We purchased this light for my daughter's bedroom. She absolutely loves it. The light is of good quality and very attractive. It's a little smaller than I expected. The one issue I came across, is the mounting holes don't line up with a standard ceiling lighting mount. You can screw one screw into the lighting mount and then the other into drywall/stud/plug.

Also mounting screws were not included.

The product arrived very quickly and very well packaged. All construction, look and feel is pretty good and solid; easy to assemble and insert the light bulb, etc. The only reason why I do not give it the fifth star is because it is more of a decorative lamp than a real lamp. Maybe the bulb can be replaced with something stronger. Maybe that is what an "accent lamp" is supposed to be? Other than that, very happy with the product.

This item was a nightmare to open. It was by far the worst experience I've ever had with Amazon.

First, the styrofoam used to protect the item crumbled as I touched it. My kitchen and living room were covered in tiny styrofoam balls by the time I was done setting up the lamp. Naturally, they were tracked everywhere and I had to vacuum my whole apartment. Second, this styrofoam did not even protect the lamp it arrived damaged! The lamp socket was smashed inward and twisted sideways. The lamp shade had a large scratch on it. The paint on the lamp harp was peeled off in places. There was sticky residue on the power cord. I don't know if this atrocious packaging was the manufacturer's fault or Amazon's, but it was a horrendous experience nonetheless. I needed to use the lamp right away and was able to use a wrench to bend the socket back into place and into a functional shape, so I didn't bother with a return. I did not want to deal with that styrofoam again either...

I had a few problems with the lamp aesthetic, as well. The glass diamond on my lamp has a few defects in it from when it was forged. One is an odd, flat, circular line and the other two are small dents. Also, the silver neck is shorter than pictured. I placed the lamp on my end table and when viewing it from a standing angle, the lamp shade covers up the diamond (which is the whole reason I bought this lamp I loved the diamond!). If you want to see the diamond without placing the lamp on a higher surface, you'll have to buy a taller harp (I would suggest a 10" one).

The blue color is really beautiful, and I do get compliments on the lamp, but I had such an awful experience that I internally cringe whenever people admire it. I never thought I would resent an inanimate object, but I do. Oh, I do.

Hopefully my experience was the exception, not the rule, but I still would not recommend this product to anyone.

This is the perfect bed side lamp that I can flush the base to the wall while the shade is up front. This is also ideal for reading on nearby recliner since you can swing the light towards you. It comes with 13-watt energy saving bulb but I used 23-watt bulb instead for better lighting.

The best thing on this is the very convenient power outlet (no more bending and crawling) which you can use in variety of ways like charging your cell phone or plugging your laptop or other devices.

It is hard to find bedside lamp with power outlet and this is just what we need.

The light fixture is high quality, My expectation was that the bulb and shade assembly would swing at the main stem and second knuckle out from the main stem. Not so. The main stem is fixed. Also I expected from the photos that the shade color would cast a warm off white glow when the fixture was on. With the shade shipped it casts a very white light with a standard 60 watt bulb. The switch and outlet on the base are nice features that give some balance to my disappointments.

This product came with a defect, the ends od the poles did not screw on properly and it looks like it is broken. I did not want to go through the trouble os sending the entire product back so i desided to keep it but i am very dissadisfied with this product.

Cheap Zelco Audio "itty bitty" book Light (battery version only)

This new version of the itty bitty light from Zelco is improved in some areas but in others not as good as the familiar previous versions of the itty bitty. The neon light is just right for ageing eyes and the little recorder is surprisingly useful. Nice to be able to record a thought or something you need to do without putting down the book you are reading. But I find the limited range of motion of the light head prevents me using the light in all the ways I would like. It cannot be turned around backwards or raised up to a near vertical position so it has to be used clipped to the book rather than propped up by my pillow, and it is a little heavy. Magazines in particular don't support it well. The chromed clip reflects light back in my eyes but that was resolved with a piece of tape. A good light that could be a great light with a few mods.

Overall I am happy with the lamp, however, the shade has black and white flowers on the inside that were not in the description. They show through when the lamp is turned on! I'm getting used to it now, but at first I would say...I love this lamp, just don't turn it on! Also, the two balls that make up the base are not quite lined up, they are a little off center. If it were not for the flowers on the shade, I would say I love it.

I was immediately drawn to this lamp because I love the color red and I liked everything about it, especially the velvet shade. But upon turning it on, I discovered the shade is highly transparent. Like another reviewer mentioned (there were no reviews when I bought this), there are black flowers against a white background inside, and when lit the lamp takes on a totally different look and feel. See photos.

Overall, I am still very pleased. I bought this lamp several months ago and don't turn it on as often as I'd intended to, mostly because my living room is pretty eclectic as is and the flowers are too much. So, four stars out of five. I'm considering attaching something to cover up the inside of the lamp, although since the lamp doesn't give off a lot of light to begin with I wouldn't officially recommend this.

I just finished unpacking these, plugging them in and putting them on my nightstands and I'm THRILLED with their look. They look and feel far more expensive than they are. They're a great height at 27" and they have real heft to them. I bought mine on sale for $53 plus $21 shipping and they were completely worth it. I'll have these lamps for years. The seller was terrific too. They shipped fast. They packed them so well I got frustrated trying to get the box open. Not a scratch, not a dent. Perfect! The color is exactly as pictured -it's what I'd call metallic -a silvery, pewter-like finish with a hint of gold to it. The photo doesn't do the shades justice. They look much richer in person. They're tan with a black, lightly-embossed, florentine pattern (not flowers). Very modern and contemporary and I can't say enough nice things about these lamps or the seller except to tell you to feel absolutely comfortable buying these. They're really nice :)

And you can't really tell from the picture but the base has this weird tiger stripe design that does match the shade... I spray painted the whole bottom a metallic silver... They look nice now... This floor lamp is OK for chair side reading, the 40W bulb is bright enough, the finish is good and the adjustable arm works OK. However, the darn lamp won't stand straight! It leans toward the lampshade, and I haven't found any way to correct that except to put a wedge under the base. If it wasn't for that, I would have given it 5 stars.
