This was alot smaller then I expected, but it's working fine. It uses G type bulb. I purchased a G16 for it and it's working well. I thought about buying an LED G16 to save energy, but LED tend to burn very hot and the lamp suggest using bulb of 40 watts maximum because chance of fire.

I also like that the light switch is on the cord instead of on the lamp itself, because I have it on my night stand and it's easier to reach being on the cord.

I would suggest Amazon to tell customers buying this lamp the light bulb recommended for this lamp.

Much smaller than anticipated. Bought it for my son's bedroom, very disappointed by the size and quality. Took the plastic covering off the lampshade and basically tore the inner support out. Very cheaply made, not even worth the price I paid. The bulb was also difficult to find. Definitely not worth it!!

I ordered this originally from Target (it was not on Amazon's website when I did so), and it arrived with a crushed top. From Amazon, it came just fine, and it's adorable for our nursery. It's small, cute, ivory (as it says), and works just fine. Order it from here, not Target. It had a tiny little paint flaw on the nose of the teddy bear, not enough to deal with the hassle of returning/replacing it, and probably not something that is a systematic issue, but that's why it's 4 stars and not 5.

This lamp base is cute, but the shade and attachmetns are VERY cheap. This is not going to be a long term keepsake. If you want some inexpensive decor, then this is for you. If you want a nice lamp that will transition from a baby's room into something you keep-then get something nicer. My lamp shade is crooked and I am afraid to play with it anymore because the metal is so low quality.

Too bad for Bulbrite and Amazon that the author of the the only other (2 star) review doesn't know the difference. This is a nice lamp. It's nothing like a lamp you would pay $59 for at Target or Walmart. It has good reach, it appears to be well made, and has great design aesthetics. I LOVE the fact that it offers plenty of light with the energy saving and cool-to-the-touch benefits of an LED bulb. At $150, I wouldn't call it a bargain, (I paid less) but I shopped a little and think it compares well with lamps of similar pricing. The free shipping is not for those on a schedule. I think Amazon put it in a backpack and handed it to someone hitchhiking to my city. It was s l o w and the response to my inquiry about it was lame. All things considered, I'm happy with the lamp.

The LED technology works exactly as advertised. I went out to my local office supply stores but this product is not carried; too pricey for many as halogen is still available for a bit less. My halogen had failed (heating issues) and a friend recommended LED as it is really safer that halogen so I gave it a shot. I am happy.

I wanted a high quality lamp that has the ability to position light where I need it without falling over or breaking. This lamp does the trick, it can be postioned up high, down low, out far, etc. The base is quite heavy and keeps it from falling over. The articulating arm is all metal yet light and well made. The light consumes only 7 watts and should last basically forever. I use it for a work bench lamp where performance is more important than esthetics. My experience with lamps like this is that little stuff usually goes wrong like the switch breaking or the light socket wearing out, or the arm breaking, etc. This lamp appears to be pretty bullet proof and should last a very long time. I was hoping the light output would be a little brighter, but it's still plenty bright enough to read by and when positioned near an object, provides plenty of light. Light output is probably equivalent to a 50W incandescent. The other thing I wish it had was brightness control, it only has on and off. It's a nice lamp though and I'm sure the $150 I shelled out for it will be long forgotten and in the noise in a year or two while it continues to perform.

I haven't found a better desk lamp for anywhere near the money (when you can find these on sale, anyway!). This one puts out a usable amount of light (I don't know if it's equivalent to a 100W incandescent, but at least a 35W halogen) while producing very little heat, so you don't have to worry about burning your hand when moving the head around. But perhaps even better is the articulating arm that is a useful length, allowing you to place light where you want it. There are dozens of inexpensive "architect-style" lamps with arms that LOOK like they allow the head to extend, but actually offer rather limited reach. This lamp, however, is the real deal. Sure, it's a little expensive, but not when compared to what a similar Humanscale lamp would cost...

