My wife ordered this lamp for her grandmother and we received it in 4 business days. We put the lamp together and noticed that one of the panels was broken, so my wife contacted the seller and 3 days later we received 3 replacement panels without any problems. I purchased two of these lamps. I wanted lamps that had a 3-way switch that took 150 watt bulbs. My living room is dark and I wanted something that would be really bright. These are very nice lamps and that shades are a nice shape. The only problem was one of the shades was not packed very well and it arrived crushed in several places. My husband tried to fix it and did, except when the lamp is turned on you can see where it was creased. The second lamp was packed really well and the shade arrived in perfect shape. Overall I'm pleased with this purchase.

A basic, utilitarian lamp that doesn't add or detract from a basic room. Getting the darned thing unpacked can drive you crazy and I found it impossible to get all the Styrofoam off the cord. Still, for the price, not bad.

This package came without the important piece which connects the lamp to the clamp device. Conveniently for me, my sister had recently upgraded a reptile tank to one which didn't require her former clamp and I was able to use that to make it work--otherwise I would have had to either return the product or search for compatible pieces in hardware stores. The product otherwise is satisfactory.

I bought this lamp for photography purposes. I live in the uk and didn't realise the two pin plug contacted amazon to find right plug adapter for UK and am still trying to solve this problem. very frustrating. I still cannot use this lamp!! one pin in wider than the other at the tip so finding an adapter is extremely difficult. make sure you have the adapter before buying and if you do find it let me know please

Update 3/13/13 The 2 I bought are still working fine and have been plugged in since I bought them. They have been in continual use since delivery in 2009.

I purchased this unit after trying many, many, many different types of night lights for elderly parents, one with Alzheimer's. Because my dad has advanced Alzheimer's and we care for him at home it is necessary that we have a night light that turns on and lights well enough for him to get out of bed in the middle of the night and walk safely. This has a night light built in AND a plug in for another stronger lamp to light up the room which triggers along with the sensor.

All of the other night lights I've tried are simply too weak, die too quickly, or have the plugs not face the correct direction in the wall sockets. In frustration I tried this unit and it seems to have alleviated all of those problems.

We rigged it nearer to where he gets out of bed and plugged in a good night lamp that is bright enough to light the room but not bright enough to wake my mother. This unit works perfectly for that. It does have a night light attached but it is not bright enough for my dad which is why the plug in for the lamp on this unit is perfect. This will probably be the last night light I'll have to get since it finally affords the amount of light needed for my father to see well enough to get around his room at night. I am pleased with this and very happy with the results. We've had no incidents with him walking into things at night ever since we got this. Prior to that we had sensor night lights in every socket and not one of those really helped. This is finally something we can count on for his safety.

Update 1/25/2013: The lights are still working perfectly as they were still new. We still keep the lamps plugged in but now they are for mom and I helping change dad at night. He's not been ambulatory or able to control functions any longer but he's still with us and still appears to be running very well (relatively speaking) just like these lights I got and am reviewing and still praising. These lights have been in use every day and night since they arrived in the house years ago. You absolutely cannot go wrong with these based on my experience after buying 2 units.

After some initial confusion re operation parameters, I found the sensor works quite well. I was initially confused because the sensor did not seem to work properly, then I realized it apparently has an ambient light sensor which prevents it from switching on & off when the ambient light is above a certain level (i.e., you can see). The night light is nice and can be folded down if you don't want to use it. I purchased the sensor because my mother is elderly and frequently gets up in the middle of the night. The sensor works quite well turning a light on & off using user preset timer options. Be careful not to buy an "occupancy" sensor unless that is specifically what you want. I wanted something which would turn off the light even when my mother was in the room, but not moving around, and this does the job perfectly.

it works as long the power to the outlet this item is connected to did not get cut like in power outages in neighborhood. After an outage, this item is useless. Motion sensor mechanism will cease to function. Good for paper weight. If you also have an outlet that is controlled by a switch, for shutting power off -it will render this uSwitch useless. It died twice and I have to get replacements.

I ordered two lamps, one football and one baseball, for our boy's room.

They came partially unassembled but packaged well. The assembly was easy but the upright post did not line up perfectly when screwed in. Not a big deal and no one will notice except the person that puts it together.

It is rated for 60watt max bulb. The bulb sits on top of the shade bracket. (some lamps have the shade on top of the bulb. This might prevent you from using a larger CFL bulb which would probably stick out from the top of the shade.

Both shades had brown trim so they look nice together. They are maybe a little taller than a cereal box but not by much.

Price seems about right for the quality.

This lamp is nice but not as nice as it looked in the pictures. It does appear to be good quality. Lamp arrived very quickly but arrived in questionable shape. Luckily the lamp was bubble wrapped and it did not break but the shade was marked and damaged. The post office had put a note on the package saying that it "arrived damaged" and I hesitated opening it, however it was halfway open anyway (yes, I could see my order half way hanging out of the box). As far as the item goes, it is just ok. I don't think it was my best purchase.

