I purchased these as I wanted a small accent lamp. They came early, well packed, and exactly as the picture shows. I was actually surprised at how pretty they are. They offer ample accent lighting. A bonus I did not notice in the description is that they seem to take 2 way lights, a dimmer and a brighter switch.

I like this task light so much that I bought a second one to use in my woodworking shop. It is nice looking, compact and has rugged construction. The On/Off switch is ideally located for convenient access. I may buy another one soon.

This is the perfect lamp for clipping onto your headboard in order to read in bed. Nice styling/shape. It takes a 60 watt bulb (most little lamps take only up to 40 watts, I think). I purchased two of these to use as bedtime reading lamps. One of them is perfect and is exactly what I was hoping for. The other isn't and it droops... the neck can't support the weight so I have to bend it at a funky angle to get it to stay which is a little bit disappointing. If you try to install this on a vertical board, say on a headboard as a reading lamp, it just falls over limply. Since I would imainge this is one of the main reasons people would buy this lamp, that seems like a handicap. It works better if installed on a horizontal board, such as the edge of a desk. The lamp is beautiful, how ever, If you plan on hanging it with a drape to the chain I would suggest buying extra chain and grounding wire. we have had to spend quite a bit more than we planned to hang it. For the price there should be left over materials. I wish that they would have offered that I would have gotten it with the lamp. The other thing is the light bulbs are exposed, no cover. I wish that would have been mentioned in the description too.Hope this is helpful to the next buyer of one of their lamps, ask B/4 buying!!

We purchased this lamp for our kitchen after a lot of comparison shopping. The colors are vivid and the high-efficiency twist bulbs work great in it. We used the 20W bulbs which throw out 100W of light each60W bulbs are too dim with this shade. The instructions, though, left a lot to be desired. They consisted of a diagram of the parts included with the lamp and how they fit together. If you are not skilled with electrical things, installing this may be somewhat problematic. Hubby is good with electrical and it was an hour start to finish (with quite a bit of time spent ensuring the lamp hung evenly). I love the colors on this lamp, very bright. It works well on a night stand next to the bed. Nice "mood" lighting. The base of the lamp is is a little cheap looking, but OK. It is made in China. This is a great product. The sound is surprisingly good for the size and having the remote to control the ipod is very useful, since you can't from the base. Only sound, power, and light on/off control is on the lamp itself. The bass enhancement is a one-press button that does very little, but that's to be expected from a unit this small.(5watts total output) The base support is solid unlike the cheaper iHL10, but it came out of the box a little loose, so I had to tighten the large flathead screw to keep the shaft in the position I preferred. (problem easily solved) Plus, you can also adjust the head to point in any position as well. The halogen bulb shines bright & much better than my traditional lamp.
Lowes had these on clearance with their XMAS items, so I picked it up for $25.00 new! Frankly, I think it's too spendy at $100+ for what you get. With all of its coolness, full controls on the base would have been nice along with a spot to stash the controller, and because of the high street price I'm giving it 4 stars.

I have had my lamp for almost two years now and it has served me wonderfully as a bedside lamp. The only problem I have recently had is that the bulb burned out and I have been unable to find the correct size replacement. When the bulb burns out, your ipod wont play, so the lamp becomes useless. The iHome desk lamp/iPod docking station has surprisingly good sound for such compact speakers (much better than the ones in my computer). I have this set up in my office at work and have the added bonus of a halogen light too, which comes in handy for task lighting. Also included is a small remote that allows you to control the iPod as well as the light. It fits all size iPods mine is a classic and fits right in place, but if you have a nano or other size, there are inserts to allow them to fit in place.With a sleek and contemporary design, it is a bit costly at over $100 but I managed to find it at a discount store for $40, making it an even sweeter deal.

My husband bought the iHome desk lamp with speakers iHome Desk Lamp with Surround Sound Speakers and iPod/mp3 dock, Black. I absolutely love it. The speakers have great quality for their size. It's easy to use and I love the light that it has. It's perfect for my desk at work. I highly recommend this product.
