Just purchased the 2nd one. I had bought the first light at a local store. Liked it so much that after a couple of months I ordered the 2nd one from Amazon and than read the poor reviews. Am surprised about these reviews as I found it easy to set up, arm is sturdy and moves easily exactly the way one would want it to move. I am very satisfied and havent found anything wrong with it. Perfect size and have one on each side of a L shaped Sofa. Very unobtrusive and can sit in the corner of the sofa and have more than enough light to read without distrurbing others who might be viewing TV in the dark. Looks very nice as well.

I need a bright light to read at night, so I purchased this lamp to replace a LED floor lamp I was using, but that wasn't as bright as I wanted. This lamp is attractive but had two drawbacks, The first was that it had a "UV" filter over the bulb. This filter resulted in the light having a definite yellow cast. This color, plus the fact that the bulb was only 40 watts resulted in a very weak light. The second problem is the lamp is short compared to others I have had. This resulted in a low (or flatter) angle over the reading material, which further weakened the brightness of the light. It was simply not what I needed.

I am very satisfied with the lamp head itself and with the range of mobility of the lamp head. However, the pole (tube) that runs from the base up to the lamp head doesn't tighten enough to feel stable. My lamp is sort of wedged between the wall and the couch, so it is not problematic at the moment, but when I tried to put it elsewhere in the room, it was not stable.

I expected more for the price.

When I ordered this lamp, I was concerned that the 3 watt LED bulb would not provide adequate light for me to read in bed. I also wanted it to offer directional control so that the light would not bother my wife. When I saw the small box the lamp arrived in, I thought I had made a mistake--the lamp would be too small to provide the amount of light I wanted. As I was connecting the lamp plug to the electrical outlet and the clamp to the headboard, I wondered why I was even bothering to test it. I'm glad I did!

The light is surprisingly bright and certainly meets my needs. It emits an intense white color compared to an incandescent soft white light bulb that I find can have a yellow tinge. Its compact size enables it to fit into the decor without standing out. The lamp is sturdy. Its clip grips tightly and will attach to whatever, as long as it is not more than one and one quarter inch wide. The lamp shade is small and stays cool unless left on for a long time. After a couple of hours it will heat up but I have not felt it emanating heat or becoming dangerous to touch briefly. The on-off switch is located on the cord near the clip.

While somewhat expensive, I am pleased with this light.

I was looking for a small unobtrusive reading light for my headboard. This turns out to be the perfect choice. Beam can be directed so as not to disturb your partner. If I had a negative and it is a very small one, the unit gets a little bit hot to the touch over time. Solution don't touch the hood. :).

Problem: Amazon write-up on it when I purchased it indicted that it would handle 15-amp loads, but when I got it, I found that it will handle just a bit over one-half of that.

Advantages: Electric (motor) timers power draw is actually enormous, overall since that little motor in them is running 24/7/365 and you can feel the heat generated by them and they lose their timing schedule with a power outage. This timer is all electronic and has a back-up battery thus, taking almost no power to operate and keeps it's timing cycle after power outages. After replacing 3 electric timers with these, a measurable drop in KWH was noted making it a good "green" device.

Other: Once you get used to the programming and over-ride sequences required, it's easy to use.

Easiest thing I have ever setup.

Press and hold time while pressing hour, etc. Doesn't get any easier.

I got this for turning on/off a lamp.

Place in bottom outlet and you can still use the top one. Great design.

I haven't had it long so I hope it holds up for my 5 stars...

We've tried other timers but they often cost a lot more and have less features. Like most products mass produced in 3rd world countries, there will be a couple out of 100+ that aren't perfect. Good luck trying to find an alternate product that has a built-in rechargeable battery backup so you don't loose the programming in case of a power failure. 20 program on-off's, daily, weekly, m-w-f, mtwtf, sat-sun. Easy to program, easy to read and no dip switchs to loose. For the money, you can't get a better timer. It works great with our RedyTemp whole house no-wait hot water optimizer.

I purchased 2. One recently died after 3 years. The other is still working. I guess you can't beat a cost of $4 a year. It was a bit difficult to program, but once I managed to do it, I left it alone. I would like a random on/off feature. I have some lamp timers by Dynascan that are, believe it or not, over 30 years old and they still work! They randomly alter the on /off time during a 15 minute time frame, so I might try the GE random as a replacement. If not for wanting the random feature, I would buy this timer again.

The ability to adjust the height and angle of the shade are important with this lamp because the CFL bulb (not included) is as long as the shade. It is uncomfortable to use, like having a flashlight shined in your eyes. I like the looks and design so I kept it, will look for a longer shade.

