This lamp is a bit expensive for the category that it is in. However, it is quite beautiful and much more elegant than the accompanying photo wood indicate. While I can't speak for the other finishes, the cherry rosewood choice is very striking. This is more mood lighting than practical lighting for a room, but if you are trying to create an elegant Asian feel, you can't go wrong here. For the quality level, it's a bit pricey, but aesthetically I am very satisfied.

Its a pretty enough piece at a distance, however soon as i took it out of the box it was obvious how poorly it was constructed and of what cheap materials. Its very cheap looking within 5ft or so. i got 2 of them as gifts if i cant return them then i will simply throw them away.

These were a gift to my mother for her birthday she had some older ones Shoji Japanese Latterns which were black, the kids polked wholes into the rice paper, which ruined them. Grandchildren for you... I bought 3 to replace for my mother, she loved them.

They were very easy to assemble, from the outside they are perfect, from the inside I noticed some flaws. But no one would know or see... Definite wonderful buy, very nice quality...
