We have now had this lamp for almost a year. No problems with it. We like the warm glow it gives off. If you are the practical type like me and don't need a $2000.00 real copper one, this is great.

This lamp does the job and looks nice. I've had it for a few months now and have had several compliments on it.

Rather than buying an expensive antique lamp with real bronze or copper I decided to try this for a bit and I think now I'll actually keep it around. It puts off a really nice warm glow and looks great against the dark wood trim in my 1911 Craftsman home.

Yes it came with a lot of styrofoam as the other reviewer mentioned but so did every lamp I've bought, it sure didn't deter from the quality of the item itself which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. I'd give it 5 stars if the base of the lamp weren't sort of painted on a wheel looking. The stripes in it are a tad bit cheesy looking up close if you really examine the finish carefully. This detail is minimal though compared to how nice the shade looks.

Our 1911 bungalow living room is dark quarter-sawn oak with coffered walls and ceilings. It is both literally and financially a black hole. The dark architectural elements make it very difficult to light. Additionally, this type of home really DEMANDS a certain authenticity and (for example) doesn't tolerate design errors. This table lamp fits right into the style and is pretty decent for a little over 100 bucks. Look at brass or copper versions if you have a hankering for authenticity but considering the number of light units it takes to give our very dark room ANY perceptible light, these fixtures are life and money savers. Four stars because the lamps hang a bit low and the ersatz mica lamp shade looks manufactured rather than natural.

We had already purchased a floor lamp in this style. This one is relatively small/short. It was a nice addition as an accent lamp. I think it would be a bit weak as a reading lamp.
