We've been using this lamp for a couple of days now, and are happy with it. I chose it to replace a more fragile lamp, hoping for one that won't end up a dangerous pile of shards if the puppy knocks it over. Not sure what the base is made of, but it appears to fit the bill.
It's not as tall as most table lamps, so check the dimensions if your location calls for height. We use it as a reading lamp on a chair-side table and find it to be a good height for our purpose.
The color is pleasant -not quite a solid brown as shown, it has a little bit of antiquing, or "rub" on the edges (part of the decor, not damage). I wasn't expecting that, but it's not a problem. The shade is very white (just what I wanted) -not ivory or tan as most seem to be now.
The vendor was kind enough to call us to fix a glitch in the address, so the delivery wouldn't be delayed -in fact, it arrived even sooner than expected. I look forward to using them again.
