The lamps looks great. The side arms are a bit wonky, but once you get them figured out, it is OK. Would love to have a larger version with stable arms.

Review of Kaanapali Seashell Table Lamp
We recently decided to decorate our bedroom in a beach motif. We had a very difficult time finding lamps for our nightstands that matched what we were looking for. I came across this lamp and thought it was beautiful, so I purchased two of them. The seller's photo does not depict the lamp's true beauty. I was dually impressed by the beauty and the quality of this product. The shell in the center of the lamp is beautifully sculpted and is multi-tone. The lamp shade is a creamy beige color and is oval in shape; these characteristics are difficult to determine in the photo. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to decorate their home in a beach motif.The lamp look great. Makes out bedroom look like we are at the beach. The shell is big and looks excellent. Buy GE 47452-3 42 Watt (150 Watt equivalent) Energy Smart Soft White
General Electric makes these 42-watt (120-Volt, 150 watt equivalent) compact fluorescent light bulbs (or "CFLs"); and they do work pretty well! I used one of these bulbs for the main light fixture in my dining room area a few days ago; and I'm now starting to actually save a little extra money on my electric bill. I really like that these light bulbs last much, much longer than conventional "incandescent" light bulbs. This will last me for quite a few years.
One thing is very positive: for most lighting fixtures, you will not have to worry about the compact fluorescent light bulb fitting into the electrical bulb socket. They fit in very easily; I even compared the two metallic ends in the store to make sure they really were the same width and length! This truly manages to omit just as much light as a conventional 150 watt light bulb while only using 42 watts of energy.
There is one change, however, that I will have to get used to: these bulks don't exactly function the same way incandescent bulbs do. First, when you turn on the light, the bulb will flicker for about 15 to 30 seconds before turning on all the way. Actually, this isn't too bad. The second "feature" is that the light from the bulb isn't quite the same that you would get from an incandescent bulb. The light just seems slightly less intense although I admit there's not a major difference.
Overall, these bulbs DO save money and they fit most lighting fixtures. Do NOT choose these if you have a "dimmer" feature on your lighting fixture; I believe that they make special fluorescent bulbs just for that type of lighting fixture. I predict that you will definitely save money on your electric bill; and I really like that these bulbs last for years at a time. That's incredible; most of not all incandescent bulbs would have to be replaced much, much sooner than these bulbs will need to be replaced. I recommend compact fluorescent light bulbs ("CFLs") for people like me who want to go as "green" as soon as possible.
This one CFL replaces six 60 watt incandescent bulbs in our ceiling fixture and also the output is much brighter. The package says saves $130 over the life of this bulb, if it replaced a filament 150 bulb. It must be twice the saving, as it replaces 300 hungry watts.

I would recommend stepping down to 100 watt equivalent, for size concerns in your lamps. Luckily and unluckily, my floor-standing lamps do not have a shade from the top. Luckily, they fit the lamps. Unluckily, they are higher than normal bulbs an stick out a little, blinding you with their light output.

While looking at a competitor's bulb, I noted that it was 6.5" tall, so I paid attention to this GE bulb. There is no mention of bulb height, a serious omission IMHO. I went to GE's site and found there that the height of this bulb above the lamp socket is 6.4". That means that neither the GE bulb nor its competitor will fit in ANY of my table or floor lamps. Their lamp harps (the gadgets that support the shade) are all too short. Bummer! These bulbs are great. The use less watts than a conventional bulb, whoch is great. However, since these are 150-watt equivalent light output, they are extremely large in size. Their light output is room-filling for sure and this is why I bought them.I would recommend stepping down to 100 watt equivalent, for size concerns in your lamps. I have been using these bulbs for 6 months in my living room. They have worked flawlessly. Very bright and yet economical. Highly recommended.

This was a super cute lamp... until one day I set a metal necklace on the lamp base (it was plugged in but not turned on) connecting the two telescoping ends, connecting some sort of circuit and the lamp started to catch on fire! the base was smoking noxious burning plastic smoke.
I had bought two of these lamps (different batch numbers) and they both spark and start to catch on fire when you connect the two telescoping ends with anything metal. Yeah, the scientist in me wanted to see if it was reproducible.
DO NOT GET THIS LAMP!! I have reported it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the report is posted and searchable on their website.

I bought this lamp to read late at night without disturbing my sleeping spouse. This little lamp casts just enough concentrated light to read, and without the flickering that some earlier "booklights" produced. I bought this for its sleek look. Bad decision. I should have researched a bit more.Opening the package, I noticed it's a lot smaller than I had thought. Assembly took almost no time, after switching it on --alas --what a big let down. Despite the number of LEDs, the light is still dim, and the area it lightens on the desk is barely able to cover a piece of letter sized paper, even when it's fully extended.
I would give it a one star for I really can't think of any use how to salvage this $30 purchase.

I bought this so I could see my keyboard without putting the main lights on and getting reflections and glare off my screen. Ideal, although another couple of inches of height would be nice. Enough light too to give a pool of light just big enough to read by, without dazzle.If you want to light up the whole work surface though, this isn't it.

the colour is just like the picture and it looks great in my childs room but i have had to put the lamp shade upside down so that the globe doesnt poke out the top. not really a big issue it works and does what its supposed to just a bit annoying.

Really like the overall design. Very nice size. However, it arrived very damaged. The entire chair had become unglued from the base, and two of the slats on the chair back were completely off. Rather than go through the return process, I will find my super glue and repair it myself. But for the price, it should have arrived undamaged.

Totally beautiful, elegant lamps for my tables. These would go in a formal living room. I needed smaller lamps for my den that would not dominate the open space I have between my kitchen and my den, these fit-the-bill.
