Our guest room still had a 1980's model television armour, a big ugly thing that was so dated it was embarrassing. The room had an empty corner that was the perfect spot for a large tv.This was a nice simple solution. It is unobtrusive and practical and holds a 42 inch television nicely. I would not recommend any larger television for this or it's not only going to overwhelm this tv stand, but the set will be too wide to fit into the 90 degree corner of a room. This is attractive and I like the frosted glass shelves. Although this is almost four feet wide across the front edge, the glass shelves lighten the whole thing up consisderably and make it less obtrusive than if it had solid shelves.
This is a sturdy well made piece. I feel the price is about right that it is offered at here. It's reasonably attractive. A 42 inch set looks just right and this is a nice change of pace from the old armour it replaces. I can't think of any negatives about this.
