I had seen vintage versions of this lamp. It is hard to find. The new version is not as solid (so typical of most things), but still looks great on a desk. Two sockets for 120v good lighting. Assembly is easy and requires no tools. Now I have to order more...

This lamp is lovely and well-made, but between the dark brown shade and the 100w max bulb, it isn't suitable for reading. It is also smaller than I expected. The silvered mirror base is 8" wide by 3" deep at it's widest point. It would be most suitable for a contemporary room with modest sized furnishings. The shade is a dark copper brown inside and out. When the light is on, the shade is a rich burgundy color. Note that if you return the lamp, you will pay shipping to and from the seller (two lamps cost $30 total shipping).

Cheap Sons of Anarchy Table Lamp
I had ordered this product as a Christmas gift. I realized that it wouldn't be in by then, which wasn't a problem. But when it arrived, on the 27th, I was so disappointed. The box was completely open on the side seam. Then when I got the lamp out, the top of the lamp shade was broken (the wire was sticking out). Then I noticed that the base of the gun was broken as well.
Great Price too! Other places are charging $100 before tax and shipping!
Thank you for helping me make sure my husband was happy!

Nice piece of work for the garage. A bit small in my opinion but good none the less. Would be nice if the scythe had been made of real metal. ;)Best Deals for Sons of Anarchy Table Lamp
Got the lamp in a good timeframe. Shipping stated 4-14 business days but arrived in about 8 days total. My husband damn near $*** his pants when he saw it. It was packaged well so no damage. Whichever company they hired to ship the product needs a talking to. the box on the outside looked like someone sat on it but due to the great care taken to make sure it was padded, the actual item didn't have any damamge ; )Great Price too! Just what I was looking for to replace one that, after decades of use, had shorted out. It is heavy enough to stay put when the arm is extended. The only thing I could wish for is that it had 3-way capability.
Good looking and perfect for my needs.

Nice lamp, smaller than I thought it would be though. One lamps arm mechanism broke with just a little bump, so it doesn't swing easily, comes out of it socket. They look nice but I would not buy again due to lack of durability.Best Deals for Bronze Finish Swing Arm Table Lamp

I feel like I am in a library when I turn these on. The light bulb that came with the lamp did not fit the lamp. But, the lampshade is so beautiful that it doesn't matter.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Bronze Finish Swing Arm Table Lamp
I purchased two of the lamps. They fit the bill exactly on my buffet. I love the fact that I can use a bulb of high wattage which is needed in the room as well as the size of the lamps.Lava Lite 2414 The Dark Knight RisesTM Scene Lava Lamp, Black Review
I purchased this item through a vendor on Amazon and it must have been the last one because immediately the item became only available through Amazon (and at nearly double the price). Mine arrived in a tube container with The Dark Knight Rises imagery and DC logo on it, so I have no reason to believe the manufacture of the product is any different. Many reviewers for other Lava Lites complain about this, so it seems to be common: The liquid is very cloudy once it's turned on and the 'lava' isn't black, it's dark grayish, the combination of which, frankly, causes the appearance to look like poop while it's operating. See video I posted and decide for yourself if this appearance will be satisfactory for you. I have mine on top of a bookcase near the ceiling if I had it anywhere near eye level I'd never be able to eat while it's on (it does look nice while it's off, though). I've submitted a return request for mine.
Update 1/26/13: I got an email from the seller that they'd only refund half my money since the item had been opened and used. I wonder how a customer can determine whether an item's defective (or just plain sucks) without trying it? Anyway, it's a different vendor from the current posting of this item my order was not "fulfilled by Amazon", like this one. Just saying...BUYER BEWARE think twice before buying from a non-fulfilled-by-Amazon vendor on these lites.
One thing I've noticed is that the level of ambient light makes a big difference in how it looks. I also have the white wax/black liquid Batman lamp and they react pretty differently to light level. With lots of light in the room, like during a sunny day, the light coming from the bulb is less noticeable and the wax takes on a nice inky black color. But at night, even in a well-lit room, the wax looks purplish and there's lots of light reflection, and it doesn't look very cool. I think even the black wax has some transparency so it appears purple when the light traveling through it is visible. Meanwhile, the one with white wax looks better in a darker room because the wax glows more.
The point being, this is a great color choice if you're going to be using it during the day, like at the office. If it's going to be on at night I'd suggest a lighter wax color.
There's one other thing I noticed: this lamp has more interesting lava flow than my white wax lamp. I get lots of snakey long blobs and nice medium-sized round balloony ones going up and down. The white lamp just has a thin strip of wax that rises every few seconds from a mass at the bottom. I have a feeling it's because the black wax absorbs more heat and so the whole system runs hotter. Or it could just be due to variation across different lamps.
I haven't had any cloudiness issues with mine, but you definitely want to check return policies before you buy these over the Internet. And for the love of Mike, don't have one of these shipped across the country during hot weather.

I've really enjoyed this lava lamp. Black lava and clear liquid is a nice combination that doesn't seem to have the funky groovy retro feel of the more colorful versions ... it's more classy looking, Batman graphics notwithstanding. One thing I've noticed is that the level of ambient light makes a big difference in how it looks. I just got this lamp for my grandson's birthday and since we don't live in the same city I needed to know that this product was as advertised and also wasn't damaged. The solution inside the lamp is advertised as being clear but this was not so. It was very opaque and that made the flowing wax look pale grey, not pleasant to look at. I am returning this item and I may get the lamp with the dark fluid and white wax.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Lava Lite 2414 The Dark Knight RisesTM Scene Lava Lamp, Black

Very cute, gives off lots of light. Works great as a bedside table lamp. It is short, make sure to read the dimensions before you buy. Arrived well packaged, dangling crystals were a little tangled, but came out easily. My 8 year old loves it.Best Deals for Tadpoles Mini Chandelier Table Lamp
This is absolutely beautiful! It looks so much better in person and was the simple touch of elegance needed in my daughters nursery!Honest reviews on Tadpoles Mini Chandelier Table Lamp
My daughter sent the link to order as a desk lamp and I didnt investigate much. We laughed when opening it up as it ships with a 7.5W bulb and allows a maximum of 15W. Cute for a girls room, but realize that it should be considered more for a night light than a reading or desk lamp.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Tadpoles Mini Chandelier Table Lamp
I bought this lamp based on reading the reviews. The lamp is pretty; however, the white paint is chipping and even before we used the lamp a big piece of white paint came off and now you see a black plastic. I think the lamp is poor quality. I would not buy it again.
