Poorly designed in comparison to our older Quoizel lamps. I had to take both lamps apart to get them somewhat balanced. The chimney holder is flimsy when it should be very sturdy. We had to buy four of these in order to keep two. Two came with chipped or broken chimneys. One of the boxes that arrived looked as if it had been kicked all the way to the house. That one had the broken chimney. Miraculously, no other glass parts were broken.
I would have returned the first two that arrived immediately and gone shopping at a brick and mortar site where I could clearly see the parts and how poor they were. But, my wife wanted them and was insistent about that. I have to admit they are quite nice to look at, but if you look at the offering you will see the chimney and the cover for the bottom light are perfectly aligned and plumb. I'd really like to see a representative from whoever made these align and make plumb the two we kept at my wife's insistence.
At the price we paid I should be satisfied. I'm not and I'll never again make a mistake such as this. If you're going to buy expensive lamps, I'd advise you to go somewhere that you can actually lay your hands on the lamps.
My wife is satisfied, but I'm certainly not. I'm disgusted with them.I agree with other reviews. Much better than the picture. Well worth the money. I'll pass this lamp on to my children.
