First of all, the lamp is pretty small. Pay attention to the dimensions. I needed a relatively small lamp and I think this one is really attractive. It's cutting edge stylish and looks very expensive. I love it.

i bought this lamp as a bedside lamp that would add the possibility of getting speakers to play music on my phone. it works great. i initially had issues with connection and noisy sounds with my phone signal but changed it to a new one that does not have those problems. Was very easy and quick to return it. Now i have the pink and the color is really nice, not too bright. nice backlight and inspiring for bedtime!

the speakers are good too. the cable is short, so you may need an electric cable to connect your phone at some distance.

strongly recommend. nice price too!

The base is metal and the middle post is quite think and noticeable. It's a nice lamp but if you are looking for a crystal base this is not it. The picture is deceiving

Honestly, there's nothing insanely special about this lamp. I like that it adjusts but not easily. The base is a heavy and durable feeling square base that you screw the rod into the center of it and if you can picture the bottom of the rod where it screws in, there's a small hole on the side of it where the power cord comes out so the cord is visible and falls over base instead of under it. The pic does not show this to be the case and had I known, I would have decided against it since we have the lamp out in the open and not tucked behind furniture. Since the power cord runs through the lamp rod, adjusting the lamp height depends on how hard you yank the power cord through and out of the bottom/side of the rod. It's not a very nice looking rod ensemble but I guess I should have tried zooming in a little more. The pic was also deceiving when it came to the shade itself. In the pic, it appears to be a nice, warm taupe or mocha color but I was very surprised to see it was a design of white and golden yellow weave-looking patterns. Not what I wanted but it will have to do. The lamp is also crooked and we've tried to gently "bend" it back in the straight position but we're scared it's going to break. Not worth the price it's selling for in my opinion.

The installation of the lamp was fairly straightforward. Screw the pole into the base. Unscrew the securing ring for the shade and attach the shade. Adjust the height and then put in a light bulb.

The description says that a light bulb is not included; however, a 32W CFL bulb was included in the package. It looked packed to avoid breakage (it was suspended by tape in a cardboard pyramid).

The only issue that I can see someone having is that the cord does not exit under the base of the lamp but rather it exits above the base. Since I have the base behind the couch, this doesn't bother me but if you have it free standing and don't like seeing cords, you may want to pick a different lamp. However, I like the fact that I can change the light bulb without having to disassemble any part of the lamp.

this lamp used to be touch on/off; but the manufacturer has replaced that for an in-line switch. Many websites out there have not updated their details on it yet and some might say it still is a touch on/off but this is obsolete info because the manufacturer doesn't make it anymore like that.

However you can very easily convert this to a touch lamp if you desire it by buying something like this (http://www.amazon.com/GE-18259-Control-3-Level-Dimming/dp/B002DNAH78) I got one at Home Depot and it was not the dimming kind; its just one touch for on and on touch for off, but it works great and it was about 10$

The lamp looks great, definitely nicer looking than the typical bedside lamps
