The product itself is great and from a distance looks like a real flame. Perfect for the use I was purchasing it for. Unfortunately the packaging for the product was insufficient and the product came broken. The plastic body split in half. I actually sent it back and ordered another one. Unfortunately that one came broken as well. One of the lights had broken off. I was still able to use it for the one time event since I didn't have time to order a 3rd one, but overall I was bummed because when plugged in it really does look like a real flame. I think purchasing it from a local party store would be a better bet, since the company packaging may not be aware of their packing issues.

In my Table Top Flame Lamp Review I have a few things to say you may be interested in if you want to get one...

I super like these lamps as they give a feeling of a warm fire (visually of course) and I've had 2 so far.

The 1st one was a gift and it had an amber flame just as the color appears in the Amazon ads you see. This is a warm flame and very realistic to have in a room. It adds color and character to your environment all year around, not just Halloween or winter.

However, beware that with some of the news ones, they may ship with not an amber flame color, but a red flame.

This is a vastly different effect from the amber flame. My daughter liked it so I kept it but I did 2 things to it to make it better.

I frayed the silk flame fabric with scissors to add a more realistic flame effect to it and I also added in 2 amber strips of fabric in with the red. You can find it in any fabric store.

Of course, use your own discretion on that as you will void any return policy when you modify it like I did. However, it sure made the red flame lamp look so much better with the mixed flame effect.

I secured it to the bottom of the lamp with a little duct tape strip to the bottom of each added flame. It's a fan that blows the air upward so it runs cool and sticks well and is hidden from view.

My best advice is to contact the seller and see if you can verify which color it ships in but the best of the 2 colors by far is the amber flame color.

I got this lamp for my grandson at Christmas time and there's no off/on switch on the cord, like one that I own. It's dangerous for a child to unplug a lamp over & over. There's hardly any material on top to resemble a flame (it's so cheap they could have put much more) I had to 'add' more to make it look like fire! And the fan that propells the 'flame' was blowing one side well but not the other. Spend more and order a better one. I gave him mine.

Review of Kenroy Home 91640ORB Margot 3-Light Pendant with Fabric Shade

I love this light.

Almost every other drum light we were interested in was in the $400+ range. At about $150 from Amazon (with Prime free shipping), this light was a steal.

The quality of the product is high, especially given the price point.

It's beautiful. The design is gorgeous in person. It may be my favorite light in the house. This is saying a lot because I've just updated every light in the house (with some at over 10 times the cost of this light).

Actual colors and look: (1) the metal is oil rubbed and not aged bronze so it appears a smooth brown, which gives it a modern feel, but it works very well with our casual comtemporary house (most of our furniture is from ReHa),(2) the shade looks short and wide (a flatter look versus the taller beefier looking drums it's pleasing), (3) the color of the shade: dark gray 1/3 inch rings at the top and bottom and the middle section looks like black/dark gray denim that is backlit (go to the Amazon picture of it, click on enlarge, it looks more black than the picture yet also lighter because the light from the lamp shines a warm beige color in between the black thread lines obviously difficult to describe, but it's very pretty), the picture on the site makes it look gray and washed out, but it's not, (4) the opaque diffuser on the bottom: I've seen a reviewer on another site complain about it being plastic and cheap looking. I disagree, it's plastic, but does not look cheap at all. There's a warm glow from it. (5) Assembly was easy. The only part that took time was the threading of the wires and ground through the chain.

Not sure if the other reviewer just got a bad shipment, but mine came with decent instructions and the ceiling mount had all the required pieces. Since I've put a number of these up now with our lighthing update project, it was very easy to install myself.

FYI, I installed it over a deep dark brown 54" table. I have a 10 foot ceiling. I dropped it 48 inches from the ceiling which gave it 33 inches above the table. The size was perfect for the 54" table.

Because our builder originally installed the light in this room a foot off of center (they centered to the space and did not take into account the side cabinet), I chose to swag the light (meaning I bought a brown ceiling hook assembly from Ace and looped the chain from the original box) instead of moving the box, to save money and not have to call an electrician to move the box, and because I thought that this particular light might look better with the swag. The swag caused me to use the entire length of the included chain. I would not have been able to do this with a higher ceiling. Anyway, I was right. It swag gave it a lot more oomph than just a straight drop. I'll post a picture if I can figure out how to do that on Amazon.

CONCLUSION: Great looking, good quality light for under $150. No shipping if you are a Prime member and no taxes (until the state governments figure out how much money they are losing because everyone is buying from Amazon these days with free shipping, lower prices and no taxes). :-)

Buy this light. We are more than please with it.

In loved the look and the price of this drum light, however we had to send it back. Ours came with pieces missing, and after several trips to the hardware store we decided to let it go. We were able to hang the light makeshift parts, but the drum itself and the trim were crooked. The dark line around the drum did not even meet up level at the seam. however I could not praise amazon more for the easy return. Ups picked it up from our house, we didn't have to pay return shipping. Kudos to amazon, but thumbs down to kenroy.

The base and shade of this light fixture is attractive, however, the diffuser would not hang level. It tipped from side to side no matter how I turned it. The design of this could be better for sure. The overall size was bigger than I envisioned. Anything else I found online was so much more expensive. 22" is a large shade.

For the price, this is a good looking pendant light and looks great once I got it hung. The shade is a nice silvery grey color and it's very stylish. Easy to hang. However, there are two drawbacks to this item: 1) as others posted, the acrylic light diffuser doesn't seat properly and I had to insert little pins around the edges of the shade to keep it positioned so that it's level (Kenroy needs to address this issue), and 2) I feel that the quality of the shade could be a little better. Overall, it's a nice pendant for this price and I like that it can be swagged with the chain.

