I ordered 2 of these beautiful lamps for my bedroom. There are two bulbs with a chain switch for each bulb. I use 2 small 40 watt clear bulbs. When both bulbs are on there is plenty of light. With one bulb on it gives a dimmer effect but still plenty of light. I was concerned when I received the shippment because both boxes were badly damaged and one was actually wet. It was so wet, the lamp was also damp. I thought about returning them on the spot. I'm glad I didn't. I washed the shades in warm soapy water, dried the base and made sure the sockets were completely dry. I love the lamps and they work just fine.

The lamp itself was mostly as described on the website, however when it arrived it had no protective outer box and was shipped in the flimsy cardboard box that it came in. When I opened it the bottom was broken in half. Also the lamp comes not assembled. The globe is somewhat yellow which I didn't expect. I returned it.
