No frills, sturdy, bends all around. I have mine clipped vertically to a wood shelf over my desk and I can adjust the goose neck without the clamp slipping. Its nice looking (mine is red) and has a plastic cover over the switch that's easier to turn than what is shown. The cord is about 4 feet.

The switch broke on the first day we used this lamp. We removed the black plastic knob covering the switch because it was loose, but still can't consistently get the light to turn on or off without wiggling it a lot. Maybe it's just our bad luck, but we're not impressed with the durability. The clamp is sturdy, and the light is easy to move around, giving you lots of flexibility. Perfect shape for use on the bottom of a bunk bed.

The clip was broken the first time I used it .and it is not returnable! I really doubt the quality. I will never buy anything in this store again.

I bought this clip on lamp for an elderly client. At first it was great, but soon after the switch became difficult to turn...which is not good for the elderly. I bought this lamp a while ago so I didn't know if I could return it.

My daughter's have loft beds in their room, and I wanted to get them a small lamp to read by at night so they wouldn't have to get all the way down to turn off the overhead room light. I tried some lamps similar to these that I bought at a local store, but the plastic clamps immediately cracked and wouldn't hold.

I bought two of these lamps initially and one had a defective switch right out of the box. You turn these on and off via the little knob on the back of the red shade. When trying to turn on/off of the one that was defective, it would make a scary crackling noise and the light would intermittently flash on and off, like it wasn't a good connection.

I returned it and asked for it to be replaced, and the replacement works fine as does the other one I bought originally. I put CFL bulbs in them so they don't get too hot. While I was worried that the plastic clamp would break, it is very sturdy and has stood up well. Lastly, we like very much that the "goose neck" is adjustable so you can focus the light any direction needed by simply twisting/bending it (and it holds the position well).

I'm hopeful that the problem I had was just a single bad unit, but I didn't feel like I could legitimately give the product the full five stars given that I had a problem, so I docked it one star. Other than that, these are great in my opinion.
