The last few years my husband has had to use glasses for close up work. So I ordered one of these for him for Christmas. He loves it. He doesn't need to use glasses to work on small parts anymore. It's very sturdy and the lens stays where you put it so you can use both hands to work. It has a large glass lens (not plastic) and a bright light that shines toward whatever you are working on and not in your eyes. It comes with a clamp to attach the lamp to the wall or worktable but he drilled holes in his table so he can move it to either end where he is working at the time. The lamp has a peg that lifts out of the clamp easily, making it very portable. He would have liked to have it in black but at the time it only came in white. A friend saw it and liked it so well he had me order two for him. One for his workshop and one for inside the house.

This product will exceed your expectations. No it is not a 300.00 unit built in the US, but for the money it has a long reach a bright light and decent magnification. I was so happy with it I bought a second for a friend who is difficullt to buy for and he said it was the nicest thing anybody ever gave him. We are over 50 and need the help.
