This lamp turned out to be the perfect shade of pink to match my daughter's Disney princess bedding. It takes a small light bulb, up to 40 watts so it can never be a BRIGHT light (which was not what we were looking for). It has a rolling switch on the cord, which will be a little more difficult for her to turn on and off, but at least it keeps her hands away from the light bulb. Seems pretty sturdy and doesn't appear to be top-heavy. Shade is attached by seating it and then screwing in a plastic ring (and then the bulb can't remove it if the bulb is screwed in), but it is removable and replaceable if you have a similar type shade attachment. A very nice little lamp for a little girl's nightstand.

Still love the first lamp after months of use! Liked it so much, just bought a cream colored one for my baby's room, too.

I'm always skeptical of purchasing items online, but this lamp is great! I bought two of them. The pink in the online photo is reflective of the actual pink of the shade, and the stem of the lamp is sturdy/heavy (not wobbly or flimsy). Note of caution, though: the stem part of the lamps I received is more cream color than a pure white. The cream is perfect for my room, but if you're looking for pure white, you might be disappointed.

This lamp arrived in good condition. The base is heavy duty. The lamp looks like the picture. What more can I say? It is limited to a 40W bulb. It would have been nice to have a switch on the base, rather than on the cord, but it looks nice and that's what's most important in my case.

I had been looking at the lamps at pottery barn kids/teen etc. so expensive. This one was perfect, well priced. Base is heavy so it won't fall over, shade pretty. The switch on the cord is a little difficult for my 5 year old to turn off and on herself but she is working in it.

I was pleasantly surprised with just how cute this lamp was. The small ruffle detail makes it look very feminine. It's the perfect size for a nursery and the pink is a safe shade that will match with any girls room. Very happy with the purchase.
