This fixture looks great in our entryway. I love the clean, contemporary look it instantly gives our home. I was looking everywhere for a drum-shade pendant for the right price and here it is! The shade itself is made of a papery-fabric, but because it is meant for a ceiling where no one will touch it, that doesn't pose a problem at all. It gives off great light, too!

I love the look of this fixture and the price is great, but the quality is very poor. Although I couldn't tell from the photo, I just assumed there was a diffuser at the bottom of the shade, but there was none in the box so the bulbs are visible while sitting at the dining room table.

Very simple and elegant fixture, and a its good value for this level of design. I replaced an outdated chandelier with this and it instantly modernized the room. It was a challenge to install and I had to make sure my hands were very clean before touching the white paper shade, but it was worth the effort.

My husband had a heck of a time hanging it so it was even, but with a little help we got it right. It has a ton of extra cable, so it could be hung from a high ceiling. Ours was not that high, so once we found the length we liked, we just wrapped the extra up in the base. I like it a lot.

Cheap Color Changing LED Tree Blossom Mood Light Desk Floor Lamp

The lamp is really small and looks pretty fragile. It came shipped from Hong Kong in nothing but bubble wrap and lots of tape. There was no box. It does work however. Before you spread the wires(branches), it looks like a plastic bse with wires sticking out of it.

My friend has been buying Tuwago bulbs for the past few years and kept raving about them. Now I'm just a simple commoner with absolutely no interest in light bulbs at all, but I figured I might as well try it out just to appease my friend. When I bought this bulb about 6 months ago, I was promised that I would be amazed at just how energy efficient yet bright they are.

Let me just say that I am not disappointed! I put this bulb in the floorlamp in my bedroom and the light it gives off is pretty much exactly all that you could possibly want from a lightbulb: very high quality, bright, yet not overpowering.

I think the best part about this bulb versus other energy efficient lightbulbs I've tried in the past is that there is absolutely no annoying warm-up time! It reaches maximum brightness immediately! The box said that the bulb is supposed to last 23 years. While I cannot vouch that it will last me that long, it has had no problems so far and there is a 3 year guarantee so I already feel like I've come out ahead. I'm buying more Tuwago bulbs to replace all of the lights in my house and am now a firm believer in LED technology!

1st, the base and the lamp shade are oval, not round. I knew this before I purchased it; but the product picture doesn't make this obvious. 2nd, pay attention to the measurements. It's a big lamp. I wanted a big lamp so I wasn't oblivious to its dimensions. But it's larger than the average lamp. So make sure you have space for it. If this helps, here are some additional measurements: the base is about 12" wide and about 7" deep (thick). The height of the base is 9" to where the flowers end and the ribbing begins. The height is about 14" to where the base narrows into the neck. The lamp shade is 18.5" x 11" and 10.75 high. I replaced the harp that came w/ the lamp (about 9") with one that's the next size down. I like it a lot better with the lamp shade sitting a bit lower. I think I"m going to try the next shorter harp. I like the look of drum shades that sit closer to their bases. And I think it will make the lamp look less imposing.

I needed a lamp that provided a lot of light. This is perfect! The oval drum shade allows so much more light into the room than did the coolie shade on the previous lamp I retired. The 3 way light fixture on this lamp is a big benefit. I can finally see across the FR.

The lamp only gets 4 stars because the finial has/had issues: it's an oval shaped finial and very pretty, but (1)the threaded hole isn't centered in it so the finial isn't in the center of the lampshade, and (2) the threading is off so that when the finial is tightened it's perpendicular to the front of the lamp. I didn't want to return the lamp just because of the finial, so I made an "improvement" to the finial which makes it purely decorative now instead of functional. (It's a big finial, so I took a Leatherman and carved out a hole for a standard plain low-profile cap that screws onto any harp. I made sure the hole was centered in the finial. Then I glued the standard finial cap inside the hole. The standard cap doesn't fit completely inside the hole I carved, but you don't notice it when it's screwed into place. And the decorative finial now stands up a little higher and is more prominent -that's an added bonus of my improvement.)

BTW, the photo of the lamp doesn't do the lamp shade justice. The lamp shade is better looking in real life than it is in the picture. The fabric has a little bit of waffle-ish texture to it. It's still a hard-back lamp shade, but I was expecting to have to replace the lamp shade. So I was pleasantly surprised when I realized the lamp shade looks better than I thought it would. I'm not planning on replacing the shade. And I've decided I like the hardback shade. It eliminates the need for seams in the lamp shade (seams in the shade would detract from the lamp -the base has enough going on; it doesn't need seams in the lamp shade. IMO.) In general, the lamp looks like a more expensive lamp. It's solid (weight = 14lbs) and not at all flimsy looking.

If you're looking for a lamp that provides great lighting and is very nifty looking, this lamp should be on your short list. And the price can't be beat! I like this lamp more and more each day -it's my new favorite thing. PS: You can skip dusting once or twice without being reminded you skipped it each time you look at this lamp. It's very forgiving. :)

I don't have much to add to the other review, but I figured two positive reviews are more helpful than one. I really like the control the lamp gives you over the focus of the light it is continuous from very spread out to the focus of a regular flashlight. The built in two-arm stand is also very helpful and gives you great control over which direction the lamp faces. I was thinking that the lamp I had would be perfect if there were an attached hook from which the lamp could be hung, and I noticed from the picture that they must have added this to the most recent model. For the price, you can't beat it. But because of the uneven light distribution, it's really not the best for sitting on a table in a room or tent. It's really best for two other 'configurations': 1) For use as a spot light to AIM a spot of light at a medium distance, such as to iluuminate/point-the-way to some location...like the location of that "outdoor convenience" room. 2) The other way it's useful is hanging UPSIDE-DOWN (yes, upside down!), from the top center of your tent, and illumuinating the area you select by adjusting the 'coverage area' by moving the focusing slide until you get the optimal light distribution you need. But as an all-purpose 'area' lantern that sits on a table in a tent/room, as I said earlier, it's uneven distribution of light (not to mention it's mediocre light output due to use of a krypton bulb instead of an LED), should make you look elsewhere for another product. Dorcy DOES make an LED version, so I'll give that one a try in the future.
