I guess for $50 you get what you pay for. A basic small table lamp with a clean design. What bothers me is the shade does not screw atop the bulb holder...it just sits there and seems kind of poorly designed or better designed to be as cheap to make as possible. This lamp is replacing one from Ikea that I liked better in terms of style and quality finish but the switch went after two years and wasn't worth repairing. The Ikea lamp was actually a few dollars cheaper.
Let's see how long this one lasts.
If you are looking for something a little more finished (like all parts screw together securing shade and lamp) pass on this choice.