Negative 5 stars if that was possible. This lamp is way over-priced, very poorly made and pathetically "designed". It is badly constructed out of cheap materials--mostly thin stamped sheet metal covered by a fake chrome plastic tube. An expensive lesson in bad. I was shocked at how badly made this lamp is for the cost. This is difficult to tell from the product photos--the poor joints and details are not apparent even with the zoom, but they stand out on the product out of the box--I put it right back in. It does not come close to the mythical "$59.00 Target Lamp" mentioned in other reviews--don't know what these people are thinking. I have 15+ years in the product design and manufacturing world, I have designed, built and evaluated many lamps among other things, so I feel confident making these comments. Save your money for something better--buy the Target lamp...at this price, you could afford two!

The lamp arrived on time and in good condition. I own many Tiffany style lamps and had my doubts before ordering, even after reading all the reviews that gave the lamp 4-5 stars. A lamp like this usually goes for $500-$800 so you can understand my doubts when the price was just $127.68 including shipping. The description of the lamp color was pink and green and I wanted blue but ordered it anyway. The lamp I received was most definitely blue and not green and pink (wonderful). The lamp and shade was covered in an oily film that was easily removed with a paper towel. The base of the lamp is base metal and not bronze or bronze coated like other Tiffany style lamps I own, but acceptable from a distance. The metal base easily attaches to the lamp base using two thumb screws. I did not use the included bulb in the lighted base and substituted a 40 watt compact fluorescent bulb with a small base that uses only 7 watts (very little heat and lots of light in the enclosed base). I leave the base on all the time as a night light (7W*24H*30D*.065/KWH=0.32/month) (yes, I only pay 0.065/KWH, unlimited, for electricity). I also used two 60 watt warm compact fluorescent bulbs in the top section that are turned on with two pull chains. The bulbs went into the plastic sockets without any problem. The base light is turned on with a switch on the cord and the upper part of the lamp lights with two pull chains. When this lamp is on, the colors and the light output are just amazing. This is not a little lamp, but a full size lamp that can fill up a room with light. Is this equivalent to an $800.00 Tiffany Style lamp? Yes, from 3 feet away, no if you look closer. The metal parts are just colored base metal. The glass pieces are claimed to be soldered together with copper foil. The glass connections look like black plastic. I need to do a scrape test to see if I can detect copper. The more expensive lamps use bronze to connect the pieces of glass. The shade and base are very solid and sturdy with this black material. Overall, this lamp does not compare to a high end Tiffany style lamp at $800.00, but at $127.68 this lamp is a real steal. If you are looking for a Tiffany style, blue, red, green and yellow color and light, this lamp is for you at twice the price. Another company "CK Stained Glass" is offering this lamp at $157.95 plus shipping of $4.95 plus 28lbs*$.50/pound called "Blue American Handmade Dragonfly Tiffany Style Stained Glass Table Lamp Lamps with Lit Base". The one from Amazon has a shipping weight of only 15.8lbs (very strange this weight difference). I don't know where the glass comes from (America or China), but I do know this lamp was NOT made in the US. The lamp has 400 pieces of glass, soldered together with three sockets, pull chains, small bulb and power cord and switch. The packing material (Styrofoam and cardboard plus shipping) would cost over $40.00 alone. This is another example of China building something at $.50/hour and selling below cost while undercutting our labor rates and environmental laws. We cannot compete with this type of business practice. Buy yours while you can, but when all our businesses close because they can't compete, where will we work and get the money to buy their products?

Everyone visiting my home for the first time immediately "ooohs" and "aaahs" when they see my dragonfly lamp adding how much they wish they could afford one. Needless to say, I just say "Thank you. We love it, too." Why not? They wouldn't believe me anyway if I told them I purchased it on Amazon.com. It's been almost a year now and I still am happy we chose this lamp. It's beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this lamp actually looks better than the photo. Perhaps the reason the photo doesn't do it justice is that it appears the picture was taken while the lamp was turned off. This makes the lamp look darker and greener than it appears when turned on. The lamp seems more blue and very iridescent when illuminated. This lamp is very much worth the money even without the 25 watt bulb for the lower section that was included. It is the star of the room when lit and a beautiful feature otherwise. The lamp was packed well and arrived within 3 business days. The only caveat would be that the bolts that mount the stained glass pedestal section to the metal base needed some gentle coaxing (re-alignment) before the holes in the base would line up. This was easily accomplished without the need of any tool other than fingers. For this, I would have only subtracted half a star if I could. Bottomline, if I had the room I would not hesitate to buy a couple more of these beauties.

