This a cute lamp. There are three lighting levels plus off. It is not overly bright, ideal for next to the bed, and those times that you don't need to light up the entire room. It is elegant and very easy to turn on. My cat even gets a kick out of turning it on. He has actually woken me up in the middle of the night by turning it on to the brightest level.

I loved the look of this lamp online. It has a beautiful shade with soft floral glass panels.

The product arrived in a timely manner. When I opened the box, I was surprised to find so many different pieces. The description said "simple assembly is required". Included in the box were the lamp base, metal shade with open panels, glass panels, nuts, bolts, and plastic rings, glass bulbs, and metal rods for attaching lamp shade to base.

To me, this was not simple assembly. I started following the instructions to begin attaching the glass panels to the openings in the lamp shade's metal framework. At the top of each panel is a hole that needs to fit into the hole at the top of the frame. The bottom of the glass panel fits inside a holder at the base that closes on either side with metal clips.

As I placed the first panel inside, I lined up the hole in the glass with the hole in the top of the frame. I attached the plastic rings inside the glass hole. Then I needed to line up the glass to the hole in the top of the framework while getting the bottom of the panel to slide into its holder. This was not easy. When everything was aligned, I put the bolt through the plastic ring working from the inside of the shade to the finished outside. I then attached the nut. Now I had one panel completed.

As I worked on the second panel, I had a harder time aligning top and bottom. As I was working on the fitting, a piece of the glass snapped off at the top. I was not pressing that hard. I think it was the distortion of the framework. My husband tried again using another panel, but the same thing happened.

I am very disappointed,not only in workmanship of the lamp,but also in the product's description of "simple assembly required". It's too bad because this was a pretty lamp.

I love the lamp. Easy to operate by the side of the bed. It is very pretty in design and the lovely flowers on it.

I have had almost the exact same lamps for over 20 years and these were a great replacement. I remember assembling the first ones and these were really even easier. I hope that they last as long as the ones I had before. I love having the touch feature in my bedroom and the 3 different levels of lighting.