The overhead light in the room with my computer was just not enough light. I looked for weeks and finally decided on Adesso-Eos. There is no assembly other than removing the wrap. The goose-neck allows me to place the lamp behind my larger computer flat screen, not interfere with the screen view and it illuminates the entire keyboard and 6-8 inches beyond on all sides. This was what I was looking for. Just perfect. Glare, just move it around. No extra heat. Easy on-off switch. I have only had this lamp a couple of weeks, but I see no down side at all.

Discount Waterford Blue Bell 16-1/2-Inch Accent Lamp

I love this little lamp. I gave one as a gift and just bought one for us. The base is quite heavy, as you might expect with Waterford, and the trim is a nice brushed gold/brass--not real shiny (which is how it appears in the picture). The shade is silky and smooth and more of a taupe color (perfect for us) as opposed to how it looks in this picture which is more of a rust color. The recommended 60-watt energy-saving bulb fit quite snugly into the shade brackets and there's no nut that screws onto the top, so getting the shade level was very easy. It puts off nice, diffused light and seems to have a good-quality switch that's mounted onto the cord. So far, this has been an excellent purchase! Watch the prices/sellers as it seems to vary between a little over two bills on the low end and upwards of five bills on the other.

I purchased this lamp, thinking that it had the look and colors I desired. I didn't necessarily want it for a child's room. What disappointed me is that the maximum wattage is 25 watts! (a mere night lamp!). Wattage is not listed in product description (as is any!) I have chosen to keep this lamp using a 40 watt bulb hoping it doesn't catch fire. My bad.

Product description was lacking. Tell us that there is a 25 watt limit!!

Attractive lamp with 3 drawbacks: 1. Clip-on smaller shade has fragile metal clip that bends and breaks. Had to return first one.

2. Lamp can only be positioned in one direction due to exiting wire. If buying for 2 nightstands, lamps will both face in one direction unless you don't mind protruding wire on one.

3. Smaller shade does not sit uniformly creating a wider space in center curve than near ends, that exposes inner metal pole.

Just came in. Only 2 days for delivery. Out of box in perfect condition. Taller than I thought but is great for our space. Bit of an asian flare which is what we wanted. Like the night light option. Switch is located under the shade. Bottom is foam covered so we did not need to add any pads to prevent from scratching our table top.

Don't buy it! Not worth the money. The design was great and I really wanted to keep it, but it is made so poorly, it's not even as good as a $20 Ikea lamp. Parts were superglued on and falling off when it arrived, though there was zero damage to the packaging. Dings on the face and knob. Cheap metal. And when I plugged it in it didn't even work. It's outrageous how much they charged for this lamp.

The large shade fits a 75 watt-equivalent CFL nicely, and the finish on the fixture is beautiful. After buying many lighting fixtures for our new 4,000 sqft house I have found all commodity lighting (bought in stores and online) is light-weight stuff made in China, no matter how much you pay. The $200 "high-end brand" equivalent of this fixture is not made one bit better.

This lamp looks very good but I was disappointed that there was no on/off switch on the cord itself. The only way to turn it on and off is with the knob on the face plate and this requires me to stand up (it's a bedside lamp) every time I want to turn it on and off. It could be much imporved with a clicker switch on the cord. Other than that I am pleased.

I really wanted the stainless steel one but it was out everywhere so we went with this one which was the same just black. The carton is pretty generic I was kind of surprised by that but it arrived on time and everything was there. It wasn't difficult to install as it had a backplate to screw to the wall. We did however have to countersink the screws because when we fastened the light it was not on there tight. This took a few minutes to do but in the end it was up and doing the job. It puts out great light and looks great all in all I love this light there is only one thing that I don't like about it and that is that the shut-off switch is at the base of the lamp instead of the cord and as I mounted this over a kitchen sink I have to unplug it from the wall to shut it off, hence the four stars. It's really hard to find a light for over your kitchen sink when you have to cupboard to attach it to and the wall is all you have to do that with. I would recommend this light to others. Looks way awesome.

I purchased this lamp and the matching floor lamp. They were easy to assemble and are a nice heavy weight. The lamps are quite beautiful as are the shades. There really is not much more to say. They are lamps and do what they are supposed to do. Even though I looked at the measurements prior to purchasing I was some what surprised at how short they both were compared to the lamps they were replacing but after having them for about a month I have gotten used to that. I didn't give them 5 stars because I feel the price was a bit higher than it should have been.
