I just received my lamp and for the most part am very pleased with it. I very much like the hammered base. However, I am disappointed in the bird. It is not made of the same quality as the rest of the lamp. I'm not sure what it is made of but it appears to be plastic, and one foot has broken away from the branch it is sitting on. Although this bothers me, it doesn't bother me enough to go through the hastle of sending the lamp back. Why a manufacturer would make a lamp of this quality and then put a cheap looking bird on it is a mystery to me. I also thought the tree-like portion of the lamp would have a more bronze-like finish but it is a smooth, black wrought iron finish.This is a very nice lamp with a heavy base. Good size for an end table next to a bed or sofa. LOVE the 3-way switch!
