of the things that I studied when I took Psychophysiology in Graduate School. It simulates the way the sun gradually woke up our ancestors, who were more attuned to the biological rhythms of the natural world. Our society tends to not adjust our schedules to changes in seasons and therefore creates a certain amount of biological stress. Some of the stress can be felt when daylight savings time impacts on our rhythms about twice a year and also the SAD (seasonal affective disorder) where people feel depressed and low energy during the winter months. My sense of the latter is that it is a hibernation reflex that humans and many other animals have. We tend to associate hibernation with bears that go into deep sleep during the winter, but most hibernation animals simply lower their metabolism to conserve their energy and not need as much activity or food. Our schedule driven society usually does not change our activity level according to the seasons. We tend to work 40 hour work weeks whether it is winter or summer, get up at the about the same time, and never go to sleep when the sun sets.

While the Verilux cannot shift everything back to a more natural rhythm, it gradually brightens the room in a manner similar to a sunrise, going through about 20 levels of brightness accompanied by a gradual increase in nature sounds and some gentle ambient relaxing music (or it can wake you with your favorite FM radio station). I found myself getting up very slowly and easily, without the abruptness of the usual alarm, and without the sluggish feeling of still feeling half asleep. I liked this a lot. I also liked the reverse process called "sleep cycle" where the light progressively dims until the room is dark. This simulates going to sleep with the sunset. The sleep cycle can be set to 5, 15, 30, and 60 minutes. I chose 15 minutes. I found it interesting to notice how the light changes helped to assist transition from waking to sleep and sleep to waking. I found that I have been more sensitive to how much of our brain is influenced by light changes.

When not in use as a soft alarm, the Verilux does serve as an ambient light source. The 20 gradations of light give a lot of choice on what kind of light fits the mood of the room for various functions. I do hypnotherapy and found that the choices of lighting in the treatment room were useful. Too bright makes going into a relaxed trance more difficult, too dark makes staying awake and following the process more difficult. What required about three different lights to do, I can now do more easily with just this one light. The nature sounds and ambient music choices, 4 of them, too, can serve as a background for trance induction.

The Verilux can also double as an FM radio. This is a function that I rarely use, but I did tune it to one local radio station that usually plays classical music and has a good news summary. The FM wire antenna plugs in the back and can be easily unplugged if one does not need this feature. I prefer their plug in design for this over the loose wire that is clipped into a holder than some FM features have on some models. If you do not use it, you may want to keep the FM wire plug with the manual just in case you might want it later, or if you intend to sell the unit later on to someone else.

There are a lot of thoughtful features in the unit. But there are a few minor detractions that are worth noting and that may influence the decision to purchase this unit. One is the size. It is big enough to be considered a small lamp. This is partly so that the unit can house a 60 watt clear bulb (it can apparently also take a 40 watt bulb, but this might affect the gradations of light some). This is a good choice, because some alternative light products use more exotic bulbs that are more costly to replace and sometimes harder to find. However, the size of the unit may be a consideration if your bed only has a small night stand to work with. Since it does replace a lamp, however, it may be a matter of deciding whether or not to part with what is already there. The design of the oval dome allows for proper cooling of the light bulb, having ventilation slits on both and top and bottom. No bright light leaks through to spoil the light effect.

There are two other minor detractions. One is that the nature sounds cannot be played without the associated ambient music that they chose. You cannot input your own MP3 file of your own favorite music. While the selections are pleasant, they are also in a repetitive loop that is relatively short and there are only four choices. They might get old over time. I can partly understand why they might put the ambient music in, because the nature sounds may not be enough by themselves to wake you up. However, for a background soundscape during the day, the four selections might get old. Two is that the buttons are complex enough to use to need the manual to program the unit. While it is designed to set and forget, and remembers two alarm settings that you can alternate with, I did find programming the unit to take a little time, constantly going back and forth from the manual. I appreciate and prefer a system of buttons that are more intuitive to use and easier to fully learn. The buttons, too, are not easily readable in the light of this unit, even at its highest setting. You would either need to have another light to shine on the letters or you can artfully reflect the light of the unit back on itself with a book cover (or the manual cover). I found I just memorized which button does what from playing around with the unit. I think partly why the unit is a little button complex, though, is because it does give you a fair amount of options, even controlling the starting light level on the sleep cycle and the ending light level on the alarm cycle. The buttons, for most functions are intuitive enough to memorize, but you definitely do not want to lose the manual. One function, for instance, requires holding down the set button for 3 seconds to activate.

