The first lamp arrived and unfortunately came with a defective shade. When the shade was put on, it sat low and showed all the ugly socket parts. I was very disappointed. However I contacted Amazon, and within 2 days a new lamp arrived with a good shade, I am now happy. The lamp itself is very modern which I love, the brushed nickel is very nice, the switch is right on the base, and the lamp comes all put together other than the shade. It did not come with a light bulb, and it does not take a regular light bulb, it takes one of those small socket light bulbs. Luckily I did have one at home, but most people may not, and it would be nice if they included it so people can use the lamp right away, and have time to go to the store and buy more. I am giving it 5 stars due to Amazon's service, and the fact that it is a gorgeous and unusual contemporary lamp. I would buy it again, and I do highly recommend it if you are looking for a brushed nickel, contemporary lamp.
