The lamp is about 18 inches high and about 8 wide and widest point of shade.

The shade is a laughable to the nth degree. The glue to hold it on is none existent.

We needed to buy a bunch of small reading lights at our theater (for rehearsals, stage managers, etc) and so I ordered one of each of the top models I found here on Amazon. This one was the hands-down winner. It's great that you can clip it to any book (super strong clip) or use it on a table (the batteries act as a perfect counterweight). The smaller models didn't have nearly the same lamp life as this one. And the flexible gooseneck is awesome. I still have all the other test models kicking around but this is the one I use -great for camping trips too!!

This changes everything! After years of nighttime disputes when one of us wanted to turn off the light to go to sleep while the other wanted to keep reading, the Light Boss saves the day. I really like that you can clip it to the book or rest it on the nightstand, and that the dual light settings mean you only use as much light as the situation requires. It's lightweight, and so would be easy to pack for travelling (I'm bringing mine camping), and the LED light is strong yet not harsh.

I love them! They are exactly what I was looking for and were easy to assemble. Only missing one star because the shades have some very minor flaws. They are some sort of woven wood material that's painted gray and lined with white fabric which has a cool effect with the light on, but is a little fragile. Granted they are very inexpensive IKEA lamps so I really can't complain.

I really wanted a pineapple lamp for some reason. It was hard to fing one that was not too gaudy. Hence, I chose this clear one as dining room accent lamp because it was unique but also understated, which fit my style goals. Anyway, it's great for the price. No trouble with assembly. One complaint: the pineapple is crooked in a way that can't be fixed or adjusted. I dont know if this is a problem with just my lamp or if they are all defective. It's not too noticable but I notice. That said, I'd say it was a great find.

Maybe a fluke but as I removed the light from its packing the electric plug swung up & easily broke the pineapple which is made of very thin glass. I did manage to repair it with superglue but even so I agree with complaints from other buyers that the pineapple is not centered & leans to one side.

This a very bright lamp, especially the base. If you place it on a dark surface and in low to no light the base looks like the crystals are floating. The fiber optics are bright too. The lamp is a bit big for the space I have to put it, but that is my issue, not the lamp's. This lamp just arrived yesterday, but I'm already delighted by it. It was very easy to assemble, the base is secure and the design allows the ligt to be usefully distributed. Another reviewer called the switch fragile. It seems solid enough to me. The light itself is both soft and bright and and can be dimmed. But the best thing is that the led light feels better to my eyes than other types of light. This is easily the best desk lamp I've ever had.

totally love it. and an excellent price. I just wish the clockwise turn-switch went from off --> dim --> bright, rather than off-->bright-->dim. you have to get blinded every time you turn it on before you can get to the dim setting. but that's a tiny detail...

Best part of this lamp: LED lights. Everything else fell short of expectations.

The lamp does not seat evenly on the base. Certainly not a design worthy of the $100 price.

The switch is a fragile-looking piece of plastic which you twist to turn on the lamp and to adjust the intensity. I cannot imagine it lasting long, and not the 25 years PRISM claims that this lamp will last. It is also not located in the convenient place. Most users will find that they will have to get up from their chair to adjust or turn the lamp on, if they place it on their desk.

I was given a delivery date when the item shipped. The initial "tracking" delivery date mysteriously changed to a week later on the day the lamp was supposed to arrive. Apparently, 3-4 business day delivery is when they ship it by surface. When you get it, after it tours the country, is a matter of luck. My e-mail to the vendor was simply IGNORED.

NOT my favorite company to buy from.

You'll like the effect of this LED desk lamp. Personally, not so enamored with the effect. Functional but not necessarily the best-looking contemporary design, the dimming function is one of the best features, as it smoothly rotates from top to lowest setting, though it doesn't dim to a particularly low mood-type setting. I would still recommend it for the vertically articulating arm and dimming device. It may not wow from a design standpoint, but it is a functional lighting choice that is better than most task lamps I have purchased and used over the years, outside three halogen Tizio desk lamps which have no peer among task lighting.

This is the lamp all of us use in the studio at work whether we are sculpting or painting. It works very well and I find I can't paint as comfortably if I'm using another lamp. The item is just like the picture. Some costumers complain the counter weight doesn't work well, but I think this lamp is meant to be hanging low like what it looks like in the picture. I think it looks more modern this way. Besides the arm, the angle of the lamp is very adjustable. The transformer is within the base of the lamp and the power cord come out of that, so you don't have to bother with a large transformer on your power strip. My lamp come with two cold-color fluorescent bulbs(little longer than I have expected), which provide very adequate amount of light. If you have a long table, it make a nice combination with this lamp. The black finish of the lamp is pretty good, it doesn't get too much finger print. It's easy to clean. Just wipe with tissue and you are good to go. Price is a little to the pricey side for a lamp, but the quality is definitely better than the IKEA stuff.

The product, overall, works very well. When first turned on, the ballasts flicker off and on from a few seconds to almost a minute, but it becomes steady after that. It just makes me wonder if the ballasts will fail soon or not. The swing-arm feature works vwey well.

Provides adequate light for water color painting at an architect's desk. Easy to install. Counter balance provided by base springs on swing arm is not adequate, although I haven't fully investigated the effect of tightening the nuts at the base of the arm. There is an easily adjusted wing nut at the elbow.

Some artists prefer a swing arm lamp with a combination of fluorescent and incandescent light. This lamp in my opinion, with two 15 W fluorescent bulbs used in combination with ceiling incandescent lights, provides better overall illumination.

This is a great little lamp. We got it because we love pandas, and have a new corner desk that could use a little more illumination. This lamp is about 10 inches tall, and is made of wood, and paper. It comes collapsed, in about 7 pieces, and took a little over a month to arrive in the USA. It took all of 5 minutes to put it together with the included 4 screws. It also came with a clear old fashioned style outdoor Christmas light. But those tend to burn pretty hot, and don't throw a lot of light. So we got one of those energy saver candelabra lights that run pretty cool, and are equivalent to a 25 watt bulb. It is more of a mood light, but it helps fill out the dark corners. The pandas on the paper look like a printed reproduction of a hand drawing. The image is refined, yet authentic. It's a cool little lamp; and shipped all this way for free. Very unique and cool.

I didn't realize it had locking joints, so it took a bit of getting used to as I moved it around, loosened and locked it repeatedly until I found a position I preferred. We are going for the modern look in our home, thus the style initially attracted us. That said, I also like the chrome finish, giving the lamp a high quality appearance. Speaking of quality, overall the lamp is sturdy and well-built just make sure to lock it into place to prevent it from falling over after adjusting it.