One feature that I appreciate a lot is the clock display panel. It has three light settings of its own. At its brightest, it can serve as a nice light blue night light. There is a softer one that does not illuminate the room very much, but can be read easily. Then there is a complete black out setting. I like this a lot, because I prefer the darkness in the room that this produces. I had an alarm clock whose numbers lit up so much that you could read a book near it and which allowed one to see all the objects in the room. Having a display which can go totally dark is a very good feature which is not in many alarm clocks (in fact, this is the first one that I have found, unless you count the ones where you close the case or the ones that are wind up and have no lights at all).

On the whole, I like this unit a lot and intend to keep it and use it for myself. I give it four stars, rather than five because of the slight complexity in programming the unit, the lack of being able to input an MP3 file, the lack of being able to just have nature sounds without the chosen ambient melodies, and the size being a bit larger than I would prefer.

Update 8/21/2013: I am still using and enjoying this product a lot, so much so that I do not think I could go back to the "shock" alarms that wake people up abruptly. Although I would still prefer that it would have been made a little smaller, I have gotten used to the size. I have also gotten more skillful at resetting the clock when a power out happens. It is done by holding the set button (second button from the left on the bottom button row) until the screen blinks and then using the button on either side to move up and down until the numbers are right, and then multiple touching of the set button until it stops blinking. I sometimes play some ambient music at night on continuous loop and the ocean sounds of the "alarm" blend in slowly with the music. My brain still gets it to gently wake up to this. I slowly emerge out of my dreams and can more easily remember them upon waking. Still happy with this product.

Honest reviews on Verilux Rise and Shine Natural Wake-up Light, White

Ever since going to college, I've been an extremely heavy sleeper. Perhaps it was the constant noise in the dorms or nightlights of roommates studying. Either way, I sleep like a log. As a result, each morning is an absolute struggle to come out of my slumber. When I first found this product, I was intrigued by the concept. About a year ago I bought the Verilux HappyLite Deluxe Sunshine Simulator for Seasonal Affective Disorder and was quite happy with it. Figuring I would enjoy the Rise and Shine as well, I took the plunge. Unfortunately, at the time of this review, I am packaging it up for return. What it comes down to is that the Verilux Rise and Shine Natural Wake-up Light, White is poorly designed.

1. The 20-step brightness of the lamp truly is "steps" rather than awake to an ever-increasing gradient of light, I frequently wake up simply due to the shuttering as the lamp kicks up from one step to another. I believe this is likely resolved in the more expensive Verilux VA04BB Rise and Shine Natural Sleep System, Graphite which uses LEDs instead of an incandescent bulb.

2. Further, I long ago converted my house to CFLs and never looked back. Because the lamp REQUIRES incandescent bulbs, the lamp throws off a decent amount of heat, not to mention actually finding incandescent bulbs at the store may get harder and harder.

3. The volume settings suffer the same "step" problem. Instead of increasing the light over the 15 minute period before you are set to wake up and then playing the radio or soundscape at the end, the music increases in volume over the course of the 15 "waking" period. Rather than smoothly increasing the volume from near-nothing to the desired volume, the music starts way too loud, then awkwardly jumping to the next higher volume step. Other reviews mention that by setting the volume to 1, the music will not go off until the end, but then when the music needs to go off, it is far too quiet.

