The lamp is indeed beautiful, very heavy, and just what I'd hope it would be except that the compact flourescent light bulb that came with it is too big for the harp. One of the reasons I bought this lamp is that it has a 3-way switch. I have a 13W CFL in the lamp now, and there's no room for a larger watt bulb that has a bigger base. So this is disappointing, but I'll probably keep the lamp. It's certainly better than what I had!!