I think this lamp was a gift for the price!! It looks really beautiful, was really easy to assemble, they well nicely packed (although one of them came full of the white stuff the use to protect it so I had to wipe it). This lamp brightens up any corner. I purchased two of them for every side of a big red velvet sofa I have and they look awesome! The only downside I would say is that now I have to decorate around them and kind of tone everything else down, also when they arrived they were cover in some kind of oily stuff... they were kind of slippery, I guess it's some kind of product they give to it to protect the material or something like that, I'm not sure but I took it as a good sign they were fresh out of the oven!!

I was surprised at the appearance of this lamp. First of all, the base is plastic.

It is also a large lamp and the shade i quite wide. I cannot tell if it looks nice

lit up, as it arrived with missing parts and cannot be assembled. It looks prettier

in the photo than it does sitting here in front of me. I would say it looks somewhat

hunky and gaudy. But as I mentioned, I cannot see it lit up.

I build automobile and railroad models as a hobby. I have a circular fluorescent magnifying lamp, but at my age I needed some extra lighting to augment what I had. At age 69 I welcome it. This excellent desk lamp has filled the bill with nice white ambient lighting. It is attractive, not too big, adjustable and doesn't take up a lot of room on my work table. The base is heavy enough so the lamp is stable and doesn't tip over. Simple assembly consists of just plugging the fluorescent tube into the lamp's socket. Very happy with it and the price was right. I love these lamps and the full spectrum light they provide. Since i searched a long time to find this item, we put extra effort to repair them.

Pro:

Full spectrum light provides near 'sun light' during dark winter days.

Good size for desk; great to use while working at a computer

Seller quickly replaced 1st lamp that developed a short and allowed me to retain the defective lamp for no additional cost.

Con:

2 lamps developed electrical shorts within a few months of use while sitting on the desk; no movement was needed for the lamp to short and turn off.

Interior wiring is defective inadequate soldering that broke loose on two lamps.

Fortunately, my husband is able to rewire items and solder.Between the two shorting lamps he was able to get enough working parts to create one lamp.

I do like the product and will buy another if we are unable to re-repair; however, I'm aware i may receive a lamp with poor soldering.

I am a med student who reads all the time, about a week after I got it, my roommate (who is in law school) ordered one and so have all of my friends who have seen it. Of all of us, of course, I got the one that only turns on half the time. BUT it is still great! It doesn't hurt my eyes like normal lamps, and I actually like the lighting so much, I thought I would try and order the other one on here that is around the same price but a different brand. That one hasn't quit working on me yet, but I still like this one better, even though technically it is uglier... less reliable... and you can't adjust as much. Why? Because when it comes down to having to read 15 hours a day, for some reason the lighting is just better and doesn't have as much glare as the other one (given this could be a difference in the lightbulb they give you), but I have found the "touch sensor" on the other lamp to be annoying. Honestly, I think mine doesn't work as well because it fell a few times :) So if you want something that is great for long hours of reading and easy on the wallet... order this one. If you want something more esthetically pleasing... order the other one. Oh and last thing, the bases are huge on these... but I set mine on a self over my desk... so if you have a small desk, you may want to look at the floor lamps instead.

I bought 3 lamps (a pendant and 2 table lamps) for our newly remodeled living room. They look great and match very nicely with the rest of our contemporary furniture. This is not your traditional lamp, it's really a piece of art. I love the fact it's hand made and painted by an artist. I have two rowan chase cypress pendants in my house and I am very happy with them. I was a little bit hesitant at first because of the strong colors but they actually create a very nice contrast with the rest of the room. My interior is light and the pendants are bringing some bright colors. I installed them lined up above my dining table which creates a nice effect.

Although the price tag is not cheap, you can tell they are quality made and the shade really feels like a painting (I guess it is the same material). The frame is metal and strong and the power cord comes with an installed plug at the end. (which I did not need as I simply mounted them with the canopy where my previous hanging lamp was).

In short, very satisfied with how this lamp played out.
