I have been looking (on-line) at this lamp for over 2 years. Finally found the $$ in my budget to buy it. It is a beautiful lamp. It has a foot dimmer switch, so you can leave it on low if you would like a night light effect, or turn it up all the way for use as a room lamp.

I am extremely pleased with the quality, however, it does come in two pieces and it is heavy (think quality) so you need two people to hold the 'tree trunk' to enable hand screwing it together. The shade on this is a beautiful golden hue to it and gives off nice warm glow.

We set this in the corner of the room, so the dogs and kids wouldn't knock it down. As stable as any other tall lamp, so don't be concerned. This is a high quality light and worth its cost.

Looks very 'real' from across the room.

I purchased this lamp because I have a ski condo with a mountain/bear/cabin theme and it matches a paper towel holder in my kitchen. I love that it has a floor switch/dimmer and leave it on for guests who arrive when it's dark. It was fairly easy to put together...my teenager helped me; however, more descriptive directions would have been helpful.
