I love this lamp. You don't really find such an expensive-taste-looking lamp around for this small price. It really gives the feeling of a classy and modern environment. It looks good with black/white living room designs. I wish there was a dimmer connected to the cable, but unfortunately there is not one, so you can only switch it on/off by stepping on the switch.

Very easy to assemble. It took me just 15 minutes.

This lamp is beautiful! I had originally bought it for the living room, but when I assembled it, it turned out to be shorter than I had imagined, so I put it in the bedroom instead & it's perfect. It's almost like a piece of art.

This, imo, is a beautiful lamp, with nice modern/contemporary styling, and with just enough heaviness to make it feel like good quality. I bought it because I like its looks, the modernity of the shape of the shade, and its brushed steel finish. The three way feature is very nice, and it is very easy to put together. The cord is sufficient but could be a bit longer. The only disappointment I have with it, is that it does not have brushed steel finish as stated, but instead a shiny, mirror like chrome finish, which is, although not prohibitive for me in terms of matching my decor, inferior imo to that of brushed steel . This error is made in all representations of this lamp, by the variuous companies that sell it. Just beware of this when considering this lamp for your living or bedroom.

I ordered two of these lamps for my office. The shades were cheap and had flaws and the bases have a green antiquing, one was "greener" than the other, but they sit across the room from each other so it isn't too noticeable. I had to tweak the shades to sit straight on the lamp. Over all they are okay.

I purchased this lamp for our entry table, and it is the perfect size and shape. It's not too formal, and although the shade is a linen white, with the bulb on, it glows more of an off-white, like in the photo. The base is a coppery-green/black. It goes well in a room without a lot of true black items. Must use a 40 w bulb. My hubby accidentally put in a 100 w, and it burnt out after one use. The lamp was fine, fortunately.

These are nice and heavy, not tippy light other lamps I've purchased. Other reviewers mentioned the shades being of poor quality and I am in total agreement. I need to buy new shades, the ones that comes with the lamps are flimsy paper. The accent details are in a patina green, however, they do not detracted from the beauty of the lamp. You just can't see this detail in the photographs provided.

The on/off switch is inline with the map cord about mid way down. It's a real pain to turn on or off whene it's hanging behind the desk. Light is dimmer than I expected.

Wow I love this light. It has a very pleasant dimmer light that I use most of the time and 'wow' the bright light is really bright when you need it. The switch on the cord is no problem for me. I love the light this lamp gives off. I love how it looks and works. I highly recommend it. I am currently using one of these on my desk and one on table by my bed. I ordered two of them. They adjust easily. The neck bends easily and holds right where you set it. This is an exceptionally nice lamp.

This is the second time I have purchased a pair of these lamps to light up an "exhibit" temporarily and they wok great. Easy to assemble, good flex in the goose-neck and stays where you put it. Bulb puts out lots of heat and head get very hot, but that is to be expected. Excellent light output.

Product looks just like picture and looks great in our kitchen. The engineering is not perfect and we had to return one because one of the glass shades hole was not drilled in the center leaving it somewhat crooked. But Amazon took good care of the return and the second one was perfect. Very happy

I purchased (and returned this lamp). The photo looks great and I would have been very happy if the lamp actually was as shown. However, there were so many things wrong:

The socket (which you have to insert) that attaches to base, when screwed on, does not face the base squarely so the shade sits askew.

There were many scratches in the bronze finish.

The inside of the lamp base (which is visible) and all the exposed edges of the cutwork design were not finished with the bronzing so it looked undone.

There is a large silver nut/bolt that attaches the socket to the base inside, but because of the openwork design, the nut is very visible (and ugly).

The electric cord runs through the base, and is visible through the cutwork.

All in all, very poorly made.

Was very pleased with the lamp, especially the base and the weight of it. If i had anything negative to say it would be that the cord is visible...could have extended a tube to cover it to the base.

This lamp arrived needing to be assembled, which was fine for the price, but part of the threads were stripped. I had to ask my handyman to figure out how to make it stay together, which he did without much trouble. It looks great, and is very sturdy.

Does the job but it is cheap, which is good, but it looks it, which is not so good. I had hoped to have it displayed and used more out in the open of our sunroom however, I had to reswizzle my plan so you couldn't see it in its entirety because it looks pretty cheap. If you can set something like a big vase, basket or whatever at the base of it and then I moved my plant stand w/ plant next to it you never know so I kept it and am good. I had wanted to center it in front of one of the French doors but will wait until I decide to really smack down some bucks for a high quality outdoor lamp.

I ordered two lamps. Got shipped out fast and it came a day early. When I put the light bulb in the socket of the lamp it just flickered. There was something wrong with the socket of the lamp. I didn't say nothing to where I ordered it from. It was Monday when I received the lamps and Thursday the same week I received another set of lamps that I didn't order. The lamps both work. I hope I don't have to pay for the second set of lamps. I hope they sent me out the second set cause the first set was not suppose to have been sent out. Thank you Phyllis

Nice little product, although the neck is a little shorter than what the picture displays so it can be a bit deceiving as is the color. It is more ivory than white. Although I don't care my girl who is particular and wanted this product was a little disappointed since it did not match the picture. The LED was bright in my opinion and it is a nice designed product.

