Initially we bought the 19" Conoco CONOCO Piano Lamp Portable 19" LED Piano Lamp, Black w/Brass Accent. That lamp, because of its design, (and the design of our Yamaha C3 music bench) would not illuminate the entire sheet of music from top to bottom unless the shade was adjusted (rotated) out...and then the LEDs shined directly into our eyes. Instead of simply returning the lamp, we called Conoco customer service and found out what a great company this is. After explaining the issue to the tech, he immediately suggested two other solutions for us: a 14" lamp with a gooseneck arm between the lamp and clamp, and this 22" lamp, where the radius of the attachment arms is about twice that of the 19" lamp. We chose this one and can only say "wow!"

Not only is the lamp more suitable because of the attachment arm radius, it also has a height adjustment which we've set to accommodate some of the larger page-size, antique sheet music pieces we use. The light quality and quantity is superb and because of the design of this model, it also illuminates the keyboard, without any light overflow into our eyes. We absolutely, without reservation, recommend this lamp!

One final word about Conoco: not only was the customer service tech helpful in understanding and suggesting solutions to our issue with the first lamp, he went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. After making the decision to try this lamp, the first question he asked was "how can WE do this?" I suggested going back through Amazon. His comment was that if we needed any additional help, to just call him. Overall, a very satisfying customer experience.

I have been a piano teacher for over 50 years and during that time have tried various types of lighting for my piano studio. With the exception of overhead lighting, which I used in my former studio, the Conoco Lamp which I purchased on the recommendation from one of my student's parents (he had purchased one and was delighted with it) is by far the best lamp I have ever used. This lamp is everything you could want in a piano lamp. It is a great-looking and very well-designed lamp. It will look beautiful on any piano. The light is very even and plentiful without being harsh. The lamp can be adjusted easily to the perfect position on your piano. I actually feel that I have more energy for practicing than before, because I don't have to strain at all to see the music perfectly.

The lamp is definitely worth the price. It appears to be of very high quaility.

One tip -when you clip the lamp onto your music stand for the first time, make sure the metal on the outside doesn't bump your music stand, or it could scratch. Be sure that only the padded part inside the clip touches the piano. This is easy to do; just take your time when installing it.

Firstly, the lamp is stylish and efficient looking with a black matte finish base and tubular gunmetal brushed stainless curved arm. The shade is a frosted plastic, lightweight enough to keep from tipping easily.

The LED light has a 250 lumen output which is comparable to a 40-watt light, however, because the light stream is concentrated, it appears brighter. I design jewelry and have been using a goose neck lamp with a 60-watt incandescent bulb; the Energizer Task Light is brighter and better. The color of the light is a pleasing neutral, midway between the yellowish color of an incandescent bulb and the blue of fluorescent light. Even better, the light uses a fraction of the wattage of an incandescent bulb.

While the neck is stationary, the shade can move for best positioning at the work station. The base has a small footprint that leaves maximum space for work projects and at 19 inches high, it stands tall enough to be out of the way for close work. Also, there is a high-low brightness setting. Add this functionality to the sleek design and you have a alight that is useful and looks good anywhere. Of added importance is the six-foot cord has a standard plug which doesn't take up extra space if used in a power strip. The Energizer LED Task Light receives top ratings from this reviewer.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My original review was for 5 stars, I loved this light...while it worked that is. After little more than a month the LED in my light got very dim and finally quit working. It said on the brochure that the LED never needs replaced. This worked great while it worked but, for the price it shouldn't have quit this soon! Perhaps I received a faulty one, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Original review: This task light is sleek and small enough that it will fit in the smallest of spaces. I use mine for reading, writing. clipping coupons and numerous other tasks that I want to see details. I was very surprised by the amount of light that this LED light puts out. When I looked at the size of the LED I didn't think it would put out that much light. It's really quite nice. I also like the way the lamp is arched, it makes it a great reading light as, you can shine it directly onto your book.

The only thing I didn't like about this lamp is that it's a bit difficult to move the LED head exactly where you want it, say you want to move it a fourth of an inchI found it was hard to tilt up and down in small amounts.

Other than that, it's a great light.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Even tho the ENERGIZER HOUSEHOLD LED TASK LIGHT is marketed as a "work Light", I've found the styling and design makes it look great in my "library". The arc on that crome arm that holds the light, has the grace and simplicity I enjoy in industrial design. As for the dual wattage LED light, its perfect. For one thing, it gives you the two wattages most needed in this type of lamp. The lower setting is about 35 watts, great for reading, or mood. The higher setting appears to be about 50 watts, so if you are drawing, painting, or building seven robot brides for seven robot brothers, you'll see what you are doing. The LED light is marketed as being PURE WHITE, whereas incadescent bulbs tend to be yellowish, and florescent bulbs have blue/green overtones. When creating art in color, LED light illuminates a piece without changing its color characteristics.