4. Setting this alarm reminds me of my old G-Shock watches. Pressing "Set" to get to the next setting and using Rewind and Fast Forward buttons to change settings. Even despite the device having dedicated volume and brightness buttons, you are forced to use the Set, Rewind, and Fast Forward buttons to change settings. Even after everything is set, there is no battery backup meaning at the first outage, you will have to reset everything.

Overall, I really like the concept of this product. Unfortunately, it fails to accomplish what the concept sets out to do. While the Verilux VA04BB Rise and Shine Natural Sleep System, Graphite may solve a number of these issues, I'm hesitant to make the jump, especially given the difference in cost. For now, I simply can't recommend it. (Stars: 2/5)

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The big point is that it works well as a night table light and alarm. On the down side, the buttonology is not intuitive and it looks like it should be on the set of Star Wars.

Once set, the alarm, a combination of gradually increasing light and natural sounds with some sort of New Age music layered in does wake you up gently, rather than the jarring wake up of a conventional alarm. When you're ready to call it a night, you can set the light and sounds to gently dim over a period from 5 minutes to an hour. For the natural noises, you have several choices, including ocean, stream, birds, and frogs, all with a layer of a mild New Agey instrumental music. The music is relaxing, but might not be for everyone, and this would benefit from an option to turn the music off and just use the natural noises.

The controls, however, are not intuitive. I'm passably comfortable with gadgetry, and genuinely needed the manual in hand to set this. There is no reason the controls can't be more user oriented, and perhaps a later generation of this will simplify the setting procedure.

The aesthetics are odd. Without sarcasm or any intent to hurt feelings, this lamp would look entirely at home on the set of Star Wars or Logan's Run. I don't consider my bedroom a "public area" of the house, so I am much more concerned with comfort than coordinated decor, but this might be an issue for someone who has different preferences.

Looks funny, it's a little tricky to use, but a good night table lamp and alarm.

I purchased another brand of LED bulbs at Home Depot for a dimmable ceiling fan/light fixture. My wife immediately noticed them and complained that the light they produced was too harsh. Dimming them wasn't an option because it didn't change the color of the light, and when dimmed they generated a loud buzzing sound. So I purchased these to see if they would be more like the incandescent bulbs I was replacing, only much more efficient. These are much, much better. They look funky when they're not turned on (they're noticeably yellow) and they do buzz a little when dimmed (hardly noticeable when the room is completely quite), but the light they produce is much more like what's created by an incandescent bulb. They're a little expensive, but worth the money.

Have been searching for LED replacements for the various applications in our home. So far most of the light has been too bright, too blue, or just spooky.

These bulbs are at the other end of the spectrum. A bit too dim for our use, very yellow. My wife says they look like cf"s that are still warming up.

Best Deals for QTY 4 / 417048 Philips Ambient LED Light Bulb - Dimmable - 40 Watt

Compared to 40 watt Sylvania soft white standard bulb and could not tell the difference. Most LED bulbs do not distribute light evenly and make poor choices for lamps or other fixtures that point up. These are the exception and send light in all directions. Do not be concerned about the Yellow exterior, these bulbs produce soft white light.

These are pretty heavy and feel well built. They are in retail packaging and were shipped in flawless condition.

Have not tested them in a dimmer or outdoors.

Highly recommeded so far.

I have purchased several of these bulbs and found them to be very nice replacements for incandescent bulbs. I am using these in living room fixtures and in our bedroom nightstands. They are dimmable and unlike other brands of dimmable bulbs I have purchased, these do not buzz when dimmed. I recommend these Philips bulbs, even though they are a bit more expensive than other brands of LED bulbs. Don't be put off by the yellow top of the bulb when lit, they have the color of a regular incandescent bulb.

I would prefer if the switch was on the lamp... it is on the cord. The description did not explain tis but I read a review that did. So I knew what to expect. The lamps came on time. They were very easy to assemble. They do not come with light bulbs and the pamphlet is not very descriptive on which type is needed. I had to make 2 trips to the store to get it right. They require 40 w, 120v, B10. It didn't specify but you need the small base light bulbs. It looks like the larger base will fit but they don't.

