With battery or external power, this light is nice and versatile. A good deal of light delivered close to a working surface, such as for fine electronics work. The only negative is that even with batteries installed in the base, the position of the light head is limited since the light can tip over.

This lamp is very compact and provides good illumination in a limited area. I find it perfect for lighting up the keyboard. It provides much stronger light using the USB connection than it does on battery power. Attractively designed and useful for its intended purpose. Amazon's price was a bargain.

For Christmas a year ago, my 11 year old daughter received a small budget to use for redecorating her room. She wanted to go 'dogs'. This lamp has been in her room (moved around-unbeknownst to me until recently) and used several times a day and it is in amazing condition. Sturdy, strong and works perfectly. I worried initially because I was buying it online... I was concerned about the glass pieces during shipping and it's a touch lamp...hadn't seen one of these in years. I wondered about the quality. But, no worries. It arrived safely packaged and all we had to do was plug it in (like I said, it's been through a lot now and it's in perfect shape). The photos of the dogs are just so sweet. (She loves it)

This is a great look. The light coming off of it is just right by the bedside. It looks pretty. The only drawback is the some of the wires holding the crystals come unhooked and the crystals fall. I have to get a pliers to reattach them. I also bought matching sconces for the hallway and they cast a beautiful light.

I purchased a pair and I luv them to death. Very nice heavy weight. They look expensive and I get so many compliments on them. I just love the construction of the these lamps. Always a little iffy buying furniture online, but this lamp knocks it out of the park. Really good quality. Solid, nice looking, nice light. We have 2. They are on the larger side so you need a big room, but they are perfect for our space.

Let's keep it simple. My lamp arrived with a broken shade. It actually took me a day or two to figure that out. I thought it was me attaching the shade crooked. I had thrown away all packaging a was going to just purchase a new shade in the stores here. Not going well at all. Couldn't find one to fit. Finally I contacted Amazon (my favorite people) just to tell of my issue not even looking for help since I couldn't return lamp in original box.I just wanted to be heard. A few days ago I received a brand new lamp shade. There are other issues with this lamp,the stem isn't straight which gives the shade a slightly lop-sided appearance and the bottom is supposed to be wood. Hmmm ,not too sure. There are chips where metal and wood(?) meet. Fine black marker will hide that. So ,in saying all of this I must say that nothing is 100% perfect. If you look closely enough you"ll find imperfections. Just wish someone would take a look at what they are shipping. saves time and money. I still like the looks of this lamp.Wish I had two . Not willing to risk another disappointment.

This lamp has a fabulous arts & crafts design. However, the lampshade is NOT real or natural mica, it is some kind of plastic immitation. The resin base would be fine except the made-in-China (i'm guessing here) painted highlights in gold (yuck) on it was done by someone who had to be under 8 years old. No paint-between the lines experience to be had here. The paint is on the little round shape on the base. It could have been comletely omitted. I have not decided yet whether or not to keep it.

I bought a pair of these lamps to place on the nightstands in my bedroom. They are elegant and I like how heavy and solid they are. They added a nice masculine touch to our bedroom, which had a more feminine color palette. The only thing is that the base pictured here looks like a dark brown/mahogany, while in real life it is much more a dark gray. I was a little disappointed by the visual difference, but not enough to return them.