The HEAD swivels omnidirectionally, so if you need a spot directed somewhere, this works really well. I cant count how many times I've lit my face, or someone else's face, to draw a portrayt, and couldnt get the light to hit exactly where I needed it. This light can solve that problem. Also, unlike when you have a bright incadescent light near a painting for ultra detail work, you cant burn your arm on an LED light bulb. (I did that, and still have the scar.) One of the best qualities of an LED lamp is ITS LOW CARBON FOOTPRINT. No electricity is wasted creating heat, so you save money over other lighting options. Without a doubt, florescent corkscrew bulbs are a transitory light source, until LED lights becomes the norm. Unlike those corkscrew bulbs, LEDs generate no hazards in disposal. In the next few years, you'll be seeing these types of lamps everywhere. I'm totally happy with this light, both for reading, and for artwork.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is one of the best designed desk lamps that I came across in a long time. If you are looking for a good desk/task lamp, consider this product.

1. DESIGN: The lamp is tall (from base to the top is about 19"). This is excellent if you are reading over a big book, working on model (planes/toys) or using a big laptop. Also because the neck is curved out, you will have an ample room for you to work without hitting the lamp. The neck is also stationary, that is, it is not adjustable. In my opinion, this is a good thing. I had one lamp that had an adjustable neck, and it always cave down. So this is an excellent design.

2. STURDINESS: The whole lamp screams "quality." The base is heavy and very solid, the neck is metallic and sturdy. The lamp casing is also made of high quality & thick plastic. The large base doesn't wobble because of its heaviness. The head of the lamp moves up and down without being loose, so it stays on its position.

3. LIGHT: The lamp has 2 settings Low and High. "Low" setting is good enough brightness to do almost anything that does not require intensity of light (ie, reading, using a laptop, etc). The "High" setting is good for if you are working on model toys and planes. I for one, found high setting very useful as I disassemble and reassemble a notebook to fix things and there are many small parts in the notebook.

All in all, the design is beautiful attractive, and practical. The quality is top notch. And the light setting is very useful for everything that you do on your desk. Highly, highly recommended.

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of light this lamp puts out. It's not overly radiant, it keeps the focus tight on your work area, and the clean white shade is ideal for most tasks. The lamp itself is stylish and modern, I think it would work with most modern office spaces. It certainly looks great on my computer desk.

My major gripes with it are that the neck isn't adjustable and that the base/shade are made of plastic instead of something more substantial. They should've been for the cost, but since it's an LED light, you'd be paying a higher price anyways.

Pricey for what it is, but it works.

KNG Lionel Train Lamp Review

Despite the fact that this lamp looks solid and classic (looks like a real wooden base in the photo with a glass shade), it is actually 100% plastic. We have had it for 7 months and I would not buy it again, nor would I recommend it to anyone with children. The lamp makes a low crackling sound for several minutes after we shut it off, like it settling down after getting too hot (though the bulb we use is the wattage specified by the manufacturer). I never feel very safe when this thing is on, and certainly won't ever leave it unattended or on for too long. Cheap plastic construction.

Several years ago, my wife bought me two different Lionel train lamps at a local Lowes store (way cheaper than what is listed here). After a short while (less than a year), nothing worked on either lamp ~ neither the light nor the operating train. Made of pure, cheap plastic with parts that probably burn through (I purposely used low wattage lights to make sure the lamps didn't overheat but they still burned out WAY TOO SOON). BUYER BEWARE unless you have the tools and know-how to carefully break open plastic components & rewire/replace with lamp parts that will actually last. This is not a knock against these Amazon sellers; the product itself looks sharp but is poorly contructed due to cheap, electrical parts.

Problem: Amazon write-up on it when I purchased it indicted that it would handle 15-amp loads, but when I got it, I found that it will handle just a bit over one-half of that.

Advantages: Electric (motor) timers power draw is actually enormous, overall since that little motor in them is running 24/7/365 and you can feel the heat generated by them and they lose their timing schedule with a power outage. This timer is all electronic and has a back-up battery thus, taking almost no power to operate and keeps it's timing cycle after power outages. After replacing 3 electric timers with these, a measurable drop in KWH was noted making it a good "green" device.

Other: Once you get used to the programming and over-ride sequences required, it's easy to use.

We've tried other timers but they often cost a lot more and have less features. Like most products mass produced in 3rd world countries, there will be a couple out of 100+ that aren't perfect. Good luck trying to find an alternate product that has a built-in rechargeable battery backup so you don't loose the programming in case of a power failure. 20 program on-off's, daily, weekly, m-w-f, mtwtf, sat-sun. Easy to program, easy to read and no dip switchs to loose. For the money, you can't get a better timer. It works great with our RedyTemp whole house no-wait hot water optimizer.