The lamp was categorized by Amazon as a pair, it is not. It's a rather small, but adequate, lamp but my real problem is with the pricing. Since I thought it was a pair I was fine paying TWICE the price if you buy directly from IKEA. Twice the price is not acceptable if you are selling me one lamp. I understand that secondary sellers often mark up items to get their 'cut' but come on, you getting it from IKEA for me isn't worth 100% mark up. I'm returning the item since it wasn't as advertised (a pair) and it is grossly overpriced.

The lamp throws a very warm light. However, the shade is a bit underwhelming. It's a burlap material which kind of "junks it down". There a spot on the burlap that looks like someone scrubbed something off of it. Perhaps it was returned and then we got it when we ordered. It was too bulky of an item for us to want to return so we kept it. But I don't like the shade...

This pink kitty lamp has a prominent place in my great-granddaughter's nursery. A perfectly beautiful night light for her parents.

I am really happy with this lamp. We have the white Siamese cat. It was larger than I expected, and it made me feel like a crazy cat person when it first showed up... but I've grown incredibly fond of it. My son has slept with this light on in his room every night for the past 2 years. The brightness is perfect... not too bright but enough so that you can see around the room. My husband and I have spent many a night up with this light at this point now, and can definitely see what we need to during middle of the night feedings and diaper changes. We are expecting our second child and are looking for a new lamp for his room. There is a good chance we'll get another Offi light for him as well. We've tried to find a less expensive option, but aren't coming up with anything that works quite as well as this one.

I had bought 2 of these for my 5 year old daughter and she absolutely loves them! They sit by her bed and I know that she'll keep them for a long time. I feel its something she won't grow out of until her 20's so I consider it a good and fun purchase!

Honest reviews on OFFI Home MEGSIAM-U Siamese Accent Lamp, Sky Blue

I received an orange Siamese lamp and it had a light/thinner circle around the eye that Offi initially said was definitely a flaw. So they sent another, which had the same problem. So they sent a green one, which had the same problem. Offi then decided it wasn't a flaw. It looks funky. Also, the light is 10W, which a guy at the hardware store told me is for reading lights -it's too bright. I tried a 5W that I bought off Amazon at a pretty steep price, and if it's any dimmer, it's not noticeable. The black cord and big black power adapter are eyesores and the lamp also gets a little hot, which doesn't seem safe. Also note that Jolity's return policy is ridiculous; you basically can't touch the box or they won't accept it as a return and you have to pay to ship it back and if they don't accept it, pay to have it shipped back to you.

I was shopping for a very specific bedside table with lamp and had a small space to work with. This lamp was perfect! It was relatively easy to put together and it looked great. The glass is thick and I doubt it will chip easily, if at all. The base is heavy and sturdy and holds the table/lamp upright without wobbling. The only issue I had was when I took everything out of the packaging, the bottomside of the base looked slightly worn/used as if it had been somewhere not clean and it had been dragged along an uneven surface. But since I set it up, it's been great with no issues. It has capability for a 3 setting lightbulb but I put a regular eco-friendly bulb in it so it only can be on/off. Overall, very happy with this.

This lamp is beautiful and well constructed. The base is nice and heavy. It took a bit of finagling to assemble but it was totally worth it.

Lights up a whole room with soft light. LOVE the pattern on the shade and the leather I'm buying another one today.

The lamp was slightly shorter than I had anticipated and the lamp shade has a checked pattern in it which I couldn't tell from the picture on the internet, but I absolutely love it. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Honest reviews on Lite Source LS-80290 Olina Floor Lamp, Leather Pole with White Grid

I really like this floor lamp. The shade has a pattern to it to give it a different look other than the typical plain shade. The only thing that bothered me a little, it is shorter than most floor lamps. You will have to pair it with some furnture. It looks out of place standing alone.