Love the Normande Candle Stick Lamps (purchased 6 sets from Amazon in the past)but this time ordered Antique Brass and Received Brushed Steel finish due to incorrect labeling on back of package. Labeling on front of package was correct. Returned and reordered as advised by Amazon only to receive the incorrect Brushed Steel finish a second time...same incorrectly marked packaging. The packaging is clear plastic so you would think someone would have noticed they weren't Antique Brass before shipping. I give 5 stars to the product but not the quality control. Just kept the Brushed Steel...wasn't worth going through the same frustration a 3rd time.

These lamps are beautiful, unique, and well built. The bases are very heavy and very sturdy. I love the touch feature so much I often just touch the lamps all over just to confirm that it works as well as it really does. I think the criticisms in other reviews regarding the lack of brightness are very incorrect. On the highest setting, these lamps are as bright as you would want a bedside or desktop lamp to be. I'm no interior designer, but I don't think this is the size or type of lamp one should buy to brightly light an entire room. They are perfect for my bedside tables and I get tons of great comments on them.

I was a little worried when I purchased this product thinking I was going to get some flimsy plastic garbage because of the low price. I was happy with what arrived however. The lamp seems pretty solidly built using almost all metal. It is definitively energy efficient. I tested it and it was pulling only about 3W. The color of the light is roughly about the same as "daylight" CFLs. The only minor negative I have about this lamp, is it is not the brightest. I don't know if I would use this as my only light over a desk in an otherwise dark room. For me, using this above the work on my desk along with another floor lamp in my room provided an ideal amount of illumination.

I wanted a cheap, LED-based lamp to light a small part of my standing desk in my home office. This works perfectly for that purpose. Been using for about 6 months and have had no problems at all. The power cord is somewhat cheap (think cable) but that doesn't pose a problem (yet). The switch is a simple rocker and I attached it to the side of my desk to make it easily accessible. Provides nice, focused lighting for reading something on my desk or photographing my T&E receipts (which is a big reason for my purchase).

Good lamp, nothing outstanding but that shouldn't be expected for the price. Don't buy if you're wanting to light a big area...it's not that kind of lamp. Buy if you need to light up a 20-inch radius on your desk or just want something to create a bit of light in a dark room.

This mood light arrived quickly and in good shape.

Upon opening this I was truly amazed, the thing is bigger than a human head, slightly larger than a bowling ball.

It comes with an AC adapter, which is the brick kind and takes up two outlets unless positioned at the end of a surge/power bar.

Once plugged in, it began shifting into a sea of colors, mixing ghostly blues, with almost 3d shades of green, then on to a lava like red. It's appearance could be described as a holographic mixture of fire, blue mist, and ghost like jade, flowing slowly as if it's some magic energy or spirit hovering in the dark.

During the day it is clearly visible, and at night it is strikingly mesmerizing, I have also left it on for multiple days now, and the temperature in my room is from 50-60 at the moment, as it's getting quite hot out here, and it's not had even one issue so far.

With further examination, you'll find underneath of it a button, if you press it it has different modes, once plugged in it has a standard mode of showing a color quickly and then transitioning to the next blending two colors in at the same time briefly after each cycle, clicking the button one will then make the solid colors last longer and then phase out into darkness, and then switch to the next color, clicking the button again will give you a rainbow effect of all colors at once going wildly like an intense reactor about to explode lol, and the final mode with one more click, will give you a strobe like effect which is very distracting, as all sorts of colors wage war flashing rapidly non stop.

It also produces almost no heat, after several days leaving it on, when you touch it it's colder than the room temperature, it's also deceivingly light weight, it weighs virtually nothing but it's size and shape will fool you into thinking it weighs a ton.

I'm confident that this will last a long time, the construction seems good, and the ac and plug are all no nonsense and well constructed, the button feels strong and not cheap in any way, I accidentally got a bit of wd40 on it while cleaning some other items and it left spots on it, they vanished in a day though.

The only negative is that you can't really use any cleaner or even water on it when dusting, only use a feather duster, as any sort of liquid will leave spots on it for a day or more maybe even permanently, upon touching it, it has a sort of treated feal to it, chalky almost, so putting water or even furniture polish on it I doubt is ideal, it may sound silly but I figured I'd mention it from my experience.

All in all I give this a 5 out of 5

In summery, it's beautiful to look at, produces almost no heat, weighs almost nothing, has multiple light modes, runs for days without mechanical failure, and is bigger than a human head/bowling ball.

Not quite as big as a bowling ball, and very light. The visuals are quite dramatic in a darkened room, but noticeable even in the daytime.

Ran whisper-quiet for the first two days, then started rapidly, but softly clicking a steady 5 or so times a second. Only really noticeable in a quiet room, but since this is a nightlight, kind of annoying. :/

I love unique lights, and this one is different from the more static color changeing

lights. It has a very intricate pattered effect that continuosly changes color, cycling

slowly. There is a buttom on the bottom to turn it off, or change modes from constantly

changing, to solid color.

The shrere is 8'' plastic, very light weight, and the quality workmanship and QA is hit or miss.

These have been on the market now a number of years, I have 4 of them, and only 2 work really well.

The plastic sphere is perfectly round, frosted like surface, and opaque.

The button tends to have problems, sometimes it will not shut off, or change modes.

I dont even know if the bulb is replaceble, and it is not an easy task to remove the bottom plastic

base to gain acesss to it.

The AC/DC apapter is small enough to not take up too much space on an average power strip.

With all the lights off, this really does give you a hypnotic effect which changes it's pattern

constantly. The little motor runs a bit on the loud side, but will not annoy you if place in a bedroom.

It you love stuff like this, I do recommend it. Check out some of the YouTube videos for a demo.