I have owned this for over a year now and it has survived a LOT of use. The mains cord goes in to the back of the base and is quite long thankfully. The magnet is nice and strong...but my Brother sewing machine has a plastic case, so that proved to be a bit of a setback. In the end I just plonked it on the thread guide on the top of the machine. You have to be careful to put it at an angle so that it does not trap the thread as it goes round the guide. I never thought that it would hold there, but it has proved so good that I am still using it that was even now. You have to move it to thread the machine, which is a nuisance, but it has worked so well even in that ridiculous position, that I haven't been bothered gluing some Velcro to it and the machine to hold it in a different place.

The only place I can sew has almost no light at all other than this and it makes a massive difference when sewing. It even gives out sufficient light, that I can light the desk up enough to be able to read, unpick stitches and even do minor alterations to my clothes.

I like that it has it's own little switch on the top of the base as well. That was not clear from the pictures, but is a most welcome feature! Why do sewing machine manufacturers not put enough lights on machines in the first place? My old Toyota with it's 40W bulb was wonderful for seeing what you are doing, but it is irritating that since LEDs came along, you now have to external lights and try to fix them on to plastic machines. Even if the case of my machine had been metal, I do not think it would have been very well attached, since most sewing machines tend to have very curved surfaces and not the nice flat surface a magnet needs to be able to stick really well.

In appearance, this floor lamp is tall, visually impressive, and, in its way, rather magnificent. The brass (or brass plating?) has a subdued glow and the shade--whose color I would call a light tan--is attractive. Functionally, the base is wide and heavy, so the lamp should be stable in normal use. The swing arm works smoothly and the three-way light is effective. Assembly is pretty simple.

But the quality of the lamp isn't so careful as the picture suggests and as one might expect for the price. Specifically, on my sample, one of the spindles that ornaments the top of the column is flattened on two sides, when it should be round. I assume this is due to a lapse in craftsmanship on the part of the Chinese factory that made the lamp. Or could it be intentional--a little "distressing" to mimic the look of "antique" brass? Either way, I don't like this "feature" and was tempted to return the lamp for exchange because of it. However, in the end I decided to keep it. After all, my sample could be better than what would be sent in its place.

Notwithstanding any flaws, this review is generally positive. Overall the lamp looks very good, although less refined than in the picture. And--perhaps most importantly--my spouse is happy with it.

I bought some of these 57 watt halogen bulbs at a local hardware store. I realized afterward that they produce only 790 lumens of light. That seems a steep price to pay for dropping power consumption 3 watts, because the 60 watt version produces 900 lumens. Let's see: 790 lumens / 57 watt = 13.86 lumens per watt, and 900 lumens / 60 watts = 15.00 lumens per watt. Watt for watt this 57 watt bulb is less efficient than the 60 watt 900 lumen version, and may encourage people to substitute a higher wattage bulb which would defeat the purpose. This bulb might be ok if you don't really need a 60 watt 900 lumen bulb, but a 40 watt bulb is not bright enough. Turning off uneeded lamps is a good way to conserve energy rather than making bulbs dimmer.

We use these in our external garage lights and they work great. Nice and bright and their halogen-filled, clear glass chambers make them brighter, or seem brighter, than a regular 60 watt bulb. These are so bright that it is hard to look directly at them for any length of time.

Love this fan. I bought the fan for my soon-to-be remodeled kitchen eating area. That was October and the kitchen still isn't done. But the fan looks great. It's even going to look better with a table under it.

It is not a large kitchen, but we had the drop ceilings removed and now we're at 8 1/2' ceiling. First opened the box and thought I'd lost my mind because it was too bulky. (Good thing I didn't buy a larger fan.) The drop is no greater than many, but it definitely has mass. However, it is very cool mass. The color isn't really nickel, it's a bit brownish, but looks great near my stainless fridge and the rest of the stainless appliances. I think it's the color that diminishes the bulk.

It works great. Moves air throughout the kitchen although it is certainly not centered in the kitchen. It is reversible, which multiplies the efficiency of both heat and ac, and comes with all the electronics to make your electrician happy. For those with shorter ceilings, my electrician guys assured me that the stalk could be cut shorter if necessary. I also had pot lights put in, so I didn't end up using the light fixture. They spent time locating the fan so my "pot-light beams/rays" would not become strobe lights. I'm telling you this because it's not something I would have thought of and would in fact find extremely irritating while prepping dinner or eating a great attractive meal. Again, good thing I didn't buy a larger/wider fan.

So, 5 stars for the fan and my trusty electrician too.

I am very pleased with this purchase. It is a beautiful chandelier and the glass shades are beautiful and allow just the right amount of light to shine through. There is plenty of chain and wire included so you could use this in a tall room (maybe an entry way) or like I did in a dining room (you'll just have to shorten the chain and wires).