I purchased 2. One recently died after 3 years. The other is still working. I guess you can't beat a cost of $4 a year. It was a bit difficult to program, but once I managed to do it, I left it alone. I would like a random on/off feature. I have some lamp timers by Dynascan that are, believe it or not, over 30 years old and they still work! They randomly alter the on /off time during a 15 minute time frame, so I might try the GE random as a replacement. If not for wanting the random feature, I would buy this timer again.

This dimmer cord helps for those lamps which don't dim on their own and one does not have a dimmer wall switch. I have about five of these in my home. All have worked well with no problems over the years. However, there is one thing that I would strongly point out. Not all of these dimmer cords have a light on the dimmer box. I accidently got one without the light and it makes it difficult to find in the dark. The light is turned on at the dimmer box and if there is no light on the box to tell you where it is in the dark room, it can be hard to find. This problem is solved if one makes sure that the dimmer box has a small light on it. The second thing that needs to be mentioned is that the outlet plug (into which the lamp plug needs to be inserted) is oriented perpendicular to the wall. If one has a lamp which has a similar outlet plug then with that lamp plug inserted in the dimmer plug which is inserted into the wall, the whole plug component is sticking about 4-6 inches out from the wall. If the outlet plug is behind a bookcase or furniture, this can be a problem. Even with a lamp plug that is flat, it will stick out several inches. Make sure there is enough space between the wall outlet and what is covering this unsightly mix of plugs and cords.

I agree with everything in the other review as far as this being an indispensible item for new parents. I also used it to turn on the light for midnight feedings so I could keep it low and the baby would go back to sleep. The absolutely noiseless turn off on the dimmer made sure my daughter didn't wake up again at the end of the feeding.

I don't really have much to say about this dimmer, because I have had two of them for years and they always work exactly as they should; nothing more, nothing less. I gave them 5 stars because they are simply excellent. I bought some other dimmers, prior to these, and they had problems. I love it when stuff works the way it should and does not have any problems. Maybe it seems silly to write such a long review for a little dimmer, but they are not so easy to find around town, and when I buy something like this online, I worry a bit. These dimmers are solid, and I would buy more if I needed them. Someone wrote a bad review, saying it broke soon after buying it; but that's probably a very isolated incident, which can happen to just about anything, even the best.

While the lamps in the picture appeared to be nice, I will never know how nice they might be. I placed my order on March 17 and received a response that I should have them between March 26th and 29th. I had guests coming around that time and I was redecorating my family room, so I thought they would be perfect. On March 28th, I received an email from Home and Living, telling me that the lamps were on back-order until MAY 31st!!! They offered a meager 10% discount for the inconvenience. Since my guests were arriving on the 30th, I did not have time to go shopping for lamps and had to "make do" with the lamps I already had. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and cancelled the order. If I had received a notification of the back order sooner, I would have had time to go out and find some lamps locally. I will never order from this company again and I would advise anyone else not to order unless you have two or three months to wait around for what you need. You might be better off buying from another seller, or finding what you need locally. I hope which ever way you go, you'll have better success than I did.

I had ordered these lamps and I unpacked them (they were packaged great) the first lamp I plugged in was fine I went to plug in the other one and sparks went flying I knew it was not my plug in because I had a lamp plugged in the socket before so I tried another socket same thing. The stopper is cute... but I was expecting the box to be about the same size.. it isn't. It is HUGE and you open it up and there is this tiny stopper. The box is more than 5 times larger than the stopper. I also didn't realize that it is a flashing stopper. Thought it just lit up. Hoping there is a setting you can pick for just on. Cute idea just badly executed. Was extremely disappointed with how much I spent on something done so badly.

So I purchased this item a while back... and have just been way to busy to review it right away. But here it is. I got this because I did my 2 year old's room toy story and though this would be perfect. it looks just as the picture and is adorable... but I plugged it up and the light did not come on. I changed the bulb and nothing still. I put it away in the closet with the intention of returning but never got around to it being how much I work... and so now that I am home for my 2nd pregnancy I went to return it and the little hand is missing... so I guess my toddler got a hold of it. Love the lamp! It is the perfect addition to our contemporary condo. The shade is more white than beige which was what I had hoped. It was a little challenging to assemble due to poor instructions. Would highly recommend.

can use a 3-way bulb which is great for reading/paperwork etc. Looks countryish but not cheap. Excellant price for real wood and shade. I wanted a simple lamp for my nightstand but not one of thise cheapo's from walmart or freds that have plastic lampshade and only do 40 watt bulb. This does not look cheap and I am thinking about purchasing 2 more. Prime 2 day shipping/u can't beat it. Thanks Lite Source and Amazon.