My eleven year old granddaughter LOVED the lamp! It is a great size and I really liked the finish used on the ball, shoes and whistle...I was expecting to see a perfect white and black ball, but all items looked like they had been "used: ... which is what they really should look like. One of the shoes had come loose so i glued it back on which is why i gave it 4 stars.

What can I say about this lampshade that it doesn't say about itself? It is a lampshade. It's square and each side is 12 inches long. The faux silk material is pleated as shown in the picture, looks very classy.

I bought this shade to top a custom lamp base that I made as a gift for a family member. For only $36 I would absolutely buy this again for another project or to replace a shade in my own home.

I think he likes the iPOD attachments. It plays OK but not going to give that BIG BASS.

It does not charge but my kids charge their iPOD on the computer so no so big a deal.

The organizer holds lots of little stuff like pens, pencils and other stuff you might need doing homework.

It plugs in to the wall and is very convenient!

When I first opened the iHome, it looked pretty cool. It's very modern. Some of the things I disliked were that the touch sensitive light switch was hard to use as it didn't recognize my finger, and it usually takes me about 5 seconds to turn the light on and off. I didn't find the dimming feature until I experimented with it a little bit more. There is a little hole next to the stem of the light for storing the audio jack, which is cool, but if the cord is pugged in without a music player plugged in the other end, it makes a buzzing noise. The stand is very convenient if the headphone jack is on the top of your device, otherwise, it won't stand up. Overall, it's a pretty solid device. I would recommend it for anyone looking for good value and a modern, colorful look.

I love the brightness of the light...really illuminates my workspace, yet can be turned off with one touch.

But it's so versatile...because the gooseneck is easily adjustable, you can also shine the light on your face for tweezing or make makeup!

As far as the sound goes by plugging in your iphone or ipad, or ipod, I think it's great for this tiny workhorse. However, it won't charge your device so it can run low fairly quickly because of that but because of the way it plugs in, I actually think it offers better sound. (as though you are plugging in earphones)

It's on my desk at all times...it is amazing how a little light helps your work station but the fact that it doubles as a music player and pen and pencil holder make it a perfect desk mate.

The goose neck is very convenient allowing me to get the light just where I need it. The light quality & color is very good in a focused area. It is not suitable for room lighting.

The on/off touch feature is not always as sensitive as I'd like. It took too long to learn how to use. It is not as sensitive as the pretty little glass touch lamps I had in the past. I have found that the easiest way to get mine to work with one touch is to quickly clamp the head of the light between my thumb & fingers & then let go.

The audio feature is not as perfect as the manufacture would like you to believe. It doesn't provide "...full depth, clarity and power" However, it does the trick if you are using the lamp to work by. The volume is loud enough & the quality is good enough. This isn't a sound system after all! I find it very useful for listening to my iPod. The little caddy is great for storing small items. Currently I've been using it to hold my cell phone & various pens & pencils. Everything is right there when I need it.

My biggest peeve is that it is a noisy energy vampire. When a device is not hooked up to the little cord & with the lamp on or off it hums. It is very annoying. In order to not hear the hum you have two options: 1. Remove the little cord from the lamp entirely or 2. Unplug the lamp from the socket or turn off your power strip depending on what method you use.

Please note that this lamp does NOT charge your device.

While I don't care for the somewhat cheap looking plastic, I love what it can do. Overall I'm pretty happy with this little lamp & do not regret owning it.

1. The light part is nice.

2. The speakers are ok if you get this unit for $39, but a bit of a rip-off if you pay the full $79.

3. The plastic looks very cheap.

4. The set up you have to do by plugging in a small cord from your ipod's earplug port to the back of the light is awkward for ipods that have the jack on the bottom.

5. Why didn't they include a USB port and cable so that your ipod/ipad could be recharging or at least plugged in and not using its battery?

6. The tap function of the light is nice.

Bottom line: I think there are better products out there.

The lamp is sturdy with a fairly heavy base for the size of the unit. It puts out a nice bright light and the iPod/iPad/MP3 player fits in a little pull out that slides from the base of the lamp. The ipod is connected to the lamp with a jack that fits in the iPod and connects to the back of the lamp. The sound is all right for the size of the unit. My daughters really like this lamp/speaker. I think it would be a nice treat for a college student or a kid who would like another option for their music aside from their earbuds. It's a spacesaver for someone who has a small desk. Personally, I like the lamp, it's a bright LED light.

My kids don't mind that it doesn't charge because they use a usb cable connected to a PC to charge, so this isn't a big deal for them. They like the fact that it's a decent speaker that has a dual purpose with the lamp. I think it's an innovative product for college/high school kids because they can put it on their desk, use the lamp for homework and keep their pens in the base where there are compartments for pens and stuff and listen to music. For adults, it works well for crafting and listening to books. The lamp turns off and on with a tap to the top. This is a nice gadget to dress up a desk because it's multifunctional and comes in different bright colors.

If you are looking for a real docking station for your iPod/iPad, this one will not charge, which may be disappointing, but many iHome products don't charge. My 13 year old especially likes this lamp so maybe it is geared towards kids, but like I said the light is good for crafting and the little speaker works well, so this could appeal to adults as well who just need a decent lamp and speaker. It's different, but does have a certain appeal.
