If you can spin these and not have them touch or hit anything AT ALL, then these are really great especially because they have 6 different modes. Otherwise they are just great for appearal or for young children. IF YOU ARE BEGINNING POI AND WANT CHEAP L.E.D.'s TO SPIN, DONT GET THESE. They will break on the first hard impact. Spend that extra money for flowlights or something more durable.

I guess it would be great for kids. I didn't buy it for that
purpose , however. Rather small. I would not buy any
more. But, it could work with children.

These glow wands are awesome. They've survived some concerts and raves where they were worked hard and the batteries still haven't died. The strings they come on are a little cheesy but otherwise great product.
