I bought 2 of these lamps. I received one while the other one was in back order. I returned the lamp that I received because it was broken and damaged because of the unproper packaging. The box was severely damaged impacting on the content (the lamp), particularly the lamp shade which was broken. Consequently, I have cancelled the purchase of both lamps. As a matter of fact, the quality of the shade did not match that of the rest of the lamp. This is the first negative transaction I had with a product bought via Amazon which provided me with the opportunity of experiencing the professionalism and excellent reaction from Amazon i.e. reimbursement of the amount in a rapid and timely manner.

This lamp is beautiful, and well made. It's everything I was looking for in terms of the mother-of-pearl and chrome finish, style, and size. I bought it for a side table in my family room, and it really completed the look of the space, exceeding my expectations! Initially, it was out of my price range, so I placed it on my wish list and waited patiently...within a few weeks the price dropped to an affordable level so I purchased it immediately (a smart move because by the next day it had reverted back to its original price). With free shipping, this is definitely one of the best purchases I've ever made.
