Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I love this lamp! First of all, I'm crazy about pink, so the color rocks. Second, I love that it raises and lowers, so it's nice and compact if I want to move it and I can keep it at different heights. And to have it so it also plays my music? How fun is that?! The sound is amazing good too! This would make an awesome gift for anyone, including yourself.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Pros: Cute designWorks well as a speaker for iPod and Kindle
Compact, would travel well
Would make a nice inexpensive gift (at the price it is at the moment)
Light is perfect for accent lighting.
Cons: No volume control on the unit, not very loud.
VERY sticky tape securing the top down, which was unnecessary.
Light is not exceptionally bright, more of an accent light than a functional one.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program + Neat and compact+ Simple to operate out of the box
+ Versatile: desk light plus speaker
+ Bright energy-efficient LED
+ Decent sound quality
Color isn't as what I expected. But then this is more of a personal preference so it doesn't matter much.
Overall this is a great product.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My daughter claimed this one. When you hool up an Ipod to it, the sound is good. It's especailly good for kids, my daughter is 10. I don't think the light is strong enough to do much more then be a small reading lamp but overall it looks great. The light will fold down and it makes for a portable lamp. Ipod hookup is easy enough and the sound is good. Overall, very satisfied.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Vibe-pebble Foldable USB Powered Led Light/Computer/MP3 Speaker
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Okay, I might not have quite the same reaction, had I gotten this lamp/speaker combo in a more sedate color, such as black or silver. Still, there's no denying the shiny kid-appeal of this item, at least in its dayglo-hued flavors. It's actually one of the charms of the lamp, along with a vaguely anthropomorphic design which suggests that its parents might be EVE from the movie WALL-E, and Pixar's Luxo (Senior). It's got a cute, round, low profile form, with a fitted lamp module that extends up from two chromed antennae. It's got a big, oval front speaker for an "eye". Never mind utility although it does have some of that as well. The manufacturer was after curb, I mean *box* appeal, and the VO5 has loads of that. What it doesn't have is a lot of horsepower. I find the speakers offer amplification better than what I currently enjoy with my first generation Kindle Fire which isn't saying an awful lot, but it's adequate for most quiet(ish) environments. Similar can be said for the lamp it's a fine ambient light and definitely a step above a night light in terms of getting you from desk to bed without banging your shin. But that's pretty much it. (Remember how your mom said you'd ruin your young eyes by reading in that inadequate light? Turns out the studies don't entirely agree with her, and certainly I expect that this will be an adequate emergency reading light for younger eyes that will mostly be fixed on their pad devices, anyways.)
What I appreciate the most is the portability of the VO5. (And did anyone bother to talk to the hair care company before naming it? But I digress...) Right now, I have a de-cluttering project (ongoing) in my home, and this unit moves like a champ from upstairs to downstairs to out in the garage. No, the sound isn't stereophonic bliss, more like 1976 boombox nostalgia but in a VERY lightweight and compact package! Paired with Pandora Internet Radio on my Kindle Fire, it's all I need to keep me going as I face a dreaded chore.
I would consider another of these as an "away" station for my device, if only the manufacturer would include a charger as part of the price. I suppose that this would present logistical challenges the overwhelming majority of devices these days use the same size headphone/audio jack, but the same kind of standardization has yet to exist for power sources. The price (as of this writing) seems a bit high to me, for what it is even a charging outlet on the lamp would be a welcome improvement. Also from Checkolite, the similarly priced Juicy Organizer Desk Lamp with Charging Outlet Pink, does have just such an outlet. (But it's not as cute.)
